Too much defective junk

I loved this place years ago, but the last few timed i ordered they sent stuff i didn't ordet, nevrr teplied to my emails, and they sent defective stuff that i would have to return at my expense.
I do better on amazon and best buy, won't ever use newegg again. Bsd customer service, ripoff.

I have no gift to give this year because NewEgg.com did not ship.

Wrap your mind around what a simplistically stupid scenario that is.

Even though I approved transaction verification with my bank, NewEgg.com placed and never removed a hold on my order. They did place a charge on my bank account and I assumed this meant the order was processing; apparently, they require a further confirmation before shipping. This charge has yet to be removed even though the order has cancelled.

During my discussion with customer service, I was never given an option to get the product here, receive a discount, or have an understanding of what occurred. Customer service will not assist you with your problems. Although, I'm sure they'll put a nice "We're sorry to hear you've had problems. Feel free to contact us We'*******@newegg.com" blurb at the bottom of this.

I have the option of spending my money anywhere and I choose to not spend it at NewEgg.com ever again.

To make a long story short, my boyfriend and I ordered computer parts from Newegg and they shipped a water cooler and a processor together in one box to me. When I received the box, only the water cooler was in there. I called the company to file a claim and eventually was denied because, "all of their stock was accounted for," and I told them the box didn't look tampered with so they told me they could not file a claim with the carrier. They didn't even consider the possibility that one of their workers probably took it home in their back pocket. So Newegg customer service told me they could do NOTHING for me and I was out $374.99! They refused to help me so I filed a claim with the BBB, filed a claim through my bank and also filed a police report. I just recently in the last week received my money back through Regions and the bank is persuing them further. I am disgusted with this company and the lack of customer service they provide customers. I would advise others to go elsewhere or you stand the chance of having to fight the same battle I did.

I beg all people that come on this site to tell your family, friends, relatives, co workers or anyone that you care about to avoid dealing with this company. They dont deserve anybodys business! Take it from someone whos been had from dealing with this company. Also alert anyone on social media that you know. We as hard working Americans should not be subjected to criminals of this nature. Avoid at all cost

Never buy anything from them. Bought my daughter's Christmas gift from them and they gave me fake tracking numbers. Looks like my daughter will not be getting her gift.

I first bought from Newegg in 2001 and have been a loyal customer, off and on, for a long time.

Recently bought a new TV, arrived with half dead pixels. "Ok, no problem" I thought because Newegg was a good company, right? Oh man. It's now been over 2 weeks, I received the following promises:

1) Your return label is 2 day - lie 12/7/2015
2) Your RMA will be expedited - lie 12/7/2015
3) I will set your RMA to be expedited and 2 day shipping back to you (other customer service rep, noting that it was standard) - lie 12/18/2015

I just got off the phone with "RMA specialists" - they were rude and hostile. I explained I was upset about this process and the rep noted "it will take 2-5 days to process your RMA, we just received it Saturday" (now Tues). I asked about the expedited RMA - "I don't see anything, well I see one thing here - I guess it might be faster than 2-5 days."

Seriously? Not only will I not be able to give my Christmas gift that I ordered almost a month ago, but I hope I get it before New Year's...

Pathetic process, pathetic customer service. I can even understand laziness, but for employees to get hostile with customers is beyond a business mistake, it's unacceptable.

"Item ordered from the marketplace seller (American Medical Supply) does not arrive at all. Call the customer care goes on and on waiting for more than 45mins... really? I have had no oppurtunity to talk to them at all and 3-4 such efforts in vain. Even the chat says waiting time of 10mins and does not connect at all.
When i raise the concern via mail Jay from service team includes the seller. Its a story started 3 weeks back and seller would hardly respond to mails. And now the best part is seller asks me raise a theft complaint with shipping provider and bluntly rejects to provide even the refund(forget about the replacement even aftr waiting for 3 weeks) and cleanly washes off hands... How pathetic could this seller be... still co-ordinating with Jay. Hopefully Newegg would intervene n resolve this issue. Will update this review as i hear back. "

Not worth the hassle

I seldom write reviews of any kind but the service I received for this company was soooo bad. It really is a company to avoid doing business with. Here's my story...

Ordered a new laptop as my computer had died and Lenovo was scheduled to take two months to fix it. I ordered a new laptop on a Saturday. However, checking email on Monday, I discovered that my order had been cancelled without notice. I called customer service... what is wrong with my order? "Don't know... maybe the address needs to be split up." Okay, I have a funky address... a UPS box, so I have a suite and a box number. Customer Support suggests moving the suite and box number to the second address line. Can you do that for me? "No. The order is cancelled we can't uncancel it." Can you submit another order for me with those changes? "No... we can't enter orders." Do you have a mobile app. "Yes." Recall, of course, that I have no computer access, only my phone. (Oh yes, the charges to my credit card had already gone through and been charged to my credit card.)

So I attempted to download the mobile app. Needed iOS version 9. Attempted to download but needed more space and thus deleted some music. Updated the IOS and installed the app. Found the computer, submitted an order and got a server error. Tried a couple more times. Opened up chat application (which doesn't size correctly on a mobile device). In chat asked, I am getting a server error, are there server issues going on? "Not that I am aware of". So why would I be getting a server error. "don't know." So how can you help me solve this problem? "I can submit the issue for review" And how long would that take? "Couple of days" This conversation ended with some not nice words.

Went the library and ordered the computer using Paypal rather than my credit card.

Oh yeah, I paid extra for two day shipping. AFTER you place the order, there is a notice that says to allow 2 to 3 days to package and ship the order. REALLY?

Rebate Fraud!

I recently purchased a Corsair SPEC-3 case which was offering a $15 rebate. However, although I received a Corsair SPEC-3 case from Newegg, the UPC on the box was 1 digit off from the UPC in the rebate offer. Neither Newegg nor Corsair seem at all concerned by this bait and switch, and refuse to honor the rebate.

Although Newegg does offer a wide selection at reasonable prices, I will have to weigh all options before ordering from them again... and will never fall for their rebate offers anymore.

UPDATE: Newegg asked that I send them all of the information so they can research why the rebate was not honored. On December 16, they stated "... I apologize that Corsair did not honor the rebate and I have submitted a request to our Rebate Team so that they can further look into this. I have included all the information you provided and they will be further looking into this with Corsair. Once our Rebate Team receives an update they will send you an email with more information. Please let me know if you have any questions and I would be glad to further assist." To date, I have heard nothing else. In looking at all of the claims to which Newegg has responded with promises to assist, I have noticed a complete lack of people posting updates on how Newegg fixed the problem. It is clear that their offers is merely lip service that they have no intention of fulfilling... Knock them another star for that!

In short, if you're a gambler, use Newegg. Customers either receive their correctly filled order in a timely fashion, or they are completely hosed by a company that couldn't care less if you're happy or not because they already have your money. Even if they ship a defective item, they still profit from the return fees. So, use at your risk because sooner or later, Newegg will hose you too!

New update. Newegg has finally decided to honor the rebate (their fault). Accordingly, I have upgraded the review to 3 stars (Ok). It shouldn't have been this difficult, but they did right in the end. I could only wish that these other folks would have similar happy endings...

So, Newegg CANCELLED my order without my permission with no explanation, and then, when I tried to call the customer service line, I was put on hold for 3 HOURS. I tried the levitate, but no one ever connected to me, and I was hung up with on the phone. NEVER use this service.

My history with Newegg dates back to my first computer build in 2003 with many builds and components since. I remember orders being shipped the next day with fast shipment times. I'll admit that in the last year I've become an Amazon junkie because, well... If I don't get stuff the same day, it's 2 days max. Incredible. However, I decided to give Newegg a shot with a new motherboard and CPU last week... What a mistake! I ordered Sunday 12/6 with 3-day shipping (Newegg 3 day) specified. The order didn't get shipped until Tuesday 12/8 and they incorrectly shipped UPS ground versus the 3-day I paid for. The package won't arrive until 12/14! That's 8 calendar days after the order was made.
This was the last order I will place with Newegg. To put things in perspective, on Thursday 12/10 (while I'm waiting for my package from Newegg that won't arrive until the following Monday), the same components on Amazon have a Prime member option for delivery by Saturday 12/12. That's 2 calendar days from order and 2 calendar days before the Newegg shipment will arrive which was ordered a week before! And, good luck trying to get in contact with anyone from Newegg to get your shipping refunded. You'll sit on the phone for hours and the live chat is a joke. When you first log in to chat, you're greeted by a message saying it will be a 42 minute wait. After the wait time counted down to 29 minutes, it reset to 45 minutes... LOL...
Hey Newegg, listen closely, UNLESS YOU RADICALLY CHANGE YOUR DELIVERY BUSINESS AND CUSTOMER SUPPORT, AMAZON WILL PUT YOU OUT OF BUSINESS. GOODBYE AND GOOD LUCK.

One time I received an order next day, and i'm in Massachusetts and the package was coming from NJ so i'm not even sure how they did it :).
They have great selection of computer gear - the first place I look if I'm building a computer.

Ruined the surprise for my husband, as he's the one that answered the door. While that annoyed me, the fact that I contacted customer service and got NO RESPONSE annoyed me more.

Security Flaws

My account was hacked into, information changed and an order made with my stored credit card information. Although they advertise the highest confidence of security, they do not practice it.

Additionally, when I tried to contact them the online chat was down and phone wait time exceeded one hour...

On December 6, I wrote about the customer service nightmare that Newegg put me through when I tried to change the shipment address for a delivery. At the time I purchased the computer, I also purchased Microsoft Office 365. I now get an error message that my program is not licensed. So, I tried to start another chat session with Newegg. Here's the message I received: "5:49:05 PM undefined CS Team: You are next in queue... Estimated wait time is 0 hours 0 minutes 5 seconds.' It is now 6:09, and no one has come on to start a chat. So now, instead of telling me that it would take an hour to even start a chat with me, Newegg has apparently just decided to lie outright.
Stay away from this company. What good does it do to get something at what seems like a good price when the company deliberately hides if there's a problem?

Recently bought a power supply. One of the cables that go to the motherboard was missing. Also, there was a $20 rebate offer. I WAS within the time frame. No info was included when I received the psu. None could be found on the site either. Contacted them regarding these 2 issues. I got a standard reply saying they'd get back to me in 3 to 5 business days. That hasn't happened either. Customer service is non-existent. You also don't get what you pay for and their advertised rebates are a sham.

Dont put customers first
December 4, 2015

I order a 300$ graphics card late Monday night. I called Newegg first thing Tuesday morning to add the RUSH service. The person I talked to on the phone told me that my order has already been picked and will be processed shortly. That there was no need to add RUSH service. The next day my order was not processed so I contacted Newegg through their chat service. They told me that I was unable to to add RUSH service now but my order should ship that day. They cut off for their carrier pickup is at 4PM PST. I contacted Newegg through there chat service again at 2:30PST and told them my order was still not processed and I need it to be shipped not just processed. They told me there was order was on track to be processed and make carrier pickup. At no surprise my order was not processed until after their carrier pickup time. They tried telling me that me order was processed on time but billing me and not shipping my order is not the same as shipping as my order. How would the bank like it if I told them I wrote a check for rent on the day rent was do but did not drop the check off until later that week. It is unexceptional. My order did not leave their warehouse until the next day until 4PM. Since they processed my order on Wednesday their web-site stated I would receive my order on Friday. Since it shipped on Wednesday and not Tuesday my order would not arrive until next Monday. I am a two day shipment from the warehouse since I am the next state over. I order my product on Monday and should have received it on Thursday or Friday. Since they were late on my shipment that I called 3 times and wasted 4 hours my package arrived 3 days later then it should have. I cannot explain how upset I am at Newegg. Any other company in America would have helped a customer who called in three times. Order #*******

Cheap Customer service
December 3, 2015

I did not receive my order 7 days, when I check my order I found the price was reduced. I did online chat. After waited an hour, a CS finally talk to me. He asked me to wait when look into the problem. I waited another half hour, and then the CS told me he can not do a price adjustment. I look back and found the price of the item increased. Your customer service brighten my eyes.
