Pros: Quick about shipping merchandise and getting it to you. Reliable. Good return policy. Customer service is usually good. Ads online are more accurate than Amazon so wrong items are sold and shipped. What you see is what you get.

Cons: Often more expensive than other online stores. They usually ship small items in a box that is much too large for the item. Selection of software is not as large as some other online stores.

I have been a customer of Newegg since 2005, I purchased complete computer systems as well as the incidental device and a ton of computer parts, chipsets. Power supplies, hard to find stuff, memory, screens. It always shows up quick and to date I have only had to call one time to get something corrected. Unpleasant shopping

I always buy something using newegg before, and like their good quality and service. But rencenly, i get a unpleasant shooing, I buy dresses from your newegg but I didn't get any confirmation number after payment, i am worried!

Have been buying from Newegg for at least 10 years. I find they have consistently good prices, a nice variety of products, quick shipping, and very little need for customer service because they get it right the first time. I've spent thousands at their site, along with others, and they currently lead the top 3 or 4 that I buy from. My experience with them spans memory, motherboards, hard drives, SSDs, power supplies, video cards, and miscellaneous boards, keyboards, mice, etc. I refurbish computers at a local community center for donation to needy families, so the need for low price and high quality is always on my mind. Good shop to do business with.

I don't trust 3rd party sellers, I'm hoping it does not go the way of amazon. I only purchase directly from newegg and have been happy with everything I have purchased from them. I've used them for years.

Great prices

Best Buy uses newegg and tiger direct for guareteed low prices. Those two retailers is usually the only two that Best Buy will ok for guareteed prices.

Shipment are always on time. They have great prices. There customer service always answers my calls and emails within 24 hours. I have also never had any trouble returning an item. I would not hesitate to buy from newegg.com.

Older comment below: I was a little more pissed with this shipment than other defective shipments simply because my order had to be shipped from 3 different sellers. 1 of them was newegg and it was the only package i received without grief. The sony sound bar that I ordered isnt even here yet. Its well over the 10 days. It shipped on the third and made a fast stop where I live until it finally went back to the other side of the united states. One of my monitors was broken with lines running through it and the other monitor that i have not complained about is very white washed no matter how much contrast and brightness I adjust. Honestly just finally wanted a multi monitor setup where all the monitors match. Newegg wont send a label to reship. I have to print it or screw off and take the loss. Its odd not to have some sort of printer about but right now... i dont have one, nor is it family and friends responsibility to provide me with a damn shipping label, as was suggested during chat help. I say that I wont use them again because of 3rd party sellers, but I really love Newegg and it has been my online source for a decade. Its getting ironed out but this cant happen like this too many times. The other option is to never use their 3rd party irresponsible sellers.

Original review: i will never use them again. I feel your pain. Garbage $#*!ers that accept no responsibility. I use to love them and trusted them. Never again. They are saying they will replace my $#*! monitor. But I already unboxed it. Sure I did. I had to find our that it was $#*! before i return it. They want it all repackaged the way you got it. I have all cables and stand. Not accaptable. They need the $#*!ing plastic wrap too. I will never do business with them again. Period

I purchased 2 monitors from them. Less than 30 days later one fails. Not their fault of course. But I expected a quick and easy return -- that's what their return page promises. Not even close. You have to have the original box. Who keeps the box for everything they buy? They blame it on the manufacturer, but I worked in retail a long time and retailers have lots of leverage with manufacturers. Why do they need the box -- so they can sell it to someone else?
When I get a defective product, I expect the retailer to be on my side.
Never again.

Update -- Their response is total____ They sold it to me. They know the serial number of every unit they sell -- or could know if they wanted to. And it doesn't change the fact that they promise easy returns. If they are not going to live up to the promise, at least they could stop making the promise. How about this for a return policy -- "Most likely, if you want to return something you are just out of luck. If you don't want it, what makes you think we would want it. Better luck next time."

I purchased a refurbished Hoover Quick & Light Carpet Shampooer through Newegg. Paid for extra fast delivery because I REALLY NEEDED TO CLEAN THE CARPETS DUE TO PET ISSUES. It did arrive quickly. And that is the only good thing in my experience. The box it was packed in was so flimsy and the packing material was flimsy paper. Pieces of the unit were broken off. THE DAMNED HOSE is missing. The ATTACHMENTS ARE MISSING. When I contacted Newegg their response was "Well it was REFURBISHED so the hose and attachments are not included!" You have GOT to be kidding me! Are these guys serious. Who the hell would buy anything like a carpet shampooer OR sell one and not include the hose? It doesn't work without the hose! What the!*@*! Are you supposed to do? Imagine a hose and let the shampoo just sit in the well? Do NOT purchase anything through these morons. Seriously - you have got to be kidding me! And I am out $80+ on this bull*!@@!

Spent $600.00 on a printer for my business. They sent me the printer that came with the European plug ins. Which seems weird since I'm a U. S company buying from a place in California. I called them and they wanted me to pay for the U.S. plug ins that they would send me. I was not going to give them any more money. So, I just went and bought U.S. plug ins from a local store and after all that the printer doesn't work. They told me to contact the manufacturer. So I did and the manufacturer said the printer I purchased was 4 years old and past the warranty stage. I would never recommend anyone to purchase anything from them. If you decide to... Good Luck!

I ordered a computer monitor, was shipped a computer case.

Immediately treated as if i was trying to rip off the company.

I have been doing business with them for years, and this is literally the only and last time they will make a mistake, because i am cancelling my account.

The only way for you to get refund if you don't know what you are talking about (i. E., the law of unsolicited merchandise) is to put your credit card information on hold for the amount of the item to be re-shipped to you (incase another $#*!ing mistake happens, they can charge you). Or you can wait 15 $#*!ing days for you to receive your product after you ship it back to them to complete their internal newegg investigation (which is probably run like NYC Police unions, fixing invoices/making the company not liable), then they would send you the correct item back. All while you waste your time and money and gas and energy going to the post office and dealing with that nightmare.

They want YOU as the CONSUMER to pay for their mistakes.

DO NO DEAL WITH NEWEGG EVER!

If you see something on newegg, copy the item, and price check the internet! There are actual reputable online shops you can spend money at with the customer in mind.

View those pictures, does that look like a 22" LG brand monitor?

$#*! no, it's a goddamn unknown quality/value computer case that arrived in a jank $#*! generic $#*! box with my intended products shipping label on it!

- BELOW YOU WILL SEE THEY SAY THEY RESPONDED TO COMPLAINT, THIS IS ONLY AFTER NUMEROUS CALLS TO CUSTOMER SERVICE, MY BANK (FOR FRAUD), AND FINALLY THE OFFICE OF THE CEO.

THAT IS HOW FAR I HAD TO GO FOR THEM TO FIX THEIR MISTAKE.

After posting this issue on Sitejabber, Newegg customer service offered to again review the returned item in question. On my second attempt to return, they did accept the item and issued a store credit, not a credit back to my credit card.

I purchased a Cyber PC that connects a small keyboard to a television using a USB Device. When it arrived, the keyboard was so small the numbers and letters were barely visible. In the on line photo, it appeared to be. Full size keyboard. I contacted NewEgg for a RMA and returned the item. A month later I receive an email from them saying the item's original retail box was not returned. I immediately replied and saying the box and all items contained were shipped back, unpacked in original condition. Three weeks later I receive the item back saying they can not accept it due to the missing box. I called customer no service and was told they could not accept it. I will never do business with NewEgg again and urge anyone considering purchasing anything from them to look elsewhere. They're a scam, selling low quality, deceptively advertised items with a no return policy, no matter what they advertise. Be aware.

Awful experience
February 16, 2016

I ordered a pair of speakers from their website 16 days ago. The seller was actually a private one but there were no indications of this in any of the emails I received, and it was not clear in the item webpage. Package never even shipped, I contacted the seller but thephone number is not active any more, never replied to my 3 emails. I then contacted Newegg's customer service 4 times, they did not know what to do but sending the seller an email. This happened 8 days ago, no answer yet. Even to obtain a refund newegg has first to contact the seller who needs to agree and reply to the customer, which has not happened yet. The worst web shopping experience I've ver had.

UPDATE: newegg customer service immediately contacted me after posting the review, telling me that the sellers provided for a replacement and the item would arrive in 24 hours. I would be ok, except that two days before I had asked for a refund and the newegg's agent told me they would have processed the refund quickly and internally. Thus I replied to the email explaining that I had asked for a refund and I did not want the item anymore, given that in the meantime I had bought it from another seller. More 36 hours have passed and no reply. These guys do not care about customers, but they seem to care about bad reviews. More updates will follow.

This is one of the better electronics sites out there. I ordered UPSs for work. They arrived in 2 days with the free shipping option. Awesome! Well packaged. Items just as stated.
Maybe not the cheapest but close. Barely higher than Chinese based companies. If you don't want to wait 6 weeks+ for stuff to come from China then I highly recommend Newegg.

Update: I have reviewed newegg.ca only. I cannot speak about newegg USA, Singapore, Australia, etc. I recommend that buyers look for specific reviews on those.

DO NOT BUY from Newegg
February 6, 2016

On Black Friday 2015 we ordered $1,100.00 in computer parts to build a new system for our son in college. They shipped via UPS who in left this package on our front porch and no one home. The package was stolen. We contacted Newegg and they contacted UPS to do an investigation, which 3 days before xmas was still not resolved. I got very impatient and tried to get this resolved so to have the gift for x-mas, One of their customer service members talked me into doing a whole new order (which I paid an additional $1,100.00 for; they in turn paid for 2 day shipping to have this under the xmas tree). They told me that once UPS would complete their investigation, they will refund the money. Too bad it was NOT THAT EASY.

The Newegg idiots then sent this shipment to a totally different address even AFTER they confirmed my mailing address. I managed to get that money refunded, but the initial shipment made in Nov. They were dragging their heals.

Needless to say our son never got his x-mas gift. It is now Feb and this issue still has not been resolved. They refuse to send new parts or refund our money because according to UPS they "delivered the package to the correct address, and therefore will not cover the cost."

Newegg then decided not to refund my money nor ship out the computer parts, They claimed that the 2nd shipment they made and refunded cuz they shipped to wrong address was the refund, and therefore the issue was resolved. They were not even considering the fact of the initial shipment from Nov. They seem to think that initial $1100. Was a present to them I guess.

Now Newegg claims after 2 months that they want to see a Police report. Sure why not report something stolen 2 months after the fact. After forwarding this police report, and now DEMANDING money refunded, I am still waiting for their reply. I went to the bank to dispute charges as well to get my money returned.

I don't care if I have to pay 4 times as much for computer parts by shopping somewhere else; I will NEVER buy anything from Newegg again. After this great experience they can kiss my $#*!! SHOP AT TIGER DIRECT instead. Never had issues with Tiger Direct.
