I purchased an apple laptop for almost $1000 on this site. The one they sent was not the one pictured. It didn't work. When I contacted the company they told me too bad, take it to Apple and have them service it. Apple wouldn't service it because it was too old (8 years). I am out $1,000 for nothing.
I have purchased many items including a TV set, computer memory, hard drives, DVD drives and more from Newegg. I have never had a problem with them. I particularly like the free shipping included with all my purchases. All my items have been bought directly from Newegg so I cannot comment on buying merchandise outsourced to one of their partners. But I have been very satisfied with them so far. They will most certainly have my business in the future.

I have been regularly ordering from Newegg for over 10 years and have never had any problem that was not resolved quickly and professionally. It does not have the vast variety of a site like Bestbuy or Amazon, but it has the highest quality products dealing with anything dealing with any type of computer. It also has the absolute best prices almost every time. They have great customer service, excellent deals, and extremely fast shipping. I have been using this site for 10 years. Purchased a subwoofer, 6 weeks later it died. Contacted Newegg - since I had purchased their 2 Year Replacement Extension Plan - was told that since it was after their 30-day warranty period I had to deal with the manufacturer. OK, I understand, but one would think that since I purchased an entire Home Theater speaker system from them (not inexpensive, either!), they would help. Especially since this was only 2 weeks past their 30-day refund exchange date. Nope; I was told that there are NO exceptions to their policy. They gave me the manufacturer's phone number.

I contact the manufacturer, which was a comedy of errors. This was not Newegg's fault.
Lo and behold, yesterday I received a RMA return authorization from Newegg! They were going to give me a full REFUND for the subwoofer. Of course, this was AFTER I had disassembled the subwoofer, and installed a new speaker (which was sent by the manufacturer - which is another story - luckily, I'm very handy and had the tools to do this - if I was a typical customer I wouldn't have been unable to do so due to the special screws used by the mfg).
REFUND? I purchased the 2 Year Replacement Extension Plan from Newegg, so I thought that I would be receiving a new subwoofer from them. Silly me. NEWEGG CANCELLED MY REPLACEMENT EXTENSION PLAN, and refunded me the cost. WITHOUT CONTACTING ME. Seems rather unethical.

I am a "premier" member and have been shopping at Newegg since 2009. I own a small business building and fixing computers. I've been mostly using amazon for my business needs but have used newegg frequently personally. So I tried moving some of my business over and a fiasco ensued which cost me $300, headache and potential loss of a longtime client. None of which was my fault. Newegg support offered me some assistance on a new purchase.It's difficult to call as I am very busy throughout the day and get pulled away and can't give my full attention. I recently have not been able to speak with who has been assisting me as they are so busy. I've been trying to work out the situation over email. To make matters worse when I am communicating via email most of the time something is completely missed, when I'm obviously asking a question it got ignored and an agreement fell through. The poor communication and lack thereof has made this more of a hassle than it has to be, perhaps the intention was good at first but I've gotten nowhere.

When I tried to return a failing fan I bought for my computer, Newegg tried to charge me $8 for the refund of a $7 fan! Got ahold of customer service online, and he fixed it for me, saying dont bother sending it back, just toss it. Also, gave me the full refund (online, of course) His name is Hugh F. Thanks Hugh!
However... I have dealt with the company for 10 yrs; when I first started they were by far the most reliable, open, and trustworthy company and they would have 5 stars no problem. Now they are completely different. The are no longer a computer items company at all. Now they sell: office furniture, janitorial supplies, air conditioners, automotive parts, refrigerators, sofas, women' s panties... the list goes on and on. They are no longer a computer/electronic parts company; they are trying to be another Amazon.com, but are failing miserably, at least from the customers standpoint.
One more thing: whenever I check for an item I am interested in, I am more than likely to see that it is being sold; not by Newegg, but from Achmeds Electronics in Nowhere NJ! I built my first computer in 1974, (just a small red bulb, and a beep, but still...) and bought my first computer as soon as the floppy disk came out, and built my first as soon as the components were readily available, so. Trust me, I know what I am talking about.
Newegg, remember: in any business the first and by far the most important thing is to TAKE CARE OF YOUR CUSTOMERS! Otherwise, in time, you will become nothing but a memory.

Due to shipping issues, I no longer do business with Newegg. Dealing with Newegg Customer's Service is not worth the few bucks you save. I deleted my credit card from my account on their web site. A few month later Newegg charged my credit card for Premier Membership. I tried to get a refund, but the e-mail I received says "Since you have received membership benefits on one or more items... a refund will not be issued." I have not ordered anything from Newegg in over 6 months, the effective date of my new membership is 4/12/2016, today's date. How could I have received benefits?

I purchased an Acer computer that didn't work.
Working for the military overseas, I had to pay an additional $30 for shipping THROUGH THE US MAIL.
When the product didn't work, I was responsible for paying an additional $35 to ship back.
That's $65 in shipping costs for a broken computer.
What a scam. After over 9 years of being a steady customer, I'm done.
I can't believe that I'm saying that Tiger Direct has better customer service.

When I first started working on computers, bought some things from them, they had pretty fast service, and their prices maybe a lttle cheaper than stapples, if you couldn't get what you wanted at one, you could get it at the other
I purchased a refurbished macbook pro, plus the warranty, which came to over 1000. 00. I have had to send it back to them or there warranty provider five times. They refuse to let me have a refund or store credit. Nightmare company. Do not buy anything from them.

Answer: The reason why i gave a bad review was because i ordered a phone for my wife, An I-phone 5 and NewEgg.com only sent a box with the manual and a charger for the phone. I called NewEgg.com and explained to them and they stated i needed to wait while they investigate, they never got back to me so i called them again. The person i talked to put me on hold then came back to me and stated she was checking this what was going on and kept putting me on hold for a total of 45 minutes to only come back and tell me that i need to send them a picture of the box and contents. I have no clue what my wife or children did with the box now i am screwed. 219.00 down the drain. This was the first and last purchase i will make until the get this straight.
