Newegg has variety of computers and parts also. As my laptop has become old, I wanted an external HDD to backup my data on that, so that anytime if I change it or not but my data become safe. Searched and found number of options for HDD but finally had to pick from 2. They are providing good information about the product that even non technical person can understand. Everything went cool but I had to wait for somewhat longer for delivery. But all in all, the overall experience is good.

I have used Newegg in the past, and had a decent experience. But I just recently went to their site, intending to make a purchase, and discovered that somehow they had associated my email address with someone else's account, and this other person has a chargeback, so my account is suspended. I informed them of their error, but they won't do anything about it. And it's THEIR MISTAKE. To me, this is a clear indication of carelessness with customer data, and I have to wonder how many other accounts have they screwed up this way? But the worst part is their attitude about fixing the situation. So far, they haven't even admitted that there is an error.

I will be taking my business elsewhere, thank you very much.

A hacker ordered stuff from my new egg account. I was able to act quickly and cancel all items except a 99 cents gaming code. New Egg would not refund. Instead they want me to go to my bank which would result in my credit card being reissued. This is a huge unnecessary hassle given that my credit card info was not exposed. This just shows how petty and small minded New Egg is. They don't care about their customers and everything is your problem. Suffice it to say they have forever lost a customer over 99 cents. New Egg should really think about using more of Amazon's customer service practices if they want to build their business. Trust and perception are everything online. So lame to throw that away.

My first order date was on 8/11/2005 when I was a ripe age of 16 when I built my first computer. Back then Newegg was the go-to place for tech hardware. Since then Newegg has started selling all sorts of tech and I've stuck with them for the most part, with a few hiccups here and there with customer service. In fact, the Newegg customer service used to be the standard in my eyes. I've since found myself going with Amazon for computer parts (just spent $400 this week) more and more, as I've started to lose faith in Newegg. In the past 3-4 years been screwed on Newegg refurbished products, rebates, and just general purchases.

My most recent order was on 6/28/16, which had a rush processing with 3-day shipping. While they disclaim that there is no guarantee that the rush processing will work (then why sell it for 3 bucks?) that it should ship out on the same day. The very next day an alert goes up claiming from 6/29 - 7/1 they are doing inventory and we shouldn't expect our orders to go out. I contacted customer service inquiring why my product hadn't shipped by 7/1 and I get boiler plate apologies and garbage excuses. I was PROMISED that my item would ship on 7/1. I have since been told that my item wont ship now until 7/5 and wont receive my item until 7/8.

I've considering canceling the order but I actually have a client who needed this yesterday, I suppose I will keep it for myself now or as a Christmas present. This will be my last Newegg purchase. I'd rather have the reliability of Amazon that will back their word then useless fake apologies of Newegg customer service.

Also they laughably offered me a $5 dollar gift card for my troubles. It's not about money, its about principal. Not to mention right as I try to cancel they mark it as Shipped so I have to resend them back the item for refund.

Newegg has some good deals can be a good website. But the moment you need them or they let you down your on your own. Everytime from items mis-listed, mis-shipped, doesnt matter newegg will blame you. RMA is near impossible half the time, always a restriction or some reason for them to refuse. Their rebates almost never work, out of 100 rebates ive had maybe 30 work. Ive been a customer for 10 years and always chalked it up as whatever. But now its just gotten to the point its so bad i cant even trust them anymore as a consumer. So with that in 10 years ive lost countless times. Ive experienced a dozen or so items i ended up stuck with that were DOA or defective. Im glad not everyone has had my experience cause i wouldnt wish my 10 years of being a consumer at newegg on another living soul.

Edit: also after all my posts newegg tries to get you to remove your reviews. When technically under the law they sold me a defective product which they refuse to return. I was deceived by their product cause it was intentionally listed as something it wasnt. This is very common with newegg. I'm sure Fred Chang himself tells his 2,600 employees everyday to rip off as many people as possible, or at least one must assume that when everything you read says someone else got ripped off. We already know newegg employees and "geeks" who answer chats write false reviews. So any 5 star review I'd never trust. I've done the math and in 10 years newegg has defrauded me on $4,183.42 that's what newegg felt it was worth and my number I paid out before I realized I shouldn't be defrauded by newegg anymore. What they are doing reminds me of the reason tiger direct, 4 my rebates and their parent company systemax ended up in lawsuit by the Florida attorney general. Newegg seems to think since the justice department slapped them on the wrist. They can defraud and scam because the punishment they will get is neXT to nothing. I say to anyone who hasn't been defrauded, scammed, or just plain scammed by newegg. You've either not made any purchases or you just didn't notice or care enough.

I ordered a SSD hard drive early on Wednesday July 29th way before their cutoff time for same day order processing. I use Shop Runner which is 2 day shipping. Friday rolled around and I still did not get a shipping notification but I did get a notice that their New Jersey location was doing inventory and the drive would be shipped that day. If they had put a notice about the inventory and delayed shipping I never would have ordered the item. I didn't get a shipping notice until early July 5th and according to the tracking number I am not getting the item until Thursday which is too late. When I informed my customer of the delay they cancelled the upgrade so now I am out the money I would have made and now I will have a hard drive that I may or may not sell in the near future. It is not 2 day shipping, it's more like 7 day shipping and I have lost a very irate customer. Newegg said that they were going to refund the shipping cost but that will be a good trick since it was free 2 day shipping. I am a member of Amazon Prime and I would have had the drive by last Friday or Saturday at the latest guaranteed. Amazon's prices are just a good as Newegg and they don't screw up shipping. I don't know what I was thinking ordering from Newegg but that will be my last order with them.

I needed this computer by 6/25/16 but they lost my "Rushed" order so i reordered it and when i received one item it was damaged and they replaced it no problem even tho i costed me days of lost business. Now my main problem is that i order $140 widows 7 professional cd and it never came with the product key as they claim it should've on the envelope. They told me it could be inside the box and it wasn't at all. I had to go out and buy another windows 7 because i have clients who need blueprints done at a certain time, This is the real world and there are deadlines that have to be met. I ordered this computer about 1-2 weeks ago and i still haven't been able to use it because they sent me an Operating System cd without the product key rendering the item completely useless. They refuse to give me a refund on the item when this is 100% their fault i had absolutely no involvement in this error and yet it's suppose to come out of my pocket? Its supposed to harm my business and the business of my clients? They dont seem to understand that this isn't a personal computer for leisure time its an engineering's computer for AutoCad which could be used for government jobs. The computer now works because i had to go out and buy a whole nother set of windows 7 just so i could start working. This is completely unacceptable and im at a lost for words! I can't believe a "trusted" and well known website like newegg can't take care of their customers when the fault is solely on them. I spent close to $5000 on this computer and they can't even help me out when they messed up? This is the last time they'll be receiving my money

I purchased parts for my new computer this past week and only received 1 of the three parts expected. When I called, I was told that my order was canceled because I used the word "Unit" instead of a "#" sign when identifying the location of my condo (something that I have done numerous times and have never before had an order rejected). In the two days between the cancellation and the order, the price had changed and they refused to honor the original price, letting me know that they could only offer a courtesy rebate. The rebate was a fraction of the amount I would have saved with my original order and would have required me to call back in, spending another 40 minutes on hold to receive. I opted to spend the additional $20 with a competitor, costing them a $400 sale. I won't be using newegg again. There are plenty of places to by quality parts.

I purchased 2 items paid for 3 day shipping - one took, 7 days, they other has not even arrived 10 days later. I tried all weekend to get CS on the Customer service chat, and no one would answer, Monday, finally got someone - and they wanted to give me a "gift card" - Well if i wanted free shipping i would of checked that box and the 2 items would be here by now. NO I paid for a service i did not receive, the refund regardless how small i wanted back on the type of payment i used.
Think - if they did this to every one they service, pennies add up these people are making a killing - but not on me. When i pay cash, I DO NOT WANT A GIFT CARD THAT EXPIRES - LET A LONE A GIFT CARD - I WANT MY MONEY BACK!

Newegg did OK, shipped item as promised, but I had problems tracking my order. Since I didn't register and check out I checked out as a guest. When I returned to the site to check on the whereabouts of my purchase there was no information. I then registered and still no information. Needless to say I contacted customer service attempting to get a tracking number, but the item arrived before I could get the tracking number. My fault, their fault, anybody's fault, who knows I am just happy I received my order, quickly I might add.

I bought a Dell PC from this website last black friday. It is really cheap, about $50 than usual. It is lucky that i added it in my basket before and finally got it. It is cheap but ran well. WIll buy other electronic products later. Good company.

I purchased multiple orders bundled together from different merchants on the Newegg site.

In the purchasing process it listed 8 days as the expected shipping time for all three orders, however one merchant informed me that I may not receive the merchandise for 4 weeks. This was unacceptable because I wouldn't receive the items before my conference. I was able to cancel the order and receive and immediate refund.

The best way to judge a company is not when things go right but when things go wrong. They handled my complaint quickly and respectfully.

My family buys all electronics from Newegg. Takes a bit to get your credit card going with them but once you do, you'll get the best equipment at the best prices. And, they even have a few never before seen jewelry pieces for Mom for Christmas. Great site! Easy to compare products and LEARN!
