Register.com is the worst domain name registrar I've ever experienced. The service is unreliable, their customer service is outright horrendous and their tech support is incompetent, understaffed or both.

I had the displeasure of trying to resolve a DNS propagation issue with Register.com. Every customer service representative I spoke to had different excuses and details. They constantly misled us about the progress of resolution and kept back the timeframe. No details were ever explained, Customer Service continually provided vague explanations such as "This has been escalated to Senior Admin." When I asked to speak to a manager I was treated with hostility. The DNS propagation was was supposed to be resolved in 24-48 hours. As of this review it is 120 hours. Our business got to a point where we had to transfer our domain name registrar. At that point they stopped work completely.

Regarding the transfer of our domain name registrar, ICANN standards are 5-7 business days. Register.com Customer Service team told me that our domain would be released in 7-10 days, a clear violation of standards.

I purchased a domain name on Sunday. As of Thursday, I still do not have the domain, but the money for the product has been paid. To get help, you can only chat with someone. When I reached out for help, the chat person (AI?) basically told me that I had to wait another 24 hours before someone could help me and answer via email, even though I could not email anyone. As of this moment, I have to figure out why I am having issues. Why do I not have access to a product that was paid for? Without talking to a live person.

The website is not user friendly. It can be clunky to find what is needed.

I like the fact that i dont have to wait 90 days to transfer the domain

I am unable to verify domain and i purchased the google account services provided and un able to do so, I also tried contacting the 800 number and i keep gettng hung up on

I bought a domain but apparently I have two. The second one was on auto-renew. A bit of a scam you have going here.

Web.com made a typo on my email address. Now they want me to provide a notarized statement, id and a utility bill to change their mistake. This is terrible customer service! Just fix your mistake and don't waste my time!

This site was literally created by junior devs. Theres absolutely no multifunctional properties or videos online about it. All the references are horrible in the help section along with the customer service. I would never make a website for myself on this site. Thankfullly I'm a dev for someone else. Get the framework right and then work down from there

The site isn't user friendly and just directs me to pay more money. I'd be more likely to pay money down the road if it were more user friendly with regard to what I've already purchased..

I could not get the EPP transfer code. I could not get to the edit security answer page because the chat window hid my accerss

Transferring domain and creating website is not easy. Help links still not helpful

The Representative was very pleasant and courteous and completed the complex task.
