I have thoroughly enjoyed the process that NACA has allowed me to participate in. From the start, my counselor, lets call her Nijah, explained exactly what the information I provided meant and what I needed to have completed. The steps were not hard. The process requested me to do some work but the thought of being in position to have my home for me and my daughter, no down payment, no other fees, when other companies didn't even seem interested in helping me. I am very happy thus far and looking to the final outcome when I turn the key to my own front door! - Frank
I love the NACA program. It gives people a chance to own a home that wouldn't ordinarily be able to qualify. The program prepares and get you ready for homeownership.
I been working with the Newark NJ NACA office to purchase my first home. Great program, some communication issues, time consuming but very informative some restrictions and processes that are not used by traditional mortgage companies. So far it's been a good or learning process and finally I have a great counselor working with me.
I'm currently going the Naca process. I've heard great things about NACA they offered No PMI, No Downpayment, No Closing costs, your interest rate can be below the market rate and you can buydown your interest rate. If you would more information sign up for the homebuyer workshop by going to naca.com and signing up!

I joined NACA in July 2021. My first Workshop was 7/30/21. My Intake session isn't until November (I know right?!). Actually, that is kind of quick considering I've heard members appointments are much further out. I do believe it depends on how you initially set up your appointment and location. Schedule online or via telephone (which I personally think gives you a sooner appt). Anyhow, in the uploading stage... which is a DOOZY. I mean, they want to know your monthly budget from current rent down to how much gum you purchase monthly lol. The only Review I have at this point is PATIENCE IS NEEDED. If you are in a rush to purchase this process probably isn't for you. Everyone's process is different and depending on your city, you might not have the best experience with Mortgage Counselors due to lack of staffing. Even in this stage of the process, for me... NACA is the best.
In the processing phase of buyingahome. Its a lot you have to go through. Should be worth it at the end
Started off excellent. I sent documents to my housing counselor. They were blurry. Made an in-person appointment for her "help". She vanished. Later, I was told by her she was out of the office. I wanted to make another appointment however, I was told I could not because I had not downloaded documents. I emailed the housing counselor for another in person appointment for her "help", did you get any of my documents, emails, calls. So, Yes I did. I went her office for her"help". That woman came around the corner in a stance like she was going to kick my axx. I wanted to apologize to her. She yelled at me. @naca.com>

So my web-file says I am Home Purchase Ready... How do I get a NACA realtor. I have been at this since March of this year. By the way. I guess this is my answer to her surveys that she sends me. I do not need the added stress in this process.

Generally I like how NACA supports people to become home owners. As NACA member, I met my counselor twice. She is very knowledgable and helpful in all requirements that needed for a NACA to become a homeowner. The process is still going on and I hope it will finalize soon.
Soy compradora por primera vez y estoy muy emocionada por que estoy a un paso de ser calificado por Naca, mi proseso ha sido bueno asta ahora y eso gracias a la ayuda de nuestro consejero el Sr Antonio.

NACA is an awesome program. I started the program a few months ago. My counselor is the best! She is knowledgeable and patient. I am so excited about the process and the opportunity to purchase my new home!
Naca has given my family and I the opportunity to become first time homeowners. This is a wonderful feeling.
My workshop orientation was very easy to follow and the instructor made sure we all understood the process. I met with my counselor via zoom and she is very informative and answered every question I had concerning documents I will need to submit.
The NACA program has truly been a great experience. The program has helped guide me with managing my finances and preparing me for home ownership. The counselors are knowledgeable, polite, and direct. I strongly recommend everyone to take a look into NACA. You won't regret it!
NACA has made our home buying process so easy, I would encourage anyone who is looking to buy a house to join NACA! Our counselor Christina is so helpful.
You have to trust the process, hold yourself accountable & self advocate and you'll be well on your way to home ownership. A few bumps in the road to get qualified but the experience has been worth it.
I started the process in June 2020 and initially got overwhelmed. Once I discovered the forums and reviewed the workbook, things came together.
NACA is a great program. So far my wife and I have a great experience. We had our first intake 2 weeks ago, it went very well just a couple things to upload then we will be ready to submit for qualification. We have one of the best counselor, his name is Benard Obichie from Buffalo NY he did a good job and answered to our questions and he also responded to email.
I recommend everyone to try NACA because this is a great program with no down payment, no closing cost, no consideration for credit score.

This program is meant for people who have the initiative to stick with it. You get ehat you put into it and you must be ready to advocate for yourself. I am so happy that I found this program and it provides so many opportunities to individuals that cannot go the conventional home ownership route. Special shout out to Ms. Brenda who is the best counselor that NACA has.
I really enjoy the presentation for the workshop. The presenter was very knowledgeable and helpful! I look forward to start the beginning process!
Sincerely,
Tiffany S.

Answer: I decided to go with NACA because they don't consider your credit score and the counselors work with you to become qualified. NACA has made me more diligent with saving money by not spending on wants but needs. This method has strengthen my assets considerably. Also, because you have to volunteer your services as you see fit at least 5x a year which is great because you are giving back to the community. DEE in Far Rockaway
