I have used a few products and many were too complex. MyTaxPrep provides backgroud on each line item to ensure proper recording. The final check also catches mismatches in the lines that relate. Invoices for clients are not great and they close when filed, so payment cannot be recorded. Also doesn't do electronic connections well so my clients decide not to use it.

I have been using the MyPrepOffice for 5+ years now and I have seen continued overall improvement in the accuracy and linking of the software year after year. My practice continues to expand and I will be testing the software with more complex tax filings in the future. With the continued improvements I have experienced over the past 5 years, I expect the software will be able to meet or exceed my expectations.

The Help Desk is as good as it can get as the representatives are always helpful and great to work with.
As with any tax software, never rely on the software for complex issues without verifying the accuracy. Always double check the accuracy of the data being calculated in the software, esp. Multi state tax filings. Federal and State taxation is vast and always changing and I have found that no software is 100% accurate. If such inaccuracies exist (which on occasion they have within this tax software), the help desk will usually be able to promptly resolve them.
Lastly, I believe the pricing for this web based tax software is very competitive.
In summary, I can recommend MyTaxPrepOffice Software for tax returns that are low to medium in complexity. I honestly cannot comment on the more complex tax returns as I have not prepared such tax returns in this tax software to date.

I have used My Tax Prep Office since 2014. They have always provided great software program and great pricing. If I had a question or problem they were quick to resolve or answer my question. I will continue using this software

I spoke with 2 different representatives, one in customer service and the other in IT support. They both were very familiar with their jobs, kind, patient, knowledgable and helpful. I have purchased mutilple software options the past 3 years and I must say that between the customer service and the software, I think I have found a home!

My Tax Prep office does not keep track of your add on fees. Check them twice prior to accepting. Even though they work directly with the banks they still take a lengthy time to verify (from my experience) I can never speak with a supervisor. I have had a ticket submitted since 11/01/2023 and still not resolved no follow up call or anything. Currently requesting for a refund because I nolonger trust them.

I contacted the site support and was disconnected 3 times before I was turned over to David Martinez. I was trying to complete a 1040X for 2021. Nothing was updating. David calmed me down and took over the return making the changes that were necessary for the return to work correctly. I told David to tell his boss that additional training is needed when we call for an amendment. It took David 1 plus hrs to repair what was not working. He was very informative all the way through his repair of the return. If you want a tech that will walk you through the process correctly then you need David Martinez.

Tax year ended 12/31/22 I moved from Intuit Pro Series to My Tax Prep. Change is not always easy, but this conversion with the assist from their technical support team was manageable. A Success!
