So I spend an hour trying to make my resume because they claim they are free. Then i go to print just to find out it forces people into a subscription for a year when all you want is ONLY one resume. This site is $#*! and not getting my money. Now i have to rewrite the whole $#*!ing thing. If you just tell people its not free in the first place they wont waste their time. This site needs to fix their misleading advertising or be taken down.

I had the same experience as Emily! I cancelled my 14-day subscription the same day and they just charged me for an entire year! They do not send confirmation emails for cancellation of the short and cheap options so that you cannot prove you cancelled it! And they do not send you an email about renewing your subscription.
This is a huge scam! They charge your credit card but pretend you never cancelled in the first place. Why would I buy 14-days AND THEN PAY FOR A YEAR ON TOP OF THAT?
Find another service for your resumes unless you want to be constantly writing to get confirmation for your cancellation or have your credit card charged for a service you don't want.

Do not use site, I was fine paying £1.99 however I canceled same day via live chat and was told I would no longer be charged monthly. I was charged £23.80 so I rang and was told there was nothing they could do because there is no indication to show I canceled! Absolute scam and would not recommend to anyone

Anyone wanting to present a resume wants it to look right - its the attention to detail that matters so much. I have had several major problems where line spacing is not uniform - one paragraph has one setting, and then another has another - looks untidy and wrong.
Asked for help using chat function, but advice given didn't help, and just when you would explect them to pick it up and fix it, they don't seem to care. I RECOMMEND USING ANOTHER SITE.

After a series of serious health setbacks, I lost my job two months ago. I stumbled across MyPerfectResume whilst trying to find templates for a resume as I'd lost my hard copy in a move earlier this year. I was immediately drawn in by the link that promised a 'free resume builder' that included 'hundreds of templates'. This was a godsend, as I have several outstanding medical bills that I can't afford, and no luck in my attempt to transfer jobs (as I no longer have a resume). Learnt the hard way that it was a CON.
As soon as I'd finished my template (after six hours of writing), I tried to have it printed. Apparently, the only FREE thing about this site is selecting one of only fifteen templates, and then wasting hours of FREE time writing up all of your information, only to have to pay $2.74AUD (different to what I was actually billed - $4.14AUD) to email/print your FREE resume. What a joke. Regardless, I put so much effort into it and needed a job ASAP, so I gave my debit details for that supposed '$2.74' transaction, printed my resume, and that was that.
Fast forward to today, and I went to pay my off my phone bill, only to realise I'd been fobbed $52.60AUD from the same MyPerfectResume account! Furious and dumbfounded, I did some digging. According to the website, upon providing my details I'd automatically made a 'subscription' with an auto-renewing billing feature that charges me monthly for having a resume with their site! Not only had I not received any notification/confirmation email, but I did not get a receipt for the automatic withdrawal, either. SHADY! The only way I knew something was going on was because my phone provider rejected my payment as there wasn't enough money in my account to pay my bill!
I just hope to dear god that cancelling my 'subscription' will be enough to stop these scammers - but I am extremely furious and I want my money back! Do not click on this website if you don't want headache, holes in your back pocket and still not have a job to show for it!

It is not free at all. Typed it up nice and neat. Got to the end and had to pay $1.95 for 14 day preview... cancel at any time. Called my credit card company as was charged $ 1.95 plus $101.13 had to cancel my credit card immediately! Please do not use this site.

Answer: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I am a very organized person who worked for the state that I reside in as an investigator. I had an injury and had to make a change in my career. I am very careful about getting pulled into scams, however, I felt that this would be a good opportunity to build a resume and cover letter that was more updated than when my original resume that I wrote years ago. First of all, the templates are not free. After spending a long period of time writing the perfect resume, I only had the option of spending $2.99 to have access to the resume/cover letter. I felt that was a reasonable fee for the use of the template. As I stated, I am very organized and manage my finances very well. I made sure that I went into my account and cancelled by subscription after 5 days of use so that I would not be charged the $29.99 for the month. Today, I checked my checking account and sure enough the $29.99 had been deducted. I immediately called customer service and they stated that my cancellation had not gone through and they had no notification of my cancellation. They were willing to give me back only $14.00 of my $29.99 back and then went on trying to sell me more offers. I was extremely angry and then spoke with a supervisor. He also argued that I had not cancelled. I went through the same steps to cancel my account while the supervisor was on the phone with me. Low and behold the cancellation went through! Obviously, this company has set up the cancellation process to fail and you will be charged the $29.00 anyway. I definitely learned my lesson! I had to threaten to have my attorney to get involved due to this company stealing money from my account before they agreed to reimburse my full $29.00. They could not give me a refund confirmation number for the remaining reimbursement. I as a Social Worker who advocate for people could not conscientiously could not write a review to warn people of this scam.
