Used the service once, received the CV and was so dissappointed I went off and created something better in MS Word in half the time... then came the REAL pain, charged 23.80 for using it despite having called and cancelled THEN charged 23.80 again the next month... RIP OFF

Complete and utter scam - still trying to get them to stop debiting funds. Misleading from the very start, which my plain language below is not.

DO NOT AUTO-RENEW - CANCEL SUBSCRIPTION!

Please confirm that this never wanted subscription is cancelled and will NOT auto renew in 2016. An email in March 2015 was sent advising I had not wished to auto renew that year, and I definitely do NOT wish to again. (Reference Number LTK*******268X). Please respond and confirm my Visa will NOT be debited again.

I went to the websites because I needed a great layout for my resume... BELIEVE ME WHEN I SAY THIS... IT IS A SCAM DONT TRUST THIS WEBSITE... I RESQUESTED THE SUBSCRIPTION TO BE $3.00 THEY BILL ME $38.95... I CALLED THEM AND TOLD ME IT A LOW CHANCE TO REFUND MY MONEY BACK... I TOLD THEM IF I WANTED THE $38.95 I WOULDVE REQUESTED IT... This company is a CON. No where did I agree for them to take out £23.80 from my account! Scamming bastards! This company is a load of $#*!, they advertise themselves as FREE when you have to pay for the cv template at the end and then once they've got your details they take more money out and say you agreed to it! Do not use this website!

I needed to send my resume to someone and I needed to do it fast so I put all of my info in and printed ONE copy of a ONE page resume. I agreed to pay a small ONE TIME fee to access this service. This morning I find a 35.80 charge on my debit card that I never authorized! Why would anyone pay this? Now they can't guarantee they will credit it back. I am not even looking for a job I have had the same job for 30 years, I HAVEN't needed a resume since college. I am so sorry I ever got involved with this company-DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CC INFORMATION.

I didn't agree to $35.80 subscription fee. Why would I? Once resume is completed, why would I need services again? I did call and cancel "subscription" but wasn't able to have my money returned. I guess that's the scheme. They at get $35 from God knows how many unsuspecting victims and don't really care if the subscription continues because they're getting someone else's money to cover their loss of your money. Scam.

Update: The company responded with reasons why the membership is necessary. I say this: We pay to be able to upload our resumes. Once it's in a file on my computer, I can update it there. I don't need a website to store my resume so that I may go back to it when I need to update it.

I was in need of help with creating a resume when I found this site, it made a great resume then it said I had to pay $3, which I was okay with. I happily paid it and used their services once. Then about 3 weeks later my bank account showed they charged me an additional $35, I am a college student and don't have much money so I was pretty upset. I called and the customer service was rude and unhelpful... They refuse to give me my money back. So I would say do not use this site... They are scammers who only care about making money and could careless about their customers.
0/10, would not recommend.

These guys advertise themselves as "Build Your Perfect Resume for Free!". Sounds great!
I've spent an hour creating my resume on this site and was disappointed when I saw in the end that you can`t do anything with it without paying them money. Maybe it`s ok to pay, I don't mind, but it looked really dodgy that they don't have a paypal payment option. I decided to Google them and found out that these guys are not only lying in their advertisement but also cheating with payments and cancellations! I`m really disappointed as I have wasted my time. Now I cant do anything with the resume, just print screen... Very sad, but these bastards will not get my money!

***HOW TO BEAT THEM AT THEIR OWN GAME!*** If you cancel within the 1st hour at the VERY most - as per their terms in order to NOT be CHARGED for the first full 4 weeks. After going through a little process which YOU SHOULD DO AS WELL, you will get a cancellation number, MULTIPLE offers, and BEST OF ALL you can continue to use the service for the quoted "14 day trial". It still allows me to login, edit, download, etc. I FIRST sent them a CANCELLATION EMAIL (which included ALL the various confirmation, account, ect. Information they had sent me. I stated that "I no longer wish to continue their services for_(AMOUNT)_" And also said "This is my final cancellation notice."... I then returned to the website. SECOND went to MY ACCOUNT - then to SETTINGS - then to CANCEL SUBSCRIPTION (located at the bottom of the page.) Then got offered to keep the service for 30 days for the $2.95 and then be billed at the end of the month the full amount. OR pay a "one-time fee of $8.95 for..."... OR just to continue to cancellation... I believe that's how it went... Either way, when I received the cancellation confirmation email, it said that my subscription was set to expire on the 14 day mark! BOOM still can use all the features and the email said "I will NOT be charged ANY other fees."

To cancel the subscription it will be sufficient to use only one of the option that we have (phone, email, chat, self-cancellation). We offer a 14 days access for an initial amount which can be cancel at any time. So if a client decide to use the service only for the 14 days access he can cancel the subscription within those 14 days and the auto renewal of the account will not complete. Cancellation will stop any future charges and still get you the 14 days access that the client bought.

This business is a completely fraudulent scam! You first come to the site- it looks nice, professional, and offers free resume building. You're in need of a new resume, and for free? This seems way too good to be true! That is because it is. After you spend an annoyingly enormous amount of time getting your resume perfect, and filling in all the information, you are faced with the first problem: You have to pay to download it and print. What they don't tell you is that sure, it is free to MAKE the resume, but if you want to actually USE it, you have to pay around three dollars for their services. Then, for a two week trial if you have to change your resume for any reason, it is another three dollars. What they also don't tell you is that when you don't cancel exactly after the two weeks, your account is charged FORTY DOLLARS for a monthly subscription. I cannot express how upset I am, and how terribly horrendous their customer service is. I only realized this after looking at my bank statement online two days after I missed the 'auto-renew date'. I spent so much time on the phone, emailing, and instant messaging their staff telling them of my terrible problem. The representative on the phone LAUGHED at me, when he read the instant messages between me and another rep requesting my forty dollars back. He sent a ticket to the billing department just for them to tell me they are unable to give me my money back. If this site was a valuable site, they would've refunded me after TWO DAYS, especially because I had not been active on their site ever since I 'bought' the two week trial. I remember my mother had this problem with Amazon Prime, she did the free trial run and missed the 'end date', however, a few days after when she noticed Amazon billed her 99 dollars, she called Amazon and they refunded her immediately for the inconvenience. I am now trying my hardest to go through my bank and report this charge as fraud, because I DID NOT AUTHORIZE THIS CHARGE. So, hopefully, I will be getting my money back. Please, for the love of all that is holy, do NOT use this site! Make your resume on your own!

P.S. I can't wait for the My Perfect Resume representative to reply to this review somehow excusing their 'so-called business' actions. After reading all the reviews before me, there is no way that someone could possibly apologize for all the strain they have placed onto people; you do not screw with people's finances. I hope someone takes this company to court, they need to be shut down as soon as possible.

RUN, RUN AWAY FAST!

I wish I had read all of these reviews before using MyPerfectResume(Not). They repeatedly charged my card and when I tried to cancel by logging in a page came up saying that the page had been removed or deleted. Took me forever to finally cancel it. And they refused to refund my money. Stay away!

Avoid this website

While the templates for resumes are professional looking, the site is not! They should tell you upfront what the costs will be to use their templates. I worked for hours perfecting my resume on their template. I got it just the way I wanted it. Only when I tried to save it or print it did the site reveal that I HAD TO PAY to do so!
I gave one star only because you have to have atleast one, it says STAY AWAY!

I got the run around and then charged the $39.99 I finally got a hold of them just to hear we will send you an email regarding your issue! Like really why can't you help me over the phone!

What a scam!

This website is a joke. They are very h clear about the fact that if you don't opt out after the initial trial you will be charged $50. I was charged the full amount and NEVER received a product. When I went to customer service, they refused to give me my resume OR refund my money. I am a student and this comes from student loans, and they are a massive company. Such a disappointment, I sincerely hope no one goes through what I did with them.

I would never recomend this company they are very unprofessional and will not listen to requests for termination. In all honestly you have a better bet at making your own you built its not worth the hassle that's been dragged on. Maybe one day they will realize they are an unprofessional company who violated the advertisement I could terminate through a simple email... That's far from true I'm still trying to end mine and signed no contract to continue to use also they won't team erase me like they promised they are a joke

FINE. We paid the initial $2.95 fee to use the template. Once we realized that this company does their UNETHICAL SCAM AUTO RENEWALS, we tried to cancel. We tried the on line method that this lying Anna B. Service rep in every post response says. It did not work. So we tried email and they tells us to call them to cancel. We call, and it says to email. They will not give us a cancelation number so they can keep running this SCAM. Our credit card has now been CANCELED all because of THIS UNETHICAL PIECE OF CRAP COMPANY. Anna B. Or whoever the customer service rep is that will be responding, please save us your CORPORATE LIES and I hope your company gets investigated for fraud. We will now be reporting you to every single BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU that we can. Congrats on preying on and stealing from hard working CITIZENS who are trying to find an honest job but get tricked by the DISHONEST AND CORRUPT COMPANY CALLED MYPERFECTRESUME.

Do NOT use them

My husband never signed up for this service and the got a copy of our information, they have been charging his credit card for over a year without us knowing as all the money was paid off and my husband thought he had cancelled the card. They refused to refund the money and his bank won't do anything for him. Evil company, they are fraud and used my husband credit card without our knowledge

The client go into our web page and create a resume with our builder, at the end the client can download the final result in a plain text format for free but if the client desire to use our templates, designs and modern formats they need to subscribe for our service. Client input the credit/debit card information and need to agree to the terms and conditions of the same to be able to have full access. We offer a 14 days full access for an initial fee and we indicate that if the cancellation is not process within the 14 days it will auto enroll into the monthly access to not interrupt the service. We offer several ways to cancel including by phone, live chat, email and self-cancellation in your Account Settings.
