Yes, it clearly states that I would be billed monthly. I made my "free resume, but decided to try for a month with the option that I could cancel ANYTIME! I received a grant to do Medical Billing and decide to end my search for now. I cancelled my subscription after two weeks since I no longer was going to use it. Today, I was billed again. As a single mom, I account for every penny. 35.00 of my food budget has been taken away from my two girls and me! I am not sure how I am going to make that up, but I am very, very upset! I cancelled but you still billed me. I cancelled 15 days before the billing cycle, no less! It clearly states this is reoccurring, but it also states YOU CAN CANCEL AT ANYTIME! You stole from a single mom and her two children!

The way the site is set up gives you no real indication of what the REAL COSTS are. The first debit payment I assumed it was a one off, only to find a monthly charge. Spoke to someone about cancelling and was told they would do so... after one more raid of my account. Made sure I copied the whole conversation just in case.

After signing up for this service, I noticed a charge of 35.80 a few days later. I was under the impression this was a free service. Regardless I called on 1/28 to cancel my membership. I was told in seven days it would automatically charge the 35.80 from the first day the membership was active. Very deceiving. So again I cancelled my membership. Today I got another charge of 35.80 and when I called today they have no record of my first call to cancel. I told them their calls are recorded so they should be able to pull the call. Not getting off that easy! Compete fraud! I'm contacting the Better Business Bureau and let this be a warning to anyone looking to use this horrible service!

After spending an hour building my "Free" resume - I get to the end and what do you know it's $3.95 to keep and then a high monthly cost for subscription. I stupidly paid the $3.95 as I was desperate for the resume at the time. I emailed them straight away to let them know that I would not be wanting to continue with the subscription & it was a one off I needed. Well I Never got a reply but I figured that it was sorted as no more money was debited apart from the initial $3.95. Two months later and I just got charged $53 from these SCAM ARTISTS! I can't get a hold of anyone. I have not had ANY CONTACT EVER FROM THESE PEOPLE or been sent an invoice to state what this amount was for! Really pissed! Have canceled my card - something I shoulc have done straight after! So yeah Beware of these scammers!

Spent 2 hours on what was advertised as free, found out there was a small fee. Paid the fee and emailed to cancel as soon as I printed off my CV. Still taking money out of my account, I've emailed them 12 times to No response and the phone number is a dead line. FAKE FAKE FAKE! Don't bother they just want to STEAL your money. All the reviews say the same thing. I've had to get my bank to block the payments and complained to trading standards.

UPDATE: After writing this review, the site did contact me and maintained a business-polite manner. They had agreed to refund three of the 16 months they had been charging my account. When I countered, they didn't respond to my email. They did send me the legal talk about the continuing monthly transactions paired with a screenshot of the site. The screenshot was from 2015; my account was created in 2014. I mentioned that in the same counter email. Still no response. While I do believe that I should pay for the 14 day trial service (that I only used for one day and quit), I think more than a three month refund is in order.
I joined the site 16 months ago, and agreed to pay a one-time fee to create a resume. Upon review of my financial records, my accountant notices that this company has continued to charge me $35 or $36 each month. I messaged the company several weeks ago. I am still waiting for a response.

You have been warned. Stay away from this so called free resume builder. This site is a scam. They don't tell you cost til you spent time building your resume. Then at end they ask you to pay for your resume after you were told it would be free. So I said screw it I paid the special price of 2.95 and went on my way. Well almost a month later. I check my bank account and it says the withdrew $35. So I called my perfect resume and was told that it was for a recurring billing cycle. I said I never signed up for that. They then told me oh well it's on the site that it says it's a monthly subscription. I said no it isn't because if that was the case I either would never used the resume service or canceled subscription right away. The customer service rep I spoke with said well I will put in for refund request and would be contacted via email within couple days. Well I never received email or phone call from customer service. I called back yesterday and spoke to customer service again. Was told my request for refund was refused and wouldn't tell me why. The rep put in another request for refund and I'm not holding my breath for a response. My advice to anyone who needs a resume either find a site that gives the price and any terms upfront or go to a bestbuy or something of that sorts to buy the cd program. Screw myperfectresume.com

I would never again use this site nor would I recommend it to anyone else. It is just another way to scam someone out of their hard earned money. The said thing is that most of the people using it are unemployed and looking for a job and you end up with someone gouging what little funds you do have. The amount that they charge you 35.80 monthly is way too much for the service provided. They say you can cancel and charge you for cancelling a day after they charged you, what a crock. I will also put this out on Facebook and YouTube and to anyone else who will listen. I also intend to contact the better business bureau. This has to stop. Even a dead customer was being charged now that is just the ultimate in foolishness. I really thought that the US Government has put a stop to such things

In September 2015 my 16 year old son "signed up" for this thinking it was free. When he then printed his resume he thought this was a once off fee so I provided him with my credit card details.
In November 2016 my son was murdered and I have found out that "MyRipOffResume" has been charging me USD$35.80 per month for a service he used once!
Despite numerous emails requesting they cancel the subscription I am continuing to be charged for this service.
I would never recommend this company to anyone!

I decided to have a look at the web site and created a resume then selected the print option. You then get to a page to pay $2.95 to print the resume - this is clearly visible.
However in the fine print below the heading "Need to Cancel? No Problem" there is one line that states"Unless you cancel, you authorize us to charge you every four weeks at the then current rate." This line is buried among some other text and IS NOT HIGHLIGHTED in any way to bring it to your attention. I can easily see how my son thought he was paying a one-off charge to print his one page resume.
NOWHERE on the page does it say you are subscribing to a service - in fact it clearly shows "Total Due Today $2.95" and "Get Your Resume".
NOTE the charge is every 4 weeks NOT once a month so they even try to get 13 payments a year from you rather than 12.

I am very careful about getting pulled into scams, however, I felt that this would be a good opportunity to build a resume and cover letter that was more updated than when my original resume that I wrote years ago. First of all, the templates are not free. After spending a long period of time writing the perfect resume, I only had the option of spending $2.99 to have access to the resume/cover letter. I felt that was a reasonable fee for the use of the template. As I stated, I am very organized and manage my finances very well. I made sure that I went into my account and cancelled by subscription after 5 days of use so that I would not be charged the $29.99 for the month. Today, I checked my checking account and sure enough the $29.99 had been deducted. I immediately called customer service and they stated that my cancellation had not gone through and they had no notification of my cancellation. They were willing to give me back only $14.00 of my $29.99 back and then went on trying to sell me more offers. I was extremely angry and then spoke with a supervisor. He also argued that I had not cancelled. I went through the same steps to cancel my account while the supervisor was on the phone with me. Low and behold the cancellation went through! Obviously, this company has set up the cancellation process to fail and you will be charged the $29.00 anyway. I definitely learned my lesson! I had to threaten to have my attorney to get involved due to this company stealing money from my account before they agreed to reimburse my full $29.00. They could not give me a refund confirmation number for the remaining reimbursement. I as a Social Worker who advocate for people could not conscientiously could not write a review to warn people of this scam.
