I signed up for a one off fee of 1.95 in January. Then two days ago I saw 27.79 had been taken from my account by My Perfect CV. I have contacted my bank and they in turn said they would contact the company. I have contacted them three times over the past three days and have yet to receive a reply. My next step is to contact consumer affairs to try and get there scam artists black listed. I would urge people not to use the web site. It's a scam avoid at all costs. They will raid your bank account without permission for their so called FREE service.
Unbelievable! Thieves, taking $35.80 from my account for the last 2 months. I just contacted my credit card company to dispute this ridiculous charge. Because of these clowns, I have had to close my credit card and will be issued a new number.
UPDATE! Talked to my credit card company and they stated that they have had so many similar complaints from these scam artist. They knew right away who I was talking about. The lady from my credit card company also shared that these clowns should be shut down!

THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM! I signed up and realized that I didn't want to use them anymore, after a couple days, maybe even a day and a half. I requested for the service to be canceled and it never was... then I was charged. I requested a refund AND a cancellation (after having already requested it to be canceled) and I was told it was IMPOSSIBLE? How silly is that? If you can take the money, you can most certainly refund it... then the customer service was AWFUL and RUDE! I hate poor customer service... HATE IT! I want my refund and I won't stop until I get it. Companies like this makes me feel very ill towards the next and it's not fair.

I wasn't aware the website is going to take 31 euro out of my account. I was shocked when I opened my online banking account. I am very angry about it. I sent email to costumer service and I hope somebody will take it seriously. I allowed My perfect CV to take only 3 euro about, ONCE. If i won't get money returned i amready report even to police after I found out how many people this website made upset and thinking wrong about how much they are going to pay (3 £not 35)

When i signed up to my perfect cv, i was very happy with the small first service charge. However, i was not aware MY PERFECT CV would be taking £23.80 out of my account after 14 days. I read it was a smaller charge of around £5 a month... not £23.80. I phoned the customer service team who wasnt much help at all. The person i spoke to could not tell me why i was charged 23pounds and just said he would put in a request with the refund team for me! He then said my account was open till the end of march? I said I wanted it closed now as this was clearly a con to keep my account open and refuse to give me my rightful money back. Again I was given no real explanation and was told to look out for an email. DO NOT GO THROUGH THIS COMPANY. I WISH I READ THESE REVIEWS BEFORE SIGNING UP TO THE WEBSITE! I have also since used the pages live chat window to ask where my email is? When I put in my complaint, I just received a reply telling me TO HAVE A NICE DAY! I AM absolutely LIVID!

Just noticed that they have then taken £25 pound from my account?... why?, if this is a free trial I never agreed to anything after the trail.

Awful scammers contacted my credit card company and suspended the £23.80 payment also put a block on this particular company from taking any further payments. I canceled this well within the time limit! Think I will report them to trading standards and watchdog! Need to stop these people. Preying on people building C. V's! Obviously ruthless!

I paid $2 for 14 days trial and they never told me I will be charged $35 after 14 days! I contacted them because I never used the account for one day! Trial in common sense means to try out the product and buy it later if we wish to! These guys are real scammers and when I asked for refund, what they said is no refund after trial period! This site advertises by saying "create your perfect resume for free!". So you spend half an hour creating a pretty good resume, and then when you try and save it they make you pay for it, so it is actually not free. It gets better though. It said sign up for a one month trial for only $3.00, so I figured $3.00 wasn't a big deal and I had already invested so much time making the resume I may as well pay three dollars to download it. So i put my credit card info in and got my resume and was happy with it. Then a month later they charged $50.00 to my credit card for a "membership" that I had signed up for. I tried to dispute the charges, however the dispute team is "offline" meaning you can't speak with them directly. Instead, a customer service agent who claimed his department had no authority to handle the situation created a "ticket" to the dispute team who would get back to me within a few days. I received an email a week later saying that my request for a refund has been denied because the request was put in after the billing date. That was not a satisfactory reason for me and customer service could not elaborate on the matter nor would they create another "ticket". After this i felt it to annoying to put any more effort into the matter of getting my $50.00 back so I figured I would just put this review on every reviewing website to warn other people and give them a bad rating. I mean who is really willing to pay $50.00 a month for a resume subscription? Nobody needs a new resume every month, that is just their scam to get money.

I cancelled within days of starting my trial. I have an email from three months ago confirming cancellation but on Tuesday morning £23.80 inexplicably left my bank account! I called the 0800 number and told an administration error caused the account to be "reopened" and charged. I was told the refund would be in my account within two days. Two days later and I received an email saying I wouldn't be getting a refund because my account was cancelled after the trial period was over. Wait? The account that was reopened because of an admin error?
Avoid this business like the plague. I won't rest until everyone understands the despicable practices this business engages in.

Please avoid My Perfect CV at all costs - Having recently signed up for the 14 day trial at a cost of £1.95 the service on offer is basic at best. Nothing you cannot get from standard templates readily available online. Worse still when attempting to download in Word format the templates didnt format correctly and so I had to spend 2 hours fixing the issue.
Worse still when cancelling my subscription (you are automatically signed up for a month) I was billed £23.80! I have tried to ring their helpline but have been on hold for 15 mins and have now given up.
Please avoid at all costs - Save yourself time, energy and money and go elsewhere

I bought the $99 this morning. It is pending in my bank already. Their site does not work, I cannot get the scroll downs to show me more examples. The IM chat guy knows nothing and was not helpful. He asked me for my CC information again because he said he could not find me in the system. There is absolutely NO help.

Called to cancel, my resume was lost, poof, disappeared into this air. The customer service said they would cancel and refund my money back on my credit card. I told them I had closed that account, they said no problem we will send me a check for the refund, I asked, "what address will you be sending it to"? Paid about $3 for my first resume and cover letter. But 14 days later when I had completely forgotten about the website and was well on my way with my resume and job interviews I noticed that $35-$40 from my account was missing. Who would ever want to pay year round to keep a resume making account open. It's obvious that they knew no one would willingly pay so they just take an automatic payment when people have forgotten about it.

I am updating my review since MyPerfectResume Customer Service reached out to me. Originally I was highly upset about how they took $35 out of my account when I was not even sure why this would even happen. I initially had the 14 day trial they offered and then right after it ended they took money out, I contacted them right away through Live Chat and the person told me that a refund can not be issued and basically didn't even care. I was determined to get my refund since I didn't "read" anything about how they would charge me after my free trial.
After I posted a review about how upset this all made me, MyPerfectResume customer service reached out to me and said they would only take $3 off the charge so I can have a month for $3 and then they would refund me the rest (which was around $33 dollars) back to my account. The fact that they reached out to me in such a timely manner and worked with me was great. That's all I asked for in the beginning. I feel fine about the situation now that they did take action about it.

Answer: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I am a very organized person who worked for the state that I reside in as an investigator. I had an injury and had to make a change in my career. I am very careful about getting pulled into scams, however, I felt that this would be a good opportunity to build a resume and cover letter that was more updated than when my original resume that I wrote years ago. First of all, the templates are not free. After spending a long period of time writing the perfect resume, I only had the option of spending $2.99 to have access to the resume/cover letter. I felt that was a reasonable fee for the use of the template. As I stated, I am very organized and manage my finances very well. I made sure that I went into my account and cancelled by subscription after 5 days of use so that I would not be charged the $29.99 for the month. Today, I checked my checking account and sure enough the $29.99 had been deducted. I immediately called customer service and they stated that my cancellation had not gone through and they had no notification of my cancellation. They were willing to give me back only $14.00 of my $29.99 back and then went on trying to sell me more offers. I was extremely angry and then spoke with a supervisor. He also argued that I had not cancelled. I went through the same steps to cancel my account while the supervisor was on the phone with me. Low and behold the cancellation went through! Obviously, this company has set up the cancellation process to fail and you will be charged the $29.00 anyway. I definitely learned my lesson! I had to threaten to have my attorney to get involved due to this company stealing money from my account before they agreed to reimburse my full $29.00. They could not give me a refund confirmation number for the remaining reimbursement. I as a Social Worker who advocate for people could not conscientiously could not write a review to warn people of this scam.
