They offer very $#*!ty resume services then charge you $2 if you want to download, which is fine. What they do not tell you (it's probably in very small print) that upon doing this you unwillingly sign up for a monthly charge of $35. After seeing this on your bill and not knowing they were going to charge they will not refund you. Who wants to pay $35 for very $#*!ty service. Seems like scamming people is the only way these piece of $#*! scum bags make their money. A lot of us college kids are working paycheck to paycheck and cannot afford an unexpected $35 fee. That literally takes food out of our mouths you piece of $#*!s!

This company was used by my son to download a resume for a few dollars. Our son immediately advised he was not subscribing to their program. They have now slugged us for over a hundred dollars in the past several week.

This website is a sham. I thought what happened to me was an exception but it turns out that there is an entire space on the internet dedicated to their misdeeds. I'm surprised that they're still in business, since the complaints have been coming in for years now.
I did a simple google search 'make resume online free' inquiring on creating resumes online for free and their name comes as the second search item, clearly stating the free nature in the heading. I got started with making my resume. Took me hours. When I was done, it asked me for $2.95 to print/save it. I was taken aback but since I had spent a lot of time making the resume, I paid the money. Never have I been so gullible. Today, I get my credit card transcript saying it debited $35.80 from my account. They never sent an email saying that they would deduct this kind of money from my account. The subscription I took was for a 14-day trial. Who the hell spends $35.80 on a resume every month? I immediately surfed the internet and found out that I'm not the only one. They've been doing this for quite some time now.
The worst part is, they're taking away money fraudulently from people who are looking for jobs to make money. Karma will strike them one day. As far as I'm concerned, I just want my money back. This is downright bullying by an unethical organisation.

When you do a resume on their site you may think your making a one time purchase but you are not. You will be charged a $50 on your credit card at the end of each month until you realize you have to go back to the site account and cancel your subscription. In my case they ripped off a paraplegic gentleman who lost his job. They also go under the name of LiveCareer US Stay away!

Whatever you do, do not use this company to build a resume. They are scamming hundreds of people! I had picked the one time option to build a resume which was almost 3.00$ in November only to find out that they would continue to charge me for just simply having an account with them because I have not built another resume since that one time in November. I have been getting charged up to 50.00$ bi-weekly since December. At no point did they notify me of this after making the account nor did they email me monthly to notify me that I was making these payments. To top this horrible experience off a friend had let me use their credit card because I was unable to use mine at the time. Not only is my friend upset with me for not realizing this sooner, I have to pay them back the money and make them go through the trouble of cancelling their credit card. DO NOT USE THIS CRAPPY SCAMMING COMPANY! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE ALWAYS READ REVIEWS ONLINE BEFORE PUTTING YOUR INFORMATION INTO SCUMBAG COMPANIES LIKE THIS ONE. I was contacted by My Perfect Resume representative and we managed to reach a positive solution for the issue. Even though multiple contacts were needed, they sorted it out cleanly and quickly. The quality of the CV is outstanding, and as long as you don't forget to remove your credit card, I would recommend the service.

I am unemployed. I paid a little over 2 euros just to create a CV and a motivational letter for one job offer. Unfortunately I didn't have the sense to remove my credit card.
Fast forward two weeks, account renewed and my bank statement shows they billed me for over 32 euros. I immediately cancelled the account and shot them an email letting them know what happened and asking if they would refund the 32+ euros.
Of course they would not. I literally only logged onto the service when I created the initial CV and not once after that and I refuse to believe they can't confirm that in their systems.
For a company that allegedly wants to help people find employement, they are disgustingly willing to pump as much money from the unemployed as possible.

Like everyone else I got taken also. So far $150.00 with exchange. Call credit card company and was told I had to stop subscription! I did the 2.99 also. Had this happen to me 15 years ago and thought I was screwed then too, but about 4 years later the company lost a class action lawsuit and I got just over 3/4 back

This site is run by scammer... they charged me $3 for trial and I cancelled it right away. They still kept charging me saying that request did not go through... no refund for trail as they promised on their website on top of that you will end up paying another $35 and $1 foreign transaction fee... To top it off the quality of the resume is as good as their service...
Updated 04/20/2016. I filed a grievance with my credit card company and they gave me a refund.

This is the second time I have let myself become involved with this company. All to do with cancelling subscriptions! You get to the end of the resume ( which takes hours!) only to fi d that it's NOT FREE. You have to pay to access it! So when you cancel they just keep taking the payments out. Last time I lost $50 -- this time it's a SECOND DEBIT of $2.95 -- even although I emailed them to cancel it after the first payment. BEWARE of this company.

This is a huge scam! I signed up for a 7 day 2.95 charge - 2 weeks later I get hit with 38.50 and a claim I had a subscription! Uh no! I also had several other small charges like. 06 -. 09 -1.06 Waited on hold for an hour on the phone AND and trying to chat with an agent - never got through - went to my bank today to dispute all the charges except the 2.95 and found out the little charges are international fees - I changed my card to keep them from taking anymore unauthorized funds! 100% total scam!

Like pretty much everyone else said, they are just scam artist that rip you off, It seems so random that everyone else like me didn't read anything about the autorenewal thing, I barely use my credit card and didn't realize that they being juicing my card for the past three months, PLEASE if you read this do NOT support this awful company, I used this website because I did a few courses and wanted to update my resume, But it really makes me upset that they are taking money from people that are looking for jobs, Karma is gonna get you Scammers. Did their $2 service for one resume and they charged me an extra $35.80 randomly out of my account without telling me! I called them the sane day, was put in hold for 20 minutes and was told they have to put in a request in order to get my money back two weeks later. I just got an email saying my refund was rejected because it was after the 14 "free" trial. THIS SITE WILL SCAM THE HELL OUT OF YOU!
Update: Talked to an Anna B. That emailed me regarding my account; she argued with me regarding the entire interaction and was extremely rude. On top of that she has still refused to get me a refund of the money they stole from my account and has stopped emailing me after pratically screaming at me about the refund. Their customer service is horrible and they have a scam of a business running.

Answer: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I am a very organized person who worked for the state that I reside in as an investigator. I had an injury and had to make a change in my career. I am very careful about getting pulled into scams, however, I felt that this would be a good opportunity to build a resume and cover letter that was more updated than when my original resume that I wrote years ago. First of all, the templates are not free. After spending a long period of time writing the perfect resume, I only had the option of spending $2.99 to have access to the resume/cover letter. I felt that was a reasonable fee for the use of the template. As I stated, I am very organized and manage my finances very well. I made sure that I went into my account and cancelled by subscription after 5 days of use so that I would not be charged the $29.99 for the month. Today, I checked my checking account and sure enough the $29.99 had been deducted. I immediately called customer service and they stated that my cancellation had not gone through and they had no notification of my cancellation. They were willing to give me back only $14.00 of my $29.99 back and then went on trying to sell me more offers. I was extremely angry and then spoke with a supervisor. He also argued that I had not cancelled. I went through the same steps to cancel my account while the supervisor was on the phone with me. Low and behold the cancellation went through! Obviously, this company has set up the cancellation process to fail and you will be charged the $29.00 anyway. I definitely learned my lesson! I had to threaten to have my attorney to get involved due to this company stealing money from my account before they agreed to reimburse my full $29.00. They could not give me a refund confirmation number for the remaining reimbursement. I as a Social Worker who advocate for people could not conscientiously could not write a review to warn people of this scam.
