I've used perfect resume before an even though u have to pay it for its definitely worth it. I so recommend it if you're one of those people who have trouble doing a resume. Their customer service is even pretty awesome as well on both occasions when I needed help they were great my last rep whose name was Liz apote was Extremely knowledgeable an super helpful she was very very nice happy young lady that's my kind of customer service THANKS PERFECT RESUME AN LIZ APOTE FOR HELPING ME!
I signed up under the auspices of their trial, paying in two transactions on my credit card statement, one in the amount of $1.00 and the other in the amount of $. 95.
I did so after I'd spend time building my supposed "free" resume, It said the subscription would expire in either 7 or 14 days.
I literally used the service ONE day, the same day that I signed up for the trial on and did not continue using it. I'm assuming it was a 14 day trial because my credit card was charged on the 28th of December, 14 days exactly after the initial charge.
After a short period of time I started to notice a fee of $24.95, repeatedly. I was confused because when I entered and agreed to the trial subscription it said the subscription would expire after 7 days.
I never received a confirmation email that my subscription was no longer on a trial and that I would be billed continuously each month. At no point did I EVER receive a confirmation letter stating that I would be charged an extra $24.95.
I called in to their supposed customer service department today to dispute the multiple charges that I have incurred from My Perfect Resume and despite the fact that he CONFIRMED I HAVE NOT USED THE SERVICE since the day that I signed on for the trial, his only answer was that he would cancel it today. No refund, no good faith.
I said that I could dispute it with my credit card company but would rather save each of us from the hassle and his answer was that it is my preogative to pursue this issue with my credit card company. Buyer beware. I wish I would have researched and found all of these complaints before giving them $1.95 let alone a nickle more.
Try a reputable service like TopResume.
By the time you get charged all of these bogus fees with My Perfect Resume you will be much further ahead of the game and end up with an excellent resume. That's who I ended up using for my resume assistance.

The process of putting the resume together went well but trying to recover and print was not so easy. Spent time with a customer service person who was able to help but took awhile to adjust what was printing on my end. Would have been much easier to have received an email with the finished product and adjust proportions accordingly.

I cancelled my subscription as soon as I had the chance. This is not a free service to use to build a resume.
I was not satisfied with the ability to use this product. There were issues trying to download a copy to my computer. It is not as advertised. AVOID this web site if you want to build a good quality resume or cover letter that is truly "free". Very deceptive business practices in claiming develop your resume or cover letter for free. Typical bait and switch tactics.

This was my email to them when I canceled my "subscription":
"Honestly, when I google to find a website for guides of making a resume, I saw your website with good reviews, and then there was a button "Try free" (somewhat like that, I do not remember what was the exact wording), so I try.
But after I have spent an hour building my resume, I could see my product only after paying for the service. I felt like being cheated, but I didn't want to waste my efforts, so I paid.
And the end product I have downloaded is not easily editable with the Word program. So, seriously, this has been a very disappointing experience.
Now I am writing to ask for a stop of the service, no more payment from my visa please.
And if you don't mind, I would like to have a refund, because what I wanted was to "try free".

And eventually, I got their reply of canceling my subscription, but mentioned nothing about the refund. So, I will suggest you to find some real "free" templates on the internet, not this, because they purposefully make the format of the documents hard to edit even if you have paid for it. And the auto-renew model is cheating in my opinion.

This was my own fault. I signed up for 14 day trial. Didn't pay close attention to my bank account and $36 was taken out every four weeks in auto-renewals (to the tune of about $700 for a year and a half (a portion of which time I was unemployed). I just didn't notice it $36 at a time lost in debit card purchases. Pretty draconian considering a monthly subscription is, what, $3 and yearly $25?
Again, my own fault. Emailed today and customer service was very polite and professional but the answer was, "We are truly sorry for the misunderstanding, William, unfortunately this was the amount you agreed to pay for."
Fair enough. Undoubtedly a successful business strategy and model but I think a pretty outrageously excessive one as well that counts on people not paying attention. Just my two cents. That said, I liked the service itself. I'm just going to opt for a different one next time I'm in the job hunt.

I didn't want to sign up for per month payment35 dollars at the beginningalthough i pay around 5 dollars for download my resume.
The payment is not permitted by myself and i didn't read anything about the subscribing fee. It makes me very ugly because it is like a treat for customersbad service for one star and i just recently realize they deduct money from my account however it has been three monthsno one would care 35 dollars they pay for good service and i am not so poor ask for these 105 dollars refund. When I googled resume templates, My perfect resume pops up instantly and was listed as FREE. They have a lot great templates that you can use and the process was pretty easy until you complete. In the beginning it says that you can download or email your resume for free but that ended up being a lie. You have to subscribe for a monthly fee just access it.

There was a hiccup in the system due to an upgrade that kept me from submitting my resume for up to 48 hours and for my inconvenience and trouble my representative Jose gave me a very nice deal on my monthly subscription to ease my upset. You may not be liable for unauthorized charges and services not rendered. Also report misleading and false promises such as them telling you the charges will stop. Answer: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I am a very organized person who worked for the state that I reside in as an investigator. I had an injury and had to make a change in my career. I am very careful about getting pulled into scams, however, I felt that this would be a good opportunity to build a resume and cover letter that was more updated than when my original resume that I wrote years ago. First of all, the templates are not free. After spending a long period of time writing the perfect resume, I only had the option of spending $2.99 to have access to the resume/cover letter. I felt that was a reasonable fee for the use of the template. As I stated, I am very organized and manage my finances very well. I made sure that I went into my account and cancelled by subscription after 5 days of use so that I would not be charged the $29.99 for the month. Today, I checked my checking account and sure enough the $29.99 had been deducted. I immediately called customer service and they stated that my cancellation had not gone through and they had no notification of my cancellation. They were willing to give me back only $14.00 of my $29.99 back and then went on trying to sell me more offers. I was extremely angry and then spoke with a supervisor. He also argued that I had not cancelled. I went through the same steps to cancel my account while the supervisor was on the phone with me. Low and behold the cancellation went through! Obviously, this company has set up the cancellation process to fail and you will be charged the $29.00 anyway. I definitely learned my lesson! I had to threaten to have my attorney to get involved due to this company stealing money from my account before they agreed to reimburse my full $29.00. They could not give me a refund confirmation number for the remaining reimbursement. I as a Social Worker who advocate for people could not conscientiously could not write a review to warn people of this scam.
