MyPerfectResume accomplishes the basic needs for a resume while also offering suggestions to improve your resume. Overall, it does serve its purpose.
HOWEVER, it baits customers with "FREE" resume download and print, not ever hinting you will need to pay a small fee of $2.95 until after you have spent an hour or so writing it up. Once you attempt to print or download, that is when you first hear of the fee.
$2.95 will give you 14 trial period in which you can make resumes and cover letters, print and download. There were very limited templates and the templates themselves were did not allow me to customize per need. And the cancellation process is super easy, unlike other reviewers say. You can call the customer service line, email the customer service line or log into your account >> go to subscriptions >> and choose CANCEL SUBSCRIPTION. It will prompt you at least 2-3 times for confirmation... after that, it's done. As long as you do so BEFORE your trial ends, you should not be charged the $24.95 fee.
That being said, I consider this $2.95 well spent.

First of all, the customer service training they've received is outdated and not useful- no one wants to hear the monotonous repetition of their name (especially from a stranger) after every other word in a sentence. It DOES NOT make for a more personalized/more relatable customer experience. It's just OBNOXIOUS and ANNOYING. I attempted to cancel this myperfect resume subscription because it is overpriced at $24.00 a month, the customer service agent then offered me the so-called "special employee discount" price of $4.94 a month from here on out. I agreed to it so now I'll just wait and see if they stick to their agreement or not...

I used MyPerfectResume at first because I though it was a free service. It wasn't. It has a 14-day full access for $2.95, and monthly access, it says, for $5.95. I was charged $24.95 for June, $24.95 in July, and $24.95 in August! What happened to the $5.95 a month? I printed a copy of the page that says $5.95 a month, I could have handled that, but $24.95. No way!

I utilized this service to prepare a resume that I needed in a hurry. I cancelled the service through their website within the trial period, but was still charged the monthly fee. I spoke to Gabriel in customer service who immediately cancelled the service and credited the charge. He was very polite and professional.

I didn't know I had subscribed to my perfect resume. After receiving a charge on my account I contact customer service via email. Josue Sanchez responded promptly and canceled my subscription. Your product is overpriced. Pure and simple. These tactics of "50 percent off" and then "my special price" further aggravates me. I snoozed and I lost out on a 2 week free trial. That's on me, but don't insult customers with a price margin you should be offering in the first place.

Paid flat fee of $2.95 as a subscription and without my consent, the company took a further $70 over the next two months. I'm trying to get into contact with them but the Australian contact number doesn't seem to be active. This website never clearly states it will be taking this amount of money at any point, and it's incredibly difficult to detect it's a scam until after it's taken your money.
If a customer rep could get into contact with me to sort out my refund, that would be delightful.

I contacted customer support to cancel my account and was greeted by Deyna, She was very pleasant. She did a fantastic job trying to persuade me not to, but im stubborn, so I had her cancel the account and she was able to get me a refund. I made a resume with My Perfect Resume only to find out that they charge for it. I paid the initial $3 for the resume but I did not know they would start charging me for a subscription. I called to cancel the subscription and the woman I spoke to had an accent which made it hard for me to understand her. She repeatedly tried to convince me to keep my account and kept offering me lower and lower prices after I said no. She finally cancelled my subscription and then I asked if I could get a refund for the $24.95, and she says she can't because I was already charged. I told her that I had not even touched My Perfect Resume's services since making the resume so it would be unfair not to receive a refund. She finally gave me a refund, but went about it in a rude and condescending way; she addressed me by my Miss "my first name" instead of by my last name and the tone of voice she used was intended to make me feel inferior. Would not recommend this company unless you really cannot format your own resume or other forms. I was also charged foreign exchange fees by this company which doesn't help on top of their ridiculous pricing.

Their "Terms & Conditions" say that they have the right to change prices on you at any time. This is how I was charged over and over and over without realizing it.
Anyways, I originally was going to blow up on customer service but he explained everything so professionally that I couldn't help but give him proper acknowledgement.

Answer: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I am a very organized person who worked for the state that I reside in as an investigator. I had an injury and had to make a change in my career. I am very careful about getting pulled into scams, however, I felt that this would be a good opportunity to build a resume and cover letter that was more updated than when my original resume that I wrote years ago. First of all, the templates are not free. After spending a long period of time writing the perfect resume, I only had the option of spending $2.99 to have access to the resume/cover letter. I felt that was a reasonable fee for the use of the template. As I stated, I am very organized and manage my finances very well. I made sure that I went into my account and cancelled by subscription after 5 days of use so that I would not be charged the $29.99 for the month. Today, I checked my checking account and sure enough the $29.99 had been deducted. I immediately called customer service and they stated that my cancellation had not gone through and they had no notification of my cancellation. They were willing to give me back only $14.00 of my $29.99 back and then went on trying to sell me more offers. I was extremely angry and then spoke with a supervisor. He also argued that I had not cancelled. I went through the same steps to cancel my account while the supervisor was on the phone with me. Low and behold the cancellation went through! Obviously, this company has set up the cancellation process to fail and you will be charged the $29.00 anyway. I definitely learned my lesson! I had to threaten to have my attorney to get involved due to this company stealing money from my account before they agreed to reimburse my full $29.00. They could not give me a refund confirmation number for the remaining reimbursement. I as a Social Worker who advocate for people could not conscientiously could not write a review to warn people of this scam.
