I needed my old CV dolled up, the format looked ancient. So I googled it, found MyPerfectCV and got to work. Site works well, good templates, no bugs or errors. Then when it came to downloading my CV they asked for debit card details and gave a 14 day free trial. (I knew it was coming) So I did that and then (of course) forgot to cancel before the auto-subscription kicked in. I logged on to their Live Chat and pleaded for mercy (I was only a day late and there was no pending transaction showing on my bank statement). The assistant asked me for feedback, I responded favourably, then he offered me a massive reduction. £3 a month down from £16.95... And so I reasoned, that since I really should be more proactive in my quest for new work (and don't the weeks fly by so fast) I decided I might as well stick around for a month or two. Their swanky CV and cover templates could make all the difference! ;)

Avoid this site as you will spend ages filling in the details of your C. V only to find you have to pay. Monthly apparently. Luckily I stopped half way through as I was suspicious that such a slick site could be free. I would have given no stars at all!

The actual site was easy to use they are really helpful with information on review of my CV. When I had to cancel my customer service guy Marcos So stressed Figueroa don't know if that's his real name or not you never know with the online help thing s but he was great really helpful made the process quick and easy.

Before I signed up for the paid service I read some reviews. Most were negative but I liked how my CV turned out and couldn't find a way to get it off the site without paying. Then I saw something interesting on the site and that's when I realized.
Most people don't even bother to read the not-so-fine print. Most people here are whining about charges but I read them right off the first email I got. It tells you to cancel before the trial ends if I don't wanna get charged again.
You know what I did? I cancelled it and all was good. I get the site is meant for people that don't know a whole lot about Word and things like that (like me) but these idiots don't even READ. It's a miracle they have any money in the first place.

I have reported this as a scam and fraud as it genuinely is. Their "trusted partners" on the website of the 6 on there only 2 exist and the 2 that exist have no link or knowledge of the existence of this company. The terms and conditions state "if you purchase any services from us either on a one time basis or subscription, you are giving third party vendors permission to store your PAYMENT INFORMATION!" This company, of which I have no knowledge, has my card details and has taken 8 x payment of 23.80 sometimes more than once a month. When I enquired as to their registration number, which they are legally required to provide me it took 45 minutes to get a response. At this point they have come up with a company called Be Bold registered in Orpington and told me they were an affiliate company. When I checked this company there are no registered affiliates. Therefore their terms and conditions are a load of BS. Get your money back, these guys are fraudsters! Clearly the 5 people that rated them 5 stars work for them because I know that no one could possibly rate these thieves with 5 stars.

I was initially given the impression that creating my CV would be free, then a fee of £3.00 to pay after putting in all of the text. After doing all of that work I rather paid the fee. I have now noticed that they have taken £16.95 per month since and cover themselves by saying that that it states that it is a subscription on their website, Perhaps it is hidden in reams of tiny print but that was definitely not obvious in anyway. After all, who is going to pay £16.95 a month for THE SAME WORD DOCUMENT? I am currently claiming this back with my bank who said that they get a lot of these calls.

DON'T give these scammers your bank details, 3 months after repeatedly trying to cancel, they are STILL taking nearly £25 from my account each month.
I have had to contact the fraud department of my Bank to resolve this.

I would like to say how very happy I have been with the very professional and caring attitude of this company, everything was self explanatory and when it came to ceasing my subscription as I have now found employment I communicated with Edgar who could not have been more helpful.
