Many users express frustration over subscription practices and the difficulty in canceling services, often leading to unexpected financial losses. Concerns about data privacy and the reliability of the information provided are prevalent, with numerous reports of outdated or erroneous records. While a few customers found initial engagement promising, the overwhelming sentiment reflects dissatisfaction with customer support and a belief that the service operates unethically, prompting warnings against using the platform.

They indicate an existence of a criminal record on a name and town, age you are looking at but when you pay you get someone's else criminal record. A pure scam!
They put you on default for a record withdrawal without even asking you. A PURE SCAM. Make sure you cancel!
A TOTAL SCAM, TRIED TO LOCATE A MARINE SERVICE BODY, THEY THEN SAID THAT THEY HAVE INFORMATION ON ME, WOULDN'T TELL ME WHAT BECAUSE THEIR IS NOTHING,, BUT IF I PAID THEM $25 THEY WOULD CLEAN UP MY NAME, AGAIN THERE IS NOTHING TO CLEAN UP... THEY ARE NOT IN THE USA SO YOU CAN'T TAKE THEM TO COURT,,, STAY AWAY, I SHOULD HAVE CAME TO THIS SITE AND DID MY HOME WORK BEFORE STARTING TO DEAL WITH THEM,,, BIG MISTAKE SAY AWAY
MyLife.com is not correct about much of anything. I looked up myself and my husband, 98% is wrong. Where you lived, who you know, EVERYTHING. Don't waste your time or your money
Never use this website they charged my card 49 dollars after I deactivated my account and now ive been calling customer service for the past three hours and cant seem to talk to represenitive for a damn refund! Plus i cant find the info I paid for in the first place FALSE ADVERTISMENT!
What a corrupt company, they have deliberately make it impossible for people (customers) to deactivate their automatic renewal process. A very dishonest company that has made me (and will make you) work from frustration to get them out of "my life." I highly recommend that you use another reputation website.
I did the trial subscription and cancelled two days later. I took a screenshot when I disabled renewal to make sure I could prove it on a gut feeling that I would need this later. Sure enough, about two weeks later I got charged $14.95. I see others were charged more, so I consider myself lucky. However, it was not worth the one dollar I originally paid. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY PAYMENT INFO. DON'T DO IT!
I can't even give this service one star. But I have choose at least one star to submit a review. I $1 for a 7 day membership trial. This is how they reel you in. Apparently you are suppose to call within a few days of the free trial to cancel the subscription (a subscription that I never agreed to) or your account would be charged for the subscription. Prior to the 7 day free trial ending, my account was charged $79.95 along with an overdraft fee of $25. Unfortunately I had not looked at these reviews prior to starting the free trial. The customer service representative told me "you do what's best for you" when I informed him that I would be calling the BBB to report their service or lack there of. He also talked over me multiple times. Finally I was told that I would be refunded the $79.95 but not the $25 overdraft fee. DO NOT UTILIZE THIS SERVICE!
I paid for a $1 for a 7-Day membership trial in less than 24 hours after starting a membership my card was charged $131.40 for a year I called mylife.com the first Lady didn't like what I was saying to her and hung up the second person I talk to told me that she gave me a refund and I demanded that the account be shut down I told her as soon as we get off the phone I was going to check and if it wasn't shut down I would be calling back well guess what it wasn't shut down and when I call back this person tells me that they never took any money from me my card was denied and the 7-Day trial I had what's a gift I tried to tell her that wasn't true $1 + 131.40 did come off my card the Bank verify it but now they swear they never took any money even though the bank says they did, as I'm writing this I checked the mylife account and the trial that I paid 131.40 that was too of ended on March 9th 2020 is still active on March 10th 2020. I will be calling him again about this
They charge you for the $1 subscription and also for a full year without telling you. I asked if it was a scam and was rewarded with a full refund. I am furious with this company and their weasel ways. I highly do NOT RECOMMEND USING.
Totally Incompetent: MyLife makes to no attempt to cross-reference (i. E. verify) any of the raw data their search engine pulls to create their bogus "reputation scores". As an example, they list an unsatisfied tax lien filed by the state of Ohio allegedly against me in the year 2000. I have never been a resident of the state of Ohio and I have never owne property in the sate of OH. Easily verifiable! Therefore, whatever record they pulled was for someone with a similar or the same name. Also easily verifiable. Then there's the bogus "Damaging Associates" category of data which simply lists any neighbors who may have had (oh no!) a speeding ticket. When someone is living in a city apartment complex, there are literally HUNDREDS of "neighbors" almost all of which most residents have never met. What's worse, the address MyLife used to try to rat out all those nefarious neighbors was a temporary (6 month) apartment I leased 10 YEARS AGO. I have owned and lived in 3 houses since then in much "nicer" neighborhoods - with certainly many fewer (if any) "damaging associates" lurking about. ALL of those more recent addresses included mortgages which makes finding out that I no longer live in Alexandria, VA, slam dunk easy for a competent (and motivated) search engine and staff to verify. Take away all the easily verifiable BS in my record and I would be a model citizen (2 speeding tickets) according to MyLife. As it is, I'm despicably below the national average. Oh, and the "corrupt" part is, even when you pay good (more) money to be a "premium" member, and tell MyLife to fix the obvious errors, they do NOTHING. They simply post your comments (alibis) along with the erroneus information on their site. IT CHANGES NOTHING relative to the score and what people see when they do a search for you. The site is less than worthless. Don't waste a DIME on it.
Checked it out, paid $1.00 2/9/2020 to try it out, couldn't correct the information, so canceled, then 2/14/2020 I get an email stating the site is charging my credit card $54.95, I call told Customer Service rep that I had canceled, their solution they refunded me $45.00 and kept $9.95 for one month. Then I go check my Credit Card transactions and discover they charged me $1.00 twice! This site is a con, and needs to be shut down by the Feds. Gathering my info and documentation and sending it to the FBI.
Dont think ive ever experienced a more horribly run excuse for a company. At no point did they charge me any amount that was agreed to. They did bot cancel my account after calling to confirm cancelattion 4 times now. Theyve charged my card 3 additional times than agreed. Confirmation numbers they give you dont mean a $#*!ing thing, bevause they dont relate to your sale. They refused to remove my charges only until i threatened with a small claims civil suit. No one speaks $#*!in english in their entire company. And ironically all of their supervisors are always in meetings conveniently. $#*! Mylife. Have a great day.
I wish I'd done my homework before opting for a subscription trial on this site because there's a current class action lawsuit and for good reason. My "free" trial cost me $55 and that's just the first charge. I've now read countless reviews of MyLife.com charging more than what their customers signed up for in addition to several people saying their information on the site is inaccurate, including false criminal charges. Those responsible for this site are the ones who should be charge with a crime.
I'll post this anywhere I can to help people avoid being victims.
In job interviewing, my name search has come up
I deciding to follow this through. They have me married, I am not and have not been for over 6 years
They have my ex husband as LIVING and he died almost 2 years a go.
FALSE information DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY Its a scam I'm furious
Stumbled upon Mylife.com when searching for an address of a potential customer. Out of curiosity I entered my own name - my profile showed I had a been incarcerated / criminal record and the only way I was going to find out the information was to join there website. I am a business owner in the security industry the last thing I need is for one of my customers seeing a bogus claim that I have a criminal record.
I contacted them and had them remove my profile on their website. Out right FRAUD! -
Do not ever go on this site! I was a member for 2 days and discontinued it. I got a message from my bank that Mylife hit me up for $84.40 my bank blocked the transaction and sent me a text. So I loose my bank card because it was corrupted and have to wait 2 weeks to get another. I called this scum site and told them what happen and they did not seem surprised about this at all! Hopefully authorities will shut down this site and throw these scumbags in prison.
False and inaccurate information provided, about me and others I know! Said my friend had a criminal record and he's never been in ANY kind of trouble, in his life. It's not a matter of IF this company is sued, for libelous practices, it's most DEFINITELY a matter of WHEN!
Did a search for my name - I am a "JR" and it I see that it is listing my father as age 90 something and he passed away 25 years ago - don't think you will get a very accurate report for him
I was doing a search hoping to find an address and this site gave me the impression I would not be charged but no after wasting time with them doing their searching for information you get taken to the last past showing you what it is going to cost to get the information they just searched for. Then you get sucked into having a my life page etc etc etc... Sorry not for me.
Answer: MyLife has a "bad reputation" for charging customers after the 7-day trial even after you cancel your membership. It's a scam site.
Answer: It's called extortion. I, too, marvel that it still exists. Where are consumer protections? Unless it is so discredited that prospective employers just ignore it. Who would pay the exorbitant price for it, anyway? It has duped a lot of people, it appears and, for that reason, it should be put out of business. I just tweaked them with an email. Let's see how low my integrity "rating" goes down with its current 4.0, which in and of itself is a joke.
Answer: Don't bother, they will not honor the request! Create your own spam filter so they are not displayed in your inbox. If you really care, forward them to the spam dept. of your ISP. If enough people do that they will die out thru attrition. They have an $800 million judgement against them and will be forced into bankruptcy soon. Problem is they just rename the site and start again in another state. Takes being chased down and prosecuted to death state by state. Such is our wonderful legal system of loop holes letting these businesses exist and operate while simultaneously being prosecuted in another jurisdiction. Makes no sense to anybody but the scam artists and state legislatures on the take $$$$
Answer: Goodluck. It's a scam this site is completely bogus as not worth a second thought
Answer: Sadly, just like a famous rock star once said: "only the good die young"
Answer: Because it's fraud and once they get your account number they just charge whatever they feel like to your account without letting you know.
Answer: You have to contact them via email and request removal. It takes a few days. Copy the URL and reference it in your email. Google: how to delete your name from MY LIFE and follow the instructions.
