Went to this site and bought the promotional offering then immediately canceled it. They proceeded to bill me twice claiming I bought to accounts (like who would need two). Two days later I was billed 99.92 that they refused to refund stating they cannot do that and only cancel any future charges
Everyone gets a low score so you will pay to get the bogus information cleaned up. They are total sons of $#*!es. They need to be hung by their balls.
They charge you 1.00 for a free trial but then when you cancel it it doesn't really cancel it so then they renew the subscription which is unauthorized. I was charged 99.90! When I call he refused to give me a refund. I told him that he's a scam artist and is stealing money. I told him I wanted to delete my account and to give me my money back. He argued with me and won't give me the full amount they stole! I only got 78.00 back from this site! Do not waste your money. This site is so full of crap! They will STEAL your money. A bunch of scam artists! If you must give in and do so to get your totally inaccurate information use a prepaid card. You've been warned. Don't be stupid like me!
I WENT ON WITH THE PROMISE THAT IF I CANCELED BEFORE THE TRIAL PERIOD ENDED I WOULDNT BE CHARGED. I MADE A SPECIAL EFFORT TO CANCEL FOR THIS REASON. WHEN I CALLED THEY DENIED IT WAS CANCELED BECAUSE I HAD CONTINUED TO USE IT PAST THE TRIAL PERIOD. THIS WAS NOT TRUE. THIS CO. IS PURELY CROOKED AND DO EVVERYTHING AND ANYTHING TO SET IT UP SO YOU HAVE TO PAY BEWARE
I received a notice that someone had viewed me on Mylife and I could see what they saw. They gave me a poor score. I am a Mother with two very successful sons. One is the Chief of Police in a large city. They got my income wrong. There wasn't much there to see. Whoever, I suspect it is the contractor who came to my town who is a storm chasing con artist, who is mad at me for my one star reviews, didn't get his money's worth.
I searched my name, waited a few minutes for the search to complete, then they say pay for the results, after paying they say, oh we didn't find any info about you...
They are textbook fraud. 1) take your cc info; my bad! 2) then they withdraw MORE than they claimed IN FINE PRINT….
3) ABSOLUTELY no response whatsoever to emails, phone calls, notice the "s" as in plural meaning several attempts at inquiries to contact with no replies!
Contacted my bank. Done deal! My bank was quite familiar with this brand in particular! After looking at these reviews, I could see why. Disgusting!
Ok, I was curious, after all the searching I was done. I don't mind paying for the service it was ok as far locating information except when came to cancellation. If you unsubscribe it only unsubscribes you from emails. You have to call (during the week only)or cancel the auto payment (which you had no choice in the beginning). Not a good way to run a website but a good way to catch unwary customers. I would not recommend this site just based on that but also on the fact that its information removal service doesn't work! The other information is available elsewhere at a lower cost. If you do happen to get caught up in your curiosity, be vigilant in cancellation!
MyLife is nothing but a scam. Look up your info. Mine has very very little that is accurate (birthdate, bankruptcy, middle initial, some of the places I've lived etc. but they do have some of my jobs and job titles correct. It is garbage and they know it but want to charge you to clean up the data. Don't do it! Once they have your corrected info and bank account, you have opened yourself up to a lot more issues. They are scum and should be shutdown. Why does our Government step in here?
They're nothing but fried scam artist I mean I called that that like before the seven day free trial was up and asked why they charged my my credit card $42 and that's supposed to be a dollar he said oh cuz it was a prepaid card yeah but that's you charge it 42 if I go over the 7 days you're supposed to give me my money back he said you're not getting any money back I will fight them and I will sue them if I have to and I'm going to my credit card company right now and if they don't fix it then I'm going to file the civil suit against them because they're not getting away with this cuz they didn't nothing for me and they are nothing but scam artist that take your money
This is the worst company ever. They have charged me monthly mulitiple times for something I NEVER SIGNED UP FOR. Called 4 times to get the run around. Emailed them my bank statements and asking them to STOP CHARGING ME! JEFF TINSLEY IS THE WORST BUSINESS OWNER I HAVE EVER (NOT) ENCOUNTERED!
Then they asked for my credit card INFORMATION! Would not let me speak to a supervisor and many times they disconnected me. STAY AWAY! FAR FAR AWAY!. My Life is shady and crooked... HOW CAN THEY WORK ON YOUR OWN GOOD REPUTATION>>>>>when THEIRS IS SOOOO BAD! I called them in April and they charged me again in MAY! Stay AWAY!
I honestly was about to order services but decided to test it by looking up a family member very close to me. The information is sooooo way off. He has literally NEVER been arrested. He has had parking tickets but the way they present the info is so misleading and they have people as his family members that we have NEVER heard of... meanwhile they don't mention any of his actual family at all. So glad I checked first and this will be going in all my reviews. They should really check their information. They could be open to a lawsuit and ruin a good man or woman's name.
MAJOR SCAM!
They are hoping that you will forget or not have info to cancel.BS.Info wasnt very helpful either.
They stole my money tricky bastard need to go behind bars DONT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY
TRIAL FOR 3 DAYS $14.00 after that they send an email that my reputation has gone bad this people
Must be working from a basement i wasting my time writing this review
It's an expensive service. When I tried to cancel, they gave me a hard time. Additionally, they put me on hold for way longer than needed.
The information that they said will be provided when searching someone wasn't available. The information that they had for me was wrong. What upsets me the most is it stated that I have a criminal history and my last criminal activity was as recent as 2019, this is false. It also stated that I am single, again this is false. It had names of people they say are related to me that are not. Please don't waste your money or your time with mylife, it's a terrible company with many bad reviews and has also been reported to the BBB.
I originally purchased the $1 introductory membership as a curiosity to which I canceled right away only to get an automatic renewal notice a few weeks later for $19.95 which I couldn't cancel through the fraudulent website. The email notification stated I can call them to cancel my membership which I did and talked to an Indian woman who spoke poor English. I told her I wanted to cancel my membership to which she kept asking me questions and kept having trouble verifying this, that, and needed information I couldn't answer to proceed with the cancelation. We just kept going around in circles and it became obvious that she didn't want to cancel. I finally had enough and told her f**k you and hung up. I called my bank and told them to block any future attempts from them. Stay away from these scumbags.
I have already requested four times for mylife.com to remove my profile containing inaccurate and false information that can ruin my online reputation. I do not want my name connected with their site, but mylife.com refuse to delete my profile. How is this legal? How can they morally and ethically provide negative information regarding reputation scores when the company itself has terrible online reputation reviews? They are not credible, or a reliable source. Mylife.com is making money off hurting people's online reputations. How are they helping? The more sites that post negative information, the easier it is to Google and find more negative information on someone. Mylife.com needs to exposed, shut down, and held accountable for abusing their power online to make money off of people solely for their own personal gain. Are they a judicial system or a credit reporting agency? They are collecting information like "hearsay." Most negative information is removed from a credit report after 7 years. How can they continue to report information that no longer even appears on someone's credit report? Just because someone was going through circumstantial difficulties, doesn't mean it should not define their entire life and online reputation. A website needs to be developed for the sole purpose of exposing and reporting websites who provide negative online reputation information. See how they like it having their company's reputation scrutinized online? Not sure how a company can give out reputation reviews, when mylife.com is one of the most hated online sites out there. Shame on you!
I wanted to search only TWO people, so I signed up for the three day trial for $1.00. I did not receive an email with my account information. I checked my bank statement and there were TWOIcharges on my Visa, each for a $1.00 trial; one was for a "Premium" account. I did ONE search and tried to search a second person and it said that I'd completed the amount of searches allowed for the trial! I immediately called MyLife and was told I was Caller #15. The customer rep was an oriental-sounding girl and she was very difficult to understand. I said, "Why is it called a three day trial when I get ONE search? She had no answer for that. She said that my subscription was canceled and gave me the confirmation number. I said that I wanted an email confirmation of cancelation, and she said she would send it. I'm still waiting. I have read countless complaints about MyLIfe, and their underhanded business tactics. Why, may I ask, are they still allowed to operate?
On the net, if you look hard enough, you can find most things. You become more informed and can make better decisions. Along comes sites like MyLife which focus on one thing: your personal business, your privacy. They extol some ramped up benefits by being a member but the downside is they just want your money and YourLife becomes miserable according to the many complaints filed involving billing issues.
They compile information from a variety of public sources courtesy of the FOIA. While they claim there are benefits to their services, they're just purveyors of things often better left untold.
For example, you're a female and had a few nips and tucks and people are taking notice. Age fibbing is part of your DNA if you aspire to be timeless. Or suppose you had a speeding ticket ~ you're red flagged. Quite often the information is either wrong or dated.
The real service they offer is being a pit stop where you can see if anyone has skid marks. If you want to get them off your back, call them (phone number found online) and tell them in stark terms that you want to be off their site permanently. Emphasize that you have a need for privacy perhaps because you have a local business or gossip can hurt your standing in the community. Anything!
Answer: MyLife has a "bad reputation" for charging customers after the 7-day trial even after you cancel your membership. It's a scam site.
Answer: It's called extortion. I, too, marvel that it still exists. Where are consumer protections? Unless it is so discredited that prospective employers just ignore it. Who would pay the exorbitant price for it, anyway? It has duped a lot of people, it appears and, for that reason, it should be put out of business. I just tweaked them with an email. Let's see how low my integrity "rating" goes down with its current 4.0, which in and of itself is a joke.
Answer: Don't bother, they will not honor the request! Create your own spam filter so they are not displayed in your inbox. If you really care, forward them to the spam dept. of your ISP. If enough people do that they will die out thru attrition. They have an $800 million judgement against them and will be forced into bankruptcy soon. Problem is they just rename the site and start again in another state. Takes being chased down and prosecuted to death state by state. Such is our wonderful legal system of loop holes letting these businesses exist and operate while simultaneously being prosecuted in another jurisdiction. Makes no sense to anybody but the scam artists and state legislatures on the take $$$$
Answer: Goodluck. It's a scam this site is completely bogus as not worth a second thought
Answer: Sadly, just like a famous rock star once said: "only the good die young"
Answer: Because it's fraud and once they get your account number they just charge whatever they feel like to your account without letting you know.
Answer: You have to contact them via email and request removal. It takes a few days. Copy the URL and reference it in your email. Google: how to delete your name from MY LIFE and follow the instructions.
