I have been with MyHeritage since 2018 and find my experience exceptional overall. I have found many relatives I did not know I even had (from near and far) and am in contact with them. Further, the Scribe AI has changed my life! I have hundreds old family letters going back to the early 1950s- all written in Russian and Latvian (which I found hard to read due to the handwriting). I tried over the years to find someone to help me but with no success. I knew these letters were crucial to my family history. I could not believe what happened once Scribe AI was introduced to MyHeritage. It is the best thing that could have happened and worth the membership just for that. These letters as I thought have unlocked the keys to a long, long family history.
Also my interaction with one of the managers who I spoke to and upgraded my plan was beyond exceptional.
My experience with MyHeritage has been both productive and genuinely enjoyable. As someone deeply engaged in family history research, I've found the platform intuitive and rich in international records, helping me make meaningful discoveries across borders. I am incredibly grateful to Dorcas from the MyHeritage support team. I encountered several technical issues with our DNA tests, including a very stressful situation where my 91-year-old grandmother's test was unfortunately lost at the lab. Dorcas stepped in and resolved the issue efficiently, which was a huge relief.
Beyond just fixing the problems, she was exceptionally attentive and human in her approach, offering support that went above and beyond. She even suggested additional opportunities that helped me research our family history more effectively. Wie oben schon geschrieben die Sychronisation von Tree Familie mit My Heritage online funktioniert set dem 28.11.2025 nicht mehr. Kann keine Prifilfotos der Einzelpersonen im Stambaum bei Heritage einfügen. Bei Tree Familie funktioniert dies. Auch sind die einzelfotos der Personen in der Genologie bei nigel bufton vorhanden, weis nicht wie ich die in eine Datei runterladen kann.

I have found it very frustrating that My Heritage offers so much - links to all sorts of stuff that relating to your family history, and then hides it all behind a further paywall. What is the point of this? It is already expensive to use without having to pay more to uncover the many links that you suggest relating to various family members
I have membership with you but yet I get more information on other sites that you keep sending me but the problem is they cost money so I wonder why should I continue yours when it do not fill the purpose it was meant to be. Why do I need to do search on all these different sites is beyond me.
I love My Heritage, gratfull for DNA test, big data base, conections with people from my matches.
The one bad thing is contact with You. I was waiting weekes for answer and help, now I have premium, but it doesn't changed. I waiting again. I heard that I yave my asistent, but she never aswered anymore…it is weak.

I never expected to discover so many of my ancestors and the discoveries just keep coming. It is an amazing journey when the pieces of history come together. I wish my parents were still alive to see the information I have found.
My two issues are that it is easy to accept other's details that are inaccurate and it is hard to see the family tree and save details.

I have been using MyHeritage for many years to build my family tree. By now, there are nearly 6,000 people in over 550 photos. The "oldest" person dates back to the 12th century.
What is also very nice are the Smart and Record Matches, allowing you to use available archives and research by others.

My Heritage offers me a complete experience--from finding records, to DNA to the AI Features, especially AIScribe. If I have one complaint it is that I uploaded my tree from Ancestry as I had worked very hard to achieve a near perfect tree only to discover that I had nearly 1000 inconsistencies. I was dismayed but on closer examination many were multiples of BDM. These were not present on my Ancestry tree that I uploaded so have no idea what went wrong. I am now manually entering details in hopes I will also on e day have a near perfect My Heritage tree. On the positive side, through DNA matches, I was able to find my paternal grandfather and for that I am overjoyed.
Answer: My issue was the automatic renewal without any kind of courtesy reminder prior to the effective date, as other businesses do. Advising one year in advance is a poor business practice. When I contacted them immediately on the renewal effective date, they refused to cancel and offered me a 25% discount. They eventually gave me the full refund but it was due to me turning it over to AMEX to resolve. I do however agree with the advice to base your renewal on your own personal experience.
Answer: You can find your site subscriptions via MyHeritage homepage - pull-down menu on the right upper corner button "Settings". Then click on "My purchases", and button "Site subscriptions". Click "View details". The details contain section "Cancel subscription". Maybe you can get advice by mail from MyHeritage support team ([email protected]).

Answer: Dear Jonathan, Yes I have the same problem, I wrote to My Heritage and they have still not responded to my request for assistance. They are highly Sloppy and unprofessional in responding to customer request for assistance. Even though they have and excellent Technical Team. Fortunately I have another Computer with Windows 8 as a result of which I am able to continue working with my Website. But recently a few problems have cropped up with the recent upgrade of the My Heritage Program and have sent in a request for assistance and till today 3-5 months later I have no response. Apparently the company believes that they can play games with the customers. I firmly believe that they have somehow gone into self destructive mode.

Answer: Hi After posting my complaint about MyHeritage on here I got a very quick response from some one called Dave at the company. He told me to send an email to [email protected] and add the subject Dave: sitejabber. He responded a couple of days later - I emailed on a Saturday - and the auto repeat on my subscription was cancelled and my money refunded within days. Hope this helps.
