The knowledge base on My Heritage is phenomenal, consequently my knowledge base of my own family has greatly increased. It is a great feeling to find out so much about your family that you did not know before. Sometimes you find out that things you have always been told are not correct. This can be disappointing but at the same time exhilarating as a discovery has been made that puts an entirely new light on your research.
A mix of feelings as I find things out. There is plenty to find and the means to do it. Some things I have found were not as the family told me. That sort of thing leads to more research to find out the facts. This is where the surprises and disappointments can be. But all still very interesting. I find My heritage a great sit and now with Family Search in Utah added it is unrivalled.

I love MyHeritage. I do find it difficult to access for myself as I have a complicated computer set up and I need to get my verifiation code sent to my I-phone. That is not possible according to the person I spoke with. At this time in my life my time to use my genealogy sites is extremely limited and I would love to be able to get right to work in the few moments that I have at the time. Otherwise great site! Love it!

My Heritage ist sehr hilfreich in einigen Bereichen des heutigen Polen und zeigt immer wieder neue Personen, die zum Stammbaum passen. Allerdings nicht in allen Gegenden. Diese Lücken sind dann bei einer anderen Plattform (fängt mit "A" an...) zu finden. Etwas anstrengend finde ich die ständige Frage "Bist du ein Roboter?", was bei Eingabe von größeren Datenmengen zu unnötigen Zeitverzögerungen führt.

When you start out it is very exciting to learn more about your family roots. You soon can be overwhelmed with the sheer number of people and the generations. I felt this desire to continue and you realize it is important to the younger generation of your pedigree should they endeavor where you left off in your discovery. Family is important and is what keeps me coming back. I found just as I was nearing my goal then I had all of sudden thousands more but I can finally say, now that I have caught up, that the feelings of accomplishment are very good for the soul.
How do I do amendments, I would like to mark the people who are deceased, how do I do that please?

Answer: My issue was the automatic renewal without any kind of courtesy reminder prior to the effective date, as other businesses do. Advising one year in advance is a poor business practice. When I contacted them immediately on the renewal effective date, they refused to cancel and offered me a 25% discount. They eventually gave me the full refund but it was due to me turning it over to AMEX to resolve. I do however agree with the advice to base your renewal on your own personal experience.
Answer: You can find your site subscriptions via MyHeritage homepage - pull-down menu on the right upper corner button "Settings". Then click on "My purchases", and button "Site subscriptions". Click "View details". The details contain section "Cancel subscription". Maybe you can get advice by mail from MyHeritage support team ([email protected]).

Answer: Dear Jonathan, Yes I have the same problem, I wrote to My Heritage and they have still not responded to my request for assistance. They are highly Sloppy and unprofessional in responding to customer request for assistance. Even though they have and excellent Technical Team. Fortunately I have another Computer with Windows 8 as a result of which I am able to continue working with my Website. But recently a few problems have cropped up with the recent upgrade of the My Heritage Program and have sent in a request for assistance and till today 3-5 months later I have no response. Apparently the company believes that they can play games with the customers. I firmly believe that they have somehow gone into self destructive mode.

Answer: Hi After posting my complaint about MyHeritage on here I got a very quick response from some one called Dave at the company. He told me to send an email to [email protected] and add the subject Dave: sitejabber. He responded a couple of days later - I emailed on a Saturday - and the auto repeat on my subscription was cancelled and my money refunded within days. Hope this helps.
