Great platform! Powerful functions and features! May be i am not aware of it, but to search according to fields like birthplace or place of death etc. would be very helpful.
I have the following problems: In family trees, there are for example two (or more) different dates of birth/marriages or deaths. It's not possible to enter them into the family tree until they are verified in the registry record.
In the case of additional children and siblings that I don't want to include further in the family tree, I miss the option to mention them in a note, so that they would be visible but not subject to Smart/Record Matches searches.
If I make a mistake by accident and assign a person to someone else or if some person is accidentally listed twice, then it's very difficult to fix this error.

When I started I had no more than a handful of relatives. It didn't happen over night; but, one by one, more and more relatives popped up here and there. I now have relatives all over the world, Canada, the USA, England, Germany, Australia and New Zealand. I have so many cousins it beggars belief, 2nd cousins 3 times removed, 3rd cousins twice removed, even a fifth cousin in New Zealand! Thanks My Heritage, I couldn't have done it without you.
I only had 13 relatives when I joined My Heritage, now I have over 2,500. I wasn't in touch with many branches of the family, now I am in touch with second cousins three times removed and third cousins twice removed. What can I say, speaks for itself!
I have been using the software for about 10 years. The improvements over the years has been fantastic and helpful in building the tree. Having the software suggest possible links to other trees as well as newspapers and other documents, The only difficult part is keeping up with the number of possible connections.
From the onset, using the software was very easy and intuitive. Building a family tree is fast and since I had started with other software I was able to import that work. I enjoy the background research bein done on my behalf leading me to potential matches as well as records which have helped me tremendously. It is also great that I can use it on the web, on my computer on my tablet as well as on my phone (I use android and windows). All seamless!

Fehler oder Doppeleintragungen nicht erkennen kann, aber auch die Auswirkungen, die die Übernahme aus anderen Teilnehmern bewirkt. Die Logik in der Suche erschließt sich mir nicht immer, ganz alphabetisch scheint es nicht zu sein.

Since joining My Heritage, the information I have obtained regarding my past family members and ancestry has been more than I could have imagined going back almost 30 generations. Even though it can be addictive, it is also most rewarding and valuable for future interested generations to have at hand and explore..
Purchased DNA kit and sent it off to my Heritage after post office told me two forever stamps. Put DNA kit in mail and over three weeks it was returned to me for 4 cents insufficient postage. Do not know where it was for that long time or in what heat etc since came from Florida. Wanted to know if sample good after that time, and not one email returned or able to get through to anyone from My Heritage. Disgusted, waste of my money, and would not recommend them to my groups for DNA. I have best subscription and not sure if I will renew if I can't solve this problem! They have both MY email and phone to contact me. Phone number they give just hangs up on me!HELP PLEASE - ALL MY GENEALOGY GROUPS ARE WAITING TO SEE HOW MYHERITAGE WILL SOLVE THIS, AND AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE!

I found it a bit hard to get my head around the workings of this program at first. However, after a few mistakes here and there it all came good. Very exciting in fact.
Answer: My issue was the automatic renewal without any kind of courtesy reminder prior to the effective date, as other businesses do. Advising one year in advance is a poor business practice. When I contacted them immediately on the renewal effective date, they refused to cancel and offered me a 25% discount. They eventually gave me the full refund but it was due to me turning it over to AMEX to resolve. I do however agree with the advice to base your renewal on your own personal experience.
Answer: You can find your site subscriptions via MyHeritage homepage - pull-down menu on the right upper corner button "Settings". Then click on "My purchases", and button "Site subscriptions". Click "View details". The details contain section "Cancel subscription". Maybe you can get advice by mail from MyHeritage support team ([email protected]).

They are highly Sloppy and unprofessional in responding to customer request for assistance. Even though they have and excellent Technical Team. Fortunately I have another Computer with Windows 8 as a result of which I am able to continue working with my Website. But recently a few problems have cropped up with the recent upgrade of the My Heritage Program and have sent in a request for assistance and till today 3-5 months later I have no response. Apparently the company believes that they can play games with the customers. I firmly believe that they have somehow gone into self destructive mode.

Answer: Hi After posting my complaint about MyHeritage on here I got a very quick response from some one called Dave at the company. He told me to send an email to [email protected] and add the subject Dave: sitejabber. He responded a couple of days later - I emailed on a Saturday - and the auto repeat on my subscription was cancelled and my money refunded within days. Hope this helps.
