I have enjoyed learning about our family history and My Heritage has been so helpful in directing me to sources that I couldn't have found on my own. This site also continues to come up with new improvements to utilize in research.

I enjoy the vast research opportunities with MyHeritage. However, some research features cost extra which I would like to be part of the standard premium package. I would also like to see more focus on quality especially if it comes to matches with other family trees.

When I started my search for a family in December 2015. I never had one. For all the years in NYS to get your original birth certificate, you had to go to court. That all changed around 2017. My parents lived in Norway and worked on a cargo freighter traveling the world and that's how I came to be. MyHeritage went to work and found out who my birth parents are. They came up with way more than they had expected. I now have birth parents, uncles, and aunts. I also know that I have over eight generations of family dating back to the 1500s with name, Born/death, etc., etc., etc... I call that more than a 5-Star experience. That was the best present I could ever have wished for,

After paying for the service, I was unable to navigate the platform. I had a call from customer we service who tried to describe how I could do this, I was left none the wiser. To date I have still not received the heritage I for action I originally applied for. For me, it was a total waste of money.

It is easy to understand andbe able to create the family tree. I have been in other sites and have had a hard time to understand what to do.
I have used most of the main Geneology sites and continue to find My Heritage the best. It is user friendly and provides many extras, such as Photo improvements and Smart matches. I receive new information frequently via email so that I am always up to date in my research
Answer: My issue was the automatic renewal without any kind of courtesy reminder prior to the effective date, as other businesses do. Advising one year in advance is a poor business practice. When I contacted them immediately on the renewal effective date, they refused to cancel and offered me a 25% discount. They eventually gave me the full refund but it was due to me turning it over to AMEX to resolve. I do however agree with the advice to base your renewal on your own personal experience.
Answer: You can find your site subscriptions via MyHeritage homepage - pull-down menu on the right upper corner button "Settings". Then click on "My purchases", and button "Site subscriptions". Click "View details". The details contain section "Cancel subscription". Maybe you can get advice by mail from MyHeritage support team ([email protected]).

Answer: Dear Jonathan, Yes I have the same problem, I wrote to My Heritage and they have still not responded to my request for assistance. They are highly Sloppy and unprofessional in responding to customer request for assistance. Even though they have and excellent Technical Team. Fortunately I have another Computer with Windows 8 as a result of which I am able to continue working with my Website. But recently a few problems have cropped up with the recent upgrade of the My Heritage Program and have sent in a request for assistance and till today 3-5 months later I have no response. Apparently the company believes that they can play games with the customers. I firmly believe that they have somehow gone into self destructive mode.

Answer: Hi After posting my complaint about MyHeritage on here I got a very quick response from some one called Dave at the company. He told me to send an email to [email protected] and add the subject Dave: sitejabber. He responded a couple of days later - I emailed on a Saturday - and the auto repeat on my subscription was cancelled and my money refunded within days. Hope this helps.
