I've been able to connect with family members abroad I didn't know I had! I've read stories of heroic relatives going through wars, braving the sailing ships of the Trading Companies, and even packing up their homes and emigrate because of the Highland Clearances of Scotland. What starts with a SmartMatch from someone else's tree quickly escalates into another adventure through time.
MyHeritage charges a basic fee for their service, but has many free links to databases with countless names, facts, and even photographs. Every morning as I sip my coffee, I can peruse the matches that were automatically made overnight, and I'm never disappointed.
As you can tell, I'm VERY pleased with the program and the times I offered feedback to customer service, I was responded to promptly, professionally, and personally (not an automated response). If you're at all interested in genealogy, this is the place to be!

Hi
I have discovered that payment have been take without my agreement, I cannot access the my account has it keeps saying incorrect password, I try to reset but never receive the reset email.
I have tried contacting customer service with no joy at all.
My advice to anyone considering using this website is DON'T

Premium membership

Hello I am a free member of My Heritage and I keep getting your smart match emails and of course I cant follow them up as I am a free member. Now my question is this, how far can I follow up these smart matches with the different premium memberships.

Après trois ans d'interruption de suivi de mon site, et suite à un changement d'adresse mail, j'ai eu beaucoup de mal à consulter à nouveau mon site comme je l'avais construit. Mais avec l'aide d'Alexandra de Myheritage contactée à de nombreuses reprises, tout est rentré dans l'ordre. Merci à elle pour sa compétence, son efficacité, sa réactivité et sa gentillesse. As a long time user of the program, I recently ran into a few bewildering situations - discrepancies between my data on my hard drive and the online version, and needed to get help from the site. I corresponded initially with their Support Team, which was answered by Mia, who then saw the matter through to the final conclusion.
This is to simply state that the help I received was extraordinary in all ways and my problems were either resolved or in one case cleared up as to the root of the issue, which was out of the website's area of control.

You gave me 'My Heritage' in pictures so beautifully laid out! For years now I have been trying to figure out how to create a family tree of our rather "yuge" (to borrow Trump's word) and extended members of the Montenegro and Gonzalvez families. It is a real blessing that a cousin of mine living in the US told me to try and contact 'My Heritage'. Actually, I was trying to find my father's ancestors. He was born in Spain. You were able to provide me with his parents names, but not other members of his family. I did try very hard to check out all the names given but none panned out. Nevertheless, the family tree was created of the members of the 2 families that I could provide. Now I have a family tree and am thrilled to have one! Your system is really great, particularly since I am able to upload pictures of each member, as well as family group pictures and so on. And the process doing this is made so very simple!

So now, I am in the process of printing my Family Album and Family Tree. I will have a local printer print out copies of this, for distribution to my immediate family, so that generations hence, they will be able to look at our beautifully laid out Family Tree and Family Album. They will know who their ancestors are without having to go through the time-consuming research I had to go through!

. Regarding my recent review of MyHeritage website and the company as a whole i found that it was not for me.
Bit of communication issues from there side but they have honored their promise and refunded all of my money.
So i have to say that i am satisfied and happy.

I was having issues with using Sync. I am sure the slowness is due to my internet which at times works at a snail pace (AT&T DSL). However when trying to sync the sync would get stuck on Step 4. I contacted tech support who emailed to me clear step by step instructions on how to resolve the issue. Worked like a charm! Thank you Tech Support! I am back on track now. The only thing needed is a more prompt reply. I give you a 9 out of 10 score.

I used this site for three years with no problems at all. Only recently, after three years of not using the site, have I discovered that they have actually been charging me for three years without my permission, but I cannot get hold of anyone in the company to talk about this after several attempts at contacting them. The price is extortionate and I have received no service for my money.

Family site subscriptions and Data subscriptions are billed automatically each year and is also mentioned in the "Thank you for your purchase" email that is sent to you upon purchase of such a subscription. You also have the opportunity to stop the automatic renewal service via your online family site and you "My Purchases" page as also explained in the aforementioned email.

Don't do it!

MyHeritage charged my credit card twice for the same annual fee for 2015. I disputed the double charge with my credit card company. MyHeritage rescinded one of the charges but maintained the other while, at the same time, cancelling my subscription. So, MyHeritage made an annual charge to my credit card for a service that they had knowingly canceled. These people are all about money, period. DO NOT entrust them with you credit card information. There are credible genealogical sites out there. This is not one of them. I gave them one star because I was not able to submit this review with no stars.

My experience so far with MyHeritage.com has been great. The website gives you so many tools with which to explore and document your family history in so many ways. Since researching family history can be a monumental task, MyHeritage breaks it down into smaller, more manageable steps for the everyday person to understand.
My most memorable experience with MyHeritage staff was after Christmas 2015 when like everyone else, I had an enormous amount of debt I had to catch up on, including the website subscription. I did not have the money to renew the subscription, and in a last ditch effort to save all the research I had made, I contacted MyHeritage staff and explained my situation. They completely shocked me with understanding and empathy - they extended a short grace period to allow me to pay my membership.
I was, and am, absolutely elated! Before beginning an on-line family tree, I researched all the family tree websites in order to make a prudent decision. The first of course was Ancestry.com I've always been the one to give the little guy a chance first, so I made a decision to go with MyHeritage - and I'm glad I did. I'm sure that I would not have encountered the same quality of customer service at the competition.
I recommended MyHeritage to anyone! The biggest is not always the best!

I have been a member of My Heritage for 2 years, in my opinion it is the easiest site to use, the most reasonably priced and holds an extensive amount of data, I have had a lot of fun hours sifting through relatives of my Grandmother and found out that every single member of he family were born in a tiny village in Italy, this discovery went back 13 generations and without MyHeritage I would never have been able to go on that wonderful nostalgic historical journey, it has led to me finding many family members and spending many hours on google earth looking at the village where my ancestors lived for generations.
I highly reccomend this site. You just never know what you might discover

Fijne tool om stambomen te bouwen en te onderhouden. Af en toe loop je dan wel tegen wat bugs of onduidelijkheden aan. Gelukkig is er dan een helpdesk die prima support geeft

Best Myheritage ever!

Myheritage ist sehr gut, wenn man weiß, was wie zu machen ist. Das gedruckte Handbuch umfasst 340 Seiten und darin zu suchen ist eine Qual. Dann aber kommt aber die exzellente Mitarbeiterin Tabea ans Telefon. Ein paar Klicks und schon ist meine Welt in Ordnung. Das Leben kann so schön sein. Danke Tabea!
