I recently contacted customer support service regarding a free upgrade to my tree. I was not sure of what all was provided. I got several responses from Dean at Support Services and he completely explained to me just what I was and was not entitled to receive in a very in depth email. I was very happy with the quality of service that was provided to me!
I recently contacted the support team about transferring my family tree to My Heritage. They were very quick with their response and helpful with how to go about getting started with very easy to follow directions. I was very pleased.
Myheritage has been very useful in setting up our family tree. We had notes and Excell files, but now we have everything arranged into a single source, and it's easy accesible for everyone.

I purchased a DNA kit from MyHeritage. It took several weeks to get the kit. Then when I tried on several occasions to activate the kit, I had no success. I emailed MyHeritage and everything fell into place. Not sure what the issue was with my kit but it was taken care of in a timely manner.

In het begin wel wat moeten zoeken voor wat betreft de invoer, maar na enkele pogingen bleek toch dat het programma intuïtief en gebruiksvriendelijk is. Veel plezier mee gehad en ook dankbaar voor de hulp die mij steeds werd geboden i. V. m. Matches. Ook de spoedige en rechtstreekse hulp van het supportcenter is belangrijk geweest. De software is vrij overzichtelijk. En de site die eraan gekoppeld wordt is heel leuk om je stamboom te delen met je familie. Eens je je gezin invoerde, heb je direct zin om de grootouders in te voeren, en de nonkels&tantes, en, en en...
Dus als de software je zo motiveert om ermee te werken, dan ze toch niet slecht zijn?
De support die je krijgt is duidelijk, en vlug. Persoonlijk had ik een probleempje met de site, maar de helpdesk legde me binnen de 24u klaar en duidelijk uit wat er mis liep.
Enig minpuntje is misschien de prijs voor een premium. Dit zou in mijn ogen iets lager/anders moeten kunnen. Maar ik heb dit ook nog niet in detail bekeken, dus durf er ook niet meer over zeggen. Ik vind het wat jammer dat om andere stambomen te koppelen, je moet betalen. Maar natuurlijk als je je eigen stamboom goed onderhoudt...;)

Ayant essayé plusieurs sites de généalogie, voilà au moins 5 ans que je suis avec My Heritage! Pour la première fois, j'ai fait une erreur qui m'a fait perdre une lignée complète, ce qui représente plusieurs jours de dur labeur. Mais, grâce à l'aide obtenu d'Alexandra par courriel, j'ai pu récupérer facilement à 95% cette lignée perdue! J'ai toujours aimé le site de My Heritage pour son côté convivial, "friendly user", car c'est important pour les personnes moins habiles sur un ordi et il y en a plusieurs dans ma famille, mais qui peuvent quand même profité du travail que je fais pour mieux connaître notre famille. Bravo à toute l'équipe!
I've been using MyHeritage for over two years. It is a fully functional and easy to navigate geanealogy and family tree website. The free access to MyHeritage limits the number of people documented in the tree to 250 people. There is also a limit to the amount of photo storage space you consume. With nearly 200 photos of people and documents I am using only 5% of the allowed space so this is less of an issue.
The website doesn't spam the members. You will get only occasional emails from MyHeritage with updates that have been made to your tree by you or other family members. You'll get notifications of upcoming birthdays and anniversaries which you can control. MyHeritage sends newsletters about new features and genealogy seminars from time to time. I'd say communication from MyHeritage to the users is "just right".
Navigation around the website is easy and intuitive. A lot of functions of the website seem to be well constructed by the developers as they appear and function just like you would have hoped they would.
If you stick with the free subscription you will need to use other sources for research into other databases. The Website will alert you that other documents have been found but only give you a tease of the contents. Premium membership is needed to view them. I just use other sources to view them.
MyHeritage also compares your family tree records with other users trees. When the same people are found in other trees the site notifies you and it allows you to copy some data from the other tree into yours. Contact with the Site Manager of the other family tree is restricted to Premium members.
All of my experiences with their service people have been terrific. My issues got responses by email in reasonable response time. I think support came from overseas in at least one or two instances.
I've been impressed with the quick turn-around time and completeness of the responses from the support staff - not something that happens often these days in the era of outsourced support.
People need and should understand when they sign up to this database. They provide a great service to those who are researching their family tree. If you find an error on your family tree, there's a way for you to edit. It's not the responsibility of any of the website. When I had a question, I was given an immediate response. I have the emails to support this. It was not a computer generated response. It was from a real person who responded at a time when everyone was probably asleep. I find them to be hard working, diligent company that provides a great service and support.
I have used my Heritage for many years, starting from scratch to find my family, and have now completed my research with over 5000 people on my tree.
Initially, it took a bit of getting used to and I often emailed MH support for answers to things that I`m sure were somewhere in the Help Manual, but staff always responded with courtesy.
My Heritage is extremely comprehensive, and in my opinion it pays to subscribe to the Research Data as well as taking out the Premium Membership if you are a serious researcher, which enables research to carry on in the background 24/7, thus saving going to individual websites and searching for the information you require.
I don`t consider it cheap, particularly if you live in a country that has bad exchange rates, BUT I do consider it good value
Most of us hate reading instructions, but spending time reading the manual every time you do something (until familiar with all aspects) will really pay off.

Answer: My issue was the automatic renewal without any kind of courtesy reminder prior to the effective date, as other businesses do. Advising one year in advance is a poor business practice. When I contacted them immediately on the renewal effective date, they refused to cancel and offered me a 25% discount. They eventually gave me the full refund but it was due to me turning it over to AMEX to resolve. I do however agree with the advice to base your renewal on your own personal experience.
Answer: You can find your site subscriptions via MyHeritage homepage - pull-down menu on the right upper corner button "Settings". Then click on "My purchases", and button "Site subscriptions". Click "View details". The details contain section "Cancel subscription". Maybe you can get advice by mail from MyHeritage support team ([email protected]).

They are highly Sloppy and unprofessional in responding to customer request for assistance. Even though they have and excellent Technical Team. Fortunately I have another Computer with Windows 8 as a result of which I am able to continue working with my Website. But recently a few problems have cropped up with the recent upgrade of the My Heritage Program and have sent in a request for assistance and till today 3-5 months later I have no response. Apparently the company believes that they can play games with the customers. I firmly believe that they have somehow gone into self destructive mode.

Answer: Hi After posting my complaint about MyHeritage on here I got a very quick response from some one called Dave at the company. He told me to send an email to [email protected] and add the subject Dave: sitejabber. He responded a couple of days later - I emailed on a Saturday - and the auto repeat on my subscription was cancelled and my money refunded within days. Hope this helps.
