I am not the most knowledgeable about computers so had some issues in my family tree. I spoke to someone on the phone who was very nice, but could not help me and referred me to Tech Support. They are not very swift in responding back, but they were able to tell me how to resolve my problems after several emails back and forth.

I was new to building an online family tree on MyHeritage. Was learning as I go by using their excellent help Q&A they provide on the site. All was going well until I suddenly could not access some names I had just input. Thought it was a technical problem so-called the support team. Estefanny was extremely friendly and helpful and explained where to locate what I had presumed were missing entries. My tree was growing so quickly due to their amazing Smart Matches, Record Matches and Discoveries, that some had been grouped by name elsewhere and could be easily accessed via a drop-down file and immediately brought onto the screen in their part of the tree. Thank you support! They were fast, cordial and great to deal with. MyHeritage is quickly becoming my favorite online genealogy program!

The customer rep I talked with was completely knowledgeable about the problem I was having with uploading photos.(Turned out that the photos are too large.) But the wait time on the phone was way too long. MyHeritage, like many other companies that offer customer service over various platforms, should hire some more phone reps. Then their customer service would be 5 star!
I had two issues which were resolved but it took too long. The first issue was the pixel size of the photos. The program should have called out the error specifically, but it just rejected the photo with no explanation. The second issue was a problem with the synchronization (upload) which failed. They did address and fix the problem but it took weeks. That said I am happy with the program and support, but could use improvements.
I had problems with my databases in FTB, where addresses and notes multiplied completely uncontrolled. It was eventually impossible to work on the projects. I received invaluable support from MyHeritage by sending the databases to them. It was cleaned up and I was sent back databases without errors. Now it seems to work normally again. Thank you.
My heritage, is the Best site I have found, and I have tried all the rest, Some times though the names they take from Records, in England in this instance, are not quite correct as the older type of writing is ok for me but not for Americans to Decipher ( not their fault) the support over the Telephone is more than adequate as they go out of their way to be Helpful the Tree they provide makes a Good start for you, But you need to check all the Records... Top of the class from me for My Heritage

Through their tracker system I could see my order was stuck in the Post Depot in New York. When I contacted My Heritage about it, Eileil was so helpful in sending out a replacement DNA Kit.

My kit was mailed with tracking on Dec 26, rec'd by them on Jan 2nd and has not even been checked in yet. I called and they say there was tremendous response during the holidays, Maybe, with all the advertising they did they should have been prepared with more staff?
I have enjoyed researching my family tree and have made many discoveries because I was adopted and I didn't know who my family were for many years. Since then I have met many cousins, a sister and a brother and am still close to them.
Now I am in my 80's and I am probably not as astute as I was, so last year i signed up for a premium plus package but I didn't use it as much as I thought I would. Recently I received notice from My Heritage that I had signed up for auto continuation and the amount was taken out of my bank. I was horrified, I didn't realise I had signed up for that and I desperately needed that money. I contacted them, explained my position and thankfully they have now refunded the money, I am so grateful.

Answer: My issue was the automatic renewal without any kind of courtesy reminder prior to the effective date, as other businesses do. Advising one year in advance is a poor business practice. When I contacted them immediately on the renewal effective date, they refused to cancel and offered me a 25% discount. They eventually gave me the full refund but it was due to me turning it over to AMEX to resolve. I do however agree with the advice to base your renewal on your own personal experience.
Answer: You can find your site subscriptions via MyHeritage homepage - pull-down menu on the right upper corner button "Settings". Then click on "My purchases", and button "Site subscriptions". Click "View details". The details contain section "Cancel subscription". Maybe you can get advice by mail from MyHeritage support team ([email protected]).
Answer: If you are looking to get as many connections to your tree that you can, use My Heritage. If you want flexibility in who is added to your tree, use Ancestry.
Answer: Dear Jonathan, Yes I have the same problem, I wrote to My Heritage and they have still not responded to my request for assistance. They are highly Sloppy and unprofessional in responding to customer request for assistance. Even though they have and excellent Technical Team. Fortunately I have another Computer with Windows 8 as a result of which I am able to continue working with my Website. But recently a few problems have cropped up with the recent upgrade of the My Heritage Program and have sent in a request for assistance and till today 3-5 months later I have no response. Apparently the company believes that they can play games with the customers. I firmly believe that they have somehow gone into self destructive mode.

Answer: Hi After posting my complaint about MyHeritage on here I got a very quick response from some one called Dave at the company. He told me to send an email to [email protected] and add the subject Dave: sitejabber. He responded a couple of days later - I emailed on a Saturday - and the auto repeat on my subscription was cancelled and my money refunded within days. Hope this helps.
