I have been using Myheritage for over 2 years now. And have to say that it is the most exciting and informative site ever. I have discovered so many family lines and names using their amazing search options. I love this site and am very happy with the service. Always very helpful and always answering speedily to any query there is.
The man was so very sweet. He was so considerate and came back on the line a few times while he was checking out my problem. He wanted me to know they were working on it and had not forgotten me. BTW loved the accent.
Again, the techs were so helpful in solving my project problem. I had tried to solve a sync problem. In a short period of time tha problem was taken care of by the tech Nadja.

It should be for free and make money through ads and MyHeritage Premium should be ad-free. Also, why cant there be DNA tests for under 18s

Have been enjoying MyHeritage for close to a year now.
Had a couple of problems with 'smart' and 'record' matches not functioning properly on my site. Called support, got through quickly and spoke with a very nice TaliaG who assured me she would look into the matter. A short while later I received and email outlining the issue and making me aware that it had been fixed. Logged in and, voila, things worked as they should.
Very pleased with the site overall and my experience with support was nothing but positive.
I ordered one test for me, and one for my man. After some time, we got messege from My Herritage, that my DNA, Said that I was a man, and my man has DNA for a Woman, so offcoutse, we must haved mixed the test, not so hard to understand, and I called the nummer for Sweden for a couple of days, and a Voice in the phone Said, that no one could take my call right now in Sweden, but If I could wait a while, I could be taking to someone that speak english. So I did, after a fre days, and the call was sent, to a Woman in USA, and she helpt me, but it took a while, and are not supet easy for me comming from Sweden, to explain evrything in bad english and also say your email adress in english and also know what the Word for@ is in english? I didnt know But the lady in USA was very nice, so To her, but not so good grades for My Herritage. It is bad service! You need to have a better service for your customers
The gentleman I spoke to was friendly, yet professional. He verified my ID which I appreciated. I did not see my DNA kit on my family web site. He walked me through the steps needed to see it and was very patient with me. I less than 5 minutes my problem was solved. I would recommend My Heritage without any reservation.

I purchased the DNA kits for my wife and I. They were a fair value. However, searching their database was NOT productive at all and showed zero results for my father despite having specific, accurate search parameters. Using the same parameters on several free sites produced results I could verify as accurate. My little test focused mainly on census records. My father was a well known local business person and, briefly, elected to a public office. That should have resulted in public records as well as news articles.
Answer: My issue was the automatic renewal without any kind of courtesy reminder prior to the effective date, as other businesses do. Advising one year in advance is a poor business practice. When I contacted them immediately on the renewal effective date, they refused to cancel and offered me a 25% discount. They eventually gave me the full refund but it was due to me turning it over to AMEX to resolve. I do however agree with the advice to base your renewal on your own personal experience.
Answer: You can find your site subscriptions via MyHeritage homepage - pull-down menu on the right upper corner button "Settings". Then click on "My purchases", and button "Site subscriptions". Click "View details". The details contain section "Cancel subscription". Maybe you can get advice by mail from MyHeritage support team ([email protected]).

Answer: Dear Jonathan, Yes I have the same problem, I wrote to My Heritage and they have still not responded to my request for assistance. They are highly Sloppy and unprofessional in responding to customer request for assistance. Even though they have and excellent Technical Team. Fortunately I have another Computer with Windows 8 as a result of which I am able to continue working with my Website. But recently a few problems have cropped up with the recent upgrade of the My Heritage Program and have sent in a request for assistance and till today 3-5 months later I have no response. Apparently the company believes that they can play games with the customers. I firmly believe that they have somehow gone into self destructive mode.

Answer: Hi After posting my complaint about MyHeritage on here I got a very quick response from some one called Dave at the company. He told me to send an email to [email protected] and add the subject Dave: sitejabber. He responded a couple of days later - I emailed on a Saturday - and the auto repeat on my subscription was cancelled and my money refunded within days. Hope this helps.

When a minor uses the DNA Services, the parent or guardian of that minor will be held responsible for the minor’s actions and are deemed to have consented to the use of the minor’s information by us.
With regards to memberships, MyHeritage offers an assembly of free and paid subscriptions that will fit your research and budget. This includes a free basic membership and a free downloadable Family Tree Builder program.
That being said, some features require a paid membership to ensure the development and upkeep of our research tools. Some of our members prefer to only pay for some features as they don't really use the entire array of tools we offer. This is why we offer separate subscriptions along with a full complete one.
