The representative was friendly and was able to answer my questions and resolve my issue. The only negative was the wait time while on hold however they do give you an option to leave a message for a follow up call. I would also suggest that clearer information is provided for those ordering multiple kits and for the recipients of those kits. All recipients are directed to open a new site and create a new tree when they should be provided instructions on how to connect with the original purchaser should a tree already be in process.
Customer Service Representative was charming, professional, polite, answered all of my questions /concerns, and quickly resolved the issue. I am very satisfied with the company's follow-up support and will recommend using MyHeritage DNA to my family and friends.
I am quite pleased with the help I received... I had an unusual situation that needed some guidance. I habe waited the required four weeks for results on my husband when mine came over two weeks ago. Worse theres been no response from the company. Based on this being my third review Ill have no choice but to review it lower and lower until someone from the company contacts me. Should have used 23 and me. In fact we should probably order two kits from them for quality control - most of my friends used 23 and me with zero issues and very easy communication and response from the company

I made an initial error in entering my email address into my account. I then could not log on. The MyHeritage support service and many other departments requires the account number to contact them. While this is clearly a problem for a new user with no account number I did manage to call the sales group and within minutes my issue was resolved and Nicole was extremely helpful in getting my account information corrected and assisting me in getting logged on. I tried to call about an invoice, but as no membership number was mentioned om the invoice I had received, I had to log in and find it on the website. I wasn't succesfull in this. But before I knew My Heritage called me, and helped me with my questions and everything. Kindly, nicely and quicky. Very smooth.
Used the site last year and need to subscribe for the level of information I was after. Got loads of relevant and helpful information and shared information with someone I got in contact with. No time for this hobby this year and had forgotten until a subscription was taken. - Then I emailed to cancel, on a Saturday, Money was refunded within an hour- excellent!
As a new subscriber to MyHeritage, I needed help installing the program (i. E. exporting my tree from Geni). I have only praise for Maya who was extremely nice, but who gave me only formal info, to which I could have had access anyway. After a period of adjustment, in which I managed to understand by myself how it works (or doesn't) I gave up and asked for a refund which with the help of the same wonderful Maya, I received immediately. A pity such a nice person is representing such a bad enterprise. The problems I encountered were the following: 1. The very large family tree I have on Geni could not be exported in full. (even my husband, in-laws and their branch of the tree were missing. 2. I thought that at some point someone would suggest a possible match and by confirming that it is the same person, they would be automatically added to the tree. 3. Indeed, I got several mails saying "good news! We found matches' To my amusement the matches were found by MyHeritage IN MY TREE IN GENI! 4. BUT - in order to add them, I was prompted to UPGRADE my subscription, in other words to pay more money for something I myself have created! So, that prompted me to give the thing up altogether. Which I did.

I'm sorry to read your low star review and I regret to find that you feel like giving up your research.
I wouldn't give up and I do think that this kind of issue can be resolved.
If there is missing information on your tree, our match algorithms are designed to comb the web to find it by locating matching relevant information. Research tools such as these has assisted many in the Geneology research community to find new information and exciting discoveries.
In your case, it seems that our match algorithm has located your separate Geni account with that e-mail you received. We do give the option to ignore such matches and moreover their match source by simply clicking on the little x on the right side of the match.
With regards to your Ged export, Indeed, Geni and MyHeritage are two separate entities. Geni promotes the research of a "world family tree" and connects your research to it while MyHeritage focuses on individual Geneology research.
That said, when exporting a GED file from GENI, there may be limits to the GED export depending on your Geni membership and the amount of blood relatives. Note that MyHeritage doesn't have any of these type of restrictions with GED files and one may export any data you uploaded create even with the free MyHeritage basic account.
I recommend contacting Geni directly for assistance with exporting your husbands relatives as well.

I am very happy I got an immediate response to deleting my sister's email. I think I can trust My Heritage completely, I may not be able to pay for any of these services, therefore, if that is the case, I might discontinue with My Heritage, since it's not free. But for now, its interesting, the only part theyleave out is what your family tree did, like I want to know about centuries ago, if there were any nobility in Austria or Germany in the Leckner Family and whatever else they did in life, like moneylenders, landowners, farmers, aristocracy, lawyers, teachers, whatever.

Two days after my order to post, I noticed an error. MyHeritage was responsive and effective in fixing my problem. A great thank you for your understanding, which convinces me even more that I was right to adopt MyHeritage

Hi called today about an issue I was having with my MyHeritage account. A very informed and kind young woman was able to ease my concern. Someone smart hired that young lady!
Answer: My issue was the automatic renewal without any kind of courtesy reminder prior to the effective date, as other businesses do. Advising one year in advance is a poor business practice. When I contacted them immediately on the renewal effective date, they refused to cancel and offered me a 25% discount. They eventually gave me the full refund but it was due to me turning it over to AMEX to resolve. I do however agree with the advice to base your renewal on your own personal experience.
Answer: You can find your site subscriptions via MyHeritage homepage - pull-down menu on the right upper corner button "Settings". Then click on "My purchases", and button "Site subscriptions". Click "View details". The details contain section "Cancel subscription". Maybe you can get advice by mail from MyHeritage support team ([email protected]).

They are highly Sloppy and unprofessional in responding to customer request for assistance. Even though they have and excellent Technical Team. He told me to send an email to [email protected] and add the subject Dave: sitejabber. He responded a couple of days later - I emailed on a Saturday - and the auto repeat on my subscription was cancelled and my money refunded within days. Hope this helps.

Unfortunately, DNA testing is a long process and some samples take longer to process than others for various reasons. Some samples may need further analysis while some are easily read.
