A family member of mine subscribed to a free trial of $14.95 and got a email before the 14 day trial finished saying that it was going to cost him $172
For a one year subscription that he didn't agree to. He tried logging into his my heritage account to opt out and it kept on saying password incorrect these people are total rip off's.

I recently had an issue with My Heritage and the need to change the password and deal with the email breach in Oct. 2017. The staff that comes to the phone comes ready to help no matter what transpires and answer all my questions. I have even gotten a hands on lesson in how to better use the MyHeritage software to do my research. People speak clearly and slowing an with a happy voice. All seem to be more than welling to help me no matter how long it takes.

I wanted to delete my membership to another site wich I never agreed on. I had it once before (a few years ago) and by accident I was being reminded that de account was nearly expired (not my accouny, but the other one, what I didn't see at that moment). So I did pay for one year. After that, I saw that it wasn't my account and you guys did fix it by putting that money on my own dite. So, to avoid again that mistake, you helped me to delete that account what showed up on my account.
My friend, who got the kit of DNA test as a gift I gave him for birthday, forgot to register it online and then lost a box. 6 months passed by since then and I e-mailed customer service. They were so helpful and friendly!
They even offered me to send another kit for free! Lost box was found and they sent my friend results of DNA. I am impressed! Best wishes to their business!

I have been using MyHeritage Genealogy website for almost a year now, and I like it very much. Since Im learning as I go, I needed a little help from MyHeritage and called their customer support services and they graciously helped me with my questions and explained the answers so I understood them. I am very pleased with the results of my MyHeritage Family Tree and plan on staying.
I had a problem with viewing chromosome data. I was able to get through very quickly and get an initial response easily that confirmed I was right to raise my query and my problem was referred to their technical team. It took four days to get a reply but this was to the point and it turned out to be due to the way I had set my privacy settings. A pleasure to find a company that makes raising a problem easy and resolves it. JA
Answer: My issue was the automatic renewal without any kind of courtesy reminder prior to the effective date, as other businesses do. Advising one year in advance is a poor business practice. When I contacted them immediately on the renewal effective date, they refused to cancel and offered me a 25% discount. They eventually gave me the full refund but it was due to me turning it over to AMEX to resolve. I do however agree with the advice to base your renewal on your own personal experience.
Answer: You can find your site subscriptions via MyHeritage homepage - pull-down menu on the right upper corner button "Settings". Then click on "My purchases", and button "Site subscriptions". Click "View details". The details contain section "Cancel subscription". Maybe you can get advice by mail from MyHeritage support team ([email protected]).

They are highly Sloppy and unprofessional in responding to customer request for assistance. Even though they have and excellent Technical Team. Answer: Hi After posting my complaint about MyHeritage on here I got a very quick response from some one called Dave at the company. He told me to send an email to [email protected] and add the subject Dave: sitejabber. He responded a couple of days later - I emailed on a Saturday - and the auto repeat on my subscription was cancelled and my money refunded within days. Hope this helps.
