This is the first time I've had to use the 800 number. I had to find out how to change my password (you have to change it on the website and in Family Tree Builder.) Pauline talked me through it efficiently and pleasantly. The problem was solved in less than two minutes.
I signed up for a free 14 day trial. I was not sure if I need the service and I obtained some information during the trial period that was helpful. However, I did not see a need for an annual subscription since I was not likely to use it again. I forgot to end my free trial until I received an email of the charge for the annual service. I called and asked for cancellation and refund of the funds since I did not anticipate needing the service. In less than a day I had a response and confirmation the funds would be refunded. Even though it was really my fault for not cancelling, customer service asked no questions and responded promptly to my satisfaction.
My heritage has been amazing and helped me research my genealogy to beyond belief. With confirmation on google I have gone back to 317 BC on my fathers mothers side. Unbelievable. In Syria one fought with Alexandra the great. Came through Mesapotamia, Turkey, Germany, Sweden Norway France and into England with Wm the Conquerer. Love My Heritage.

The data breach was scary but no harm was done. Good thing financial info and other sensitive info was well protected. Lesson to all companies is to have two-step verification from the very beginning when people sign up. MyHeritage should have known to do that. Otherwise, all is well!

I ordered a kit and it didn't get to the proper address so was returned. I contacted them and they said they would send another. After I realized it was sent out and the zip code on the new addresss wasn't complete I again contacted them. They sent another out and I finally got the test. I worked with Odran and he was wonderful about keeping in touch with me and following thru with what I had asked for. I am ordering more kits for more family members and have read reviews with 5 stars from others. We look forward to results about our heritage soon! Thank You. I didnt understand why the updated results werent showing on My Heritage. He quickly explained he could refresh my account.
I also needed to understand why there were drastic inconsistencies with My Heritage and Ancestry DNA results.

Answer: My issue was the automatic renewal without any kind of courtesy reminder prior to the effective date, as other businesses do. Advising one year in advance is a poor business practice. When I contacted them immediately on the renewal effective date, they refused to cancel and offered me a 25% discount. They eventually gave me the full refund but it was due to me turning it over to AMEX to resolve. I do however agree with the advice to base your renewal on your own personal experience.
Answer: You can find your site subscriptions via MyHeritage homepage - pull-down menu on the right upper corner button "Settings". Then click on "My purchases", and button "Site subscriptions". Click "View details". The details contain section "Cancel subscription". Maybe you can get advice by mail from MyHeritage support team ([email protected]).

They are highly Sloppy and unprofessional in responding to customer request for assistance. Even though they have and excellent Technical Team. Fortunately I have another Computer with Windows 8 as a result of which I am able to continue working with my Website. But recently a few problems have cropped up with the recent upgrade of the My Heritage Program and have sent in a request for assistance and till today 3-5 months later I have no response. Apparently the company believes that they can play games with the customers. I firmly believe that they have somehow gone into self destructive mode.

Answer: Hi After posting my complaint about MyHeritage on here I got a very quick response from some one called Dave at the company. He told me to send an email to [email protected] and add the subject Dave: sitejabber. He responded a couple of days later - I emailed on a Saturday - and the auto repeat on my subscription was cancelled and my money refunded within days. Hope this helps.
