Started slowly with a few steps, hesitating all along the way, the got addicted and now manage 60 family trees, over three years with no glitch, excepted for self-inflicted mistakes. Customer services has been excellent for a newcomer, with ahnd-on, over the phone support. Portability over platforms has been a huige bonus to me. But large family trees tend to become unmanagable and I miss an off-site backup facility.

Overall I think MyHeritage is a good genealogy site, although I have not subscribed to other sites. It is expensive though. I find I don't use a lot of the services offered, just the basic genealogy research. This year I was offered a good price for the basic service and I took it.
I created a chart. I printed 119 pages hoping to display all the joined together pages. Unfortunately they printed in a difference sequence so I can't use them as planned. It was a costly business to no avail.

Après quelques années d'absence sur le site, j'ai repris un abonnement à MyHeritage afin de poursuivre mes recherches.
Le logiciel est trés performant et beaucoup plus de fonctionnalités à notre disposition.
Ich hatte Probleme mit dem neuem Premium Plan. Trotz meinem Handicap was die englische Sprache betrifft, konten wir es mit dem lieben MyHeritage Mitarbeiter lösen. Dafür bin ich dankbar, und es ist alles nach meinem Wunsch gelaufen.

Dank der vielen verfügbaren Datensätze konnte ich den Stammbaum unserer Familien weit zurück rekonstruieren. Ich arbeite nun daran ausgehend von den ältesten Daten zurück alle Nachfahren bis zur aktuellen Zeit zu recherchieren. Es ist spannend diverse noch lebende Personen mit einem 5. Und 6. Verwandtschaftsgrad zu entdecken.

Completamente funzionale per le mie necessità
I started using it to do a tree and it's been good for that. Now I can't do anything with it and it says I've maxed out the people for the free version but I don't see over 500 people on my tree. I've been using the list of matches to see who's who and where they match up, if possible.
Seems this is a very difficult website! I am always having log in issues! I really don't have the patience for such things! I am about ready to end this issue by canceling my subscription
The great surprise is finding others in your family doing the same family tree as yours and you assist them with their details and you also can help them. Also it gives you satisfaction that if others have the same information it then gives you confidence that your material you have in your tree is correct and that you can connect and help each other. It Is a wonderful hobby and Heritage really helps immensely.

Answer: My issue was the automatic renewal without any kind of courtesy reminder prior to the effective date, as other businesses do. Advising one year in advance is a poor business practice. When I contacted them immediately on the renewal effective date, they refused to cancel and offered me a 25% discount. They eventually gave me the full refund but it was due to me turning it over to AMEX to resolve. I do however agree with the advice to base your renewal on your own personal experience.
Answer: You can find your site subscriptions via MyHeritage homepage - pull-down menu on the right upper corner button "Settings". Then click on "My purchases", and button "Site subscriptions". Click "View details". The details contain section "Cancel subscription". Maybe you can get advice by mail from MyHeritage support team ([email protected]).

Answer: Dear Jonathan, Yes I have the same problem, I wrote to My Heritage and they have still not responded to my request for assistance. They are highly Sloppy and unprofessional in responding to customer request for assistance. Even though they have and excellent Technical Team. Fortunately I have another Computer with Windows 8 as a result of which I am able to continue working with my Website. But recently a few problems have cropped up with the recent upgrade of the My Heritage Program and have sent in a request for assistance and till today 3-5 months later I have no response. Apparently the company believes that they can play games with the customers. I firmly believe that they have somehow gone into self destructive mode.

Answer: Hi After posting my complaint about MyHeritage on here I got a very quick response from some one called Dave at the company. He told me to send an email to [email protected] and add the subject Dave: sitejabber. He responded a couple of days later - I emailed on a Saturday - and the auto repeat on my subscription was cancelled and my money refunded within days. Hope this helps.
