I am finding this a great help with my family tree in finding new relatives and information about existing relatives.
Firstly it is really difficult to find an email address to report an issue to. The chat is hopeless. Once I had managed to send an email, the response was in good time and resolved my issue.
Being able to find family that I never knèw I had has been absolutely awesome with my Heritage.Thank you for all your help
There is the good one: new matches you find
There is a less beautiful one: people take information from your tree. There after the software sends you smart matches with the same information. If you do not want to autorise all those matches you receive an enourmous backlog
It has been a pleasure to discover my ancestors, and all the links and connections attached to them My Heritage is easy to use and very thorough. My only complaint is the yearly renewal cost that is fast approaching me. I'm not sure I can afford it at this time and not renewing my membership will make me sad, but I don't think I can avoid it. Thanks, My Heritage for all the insight, help, and information.
I have had a great satisfaction in myheritage since I bought a Legacy software.
I couldn't sing in to my account, e-mail was not in use anymore. Correct answer to a few questions, got my account back with my new e-mail next day.

I've had great success in finding my family history and loved it. I had no idea for example I've learned that William Brewster from the Mayflower is my 10th great Grand father!

I have been using MyHeritage for quite a few years now. Always have lots of hits with family members from the past.
The call centre member was very helpful and was willing to call back when it was convenient for me as we were out at the time. Very good phone manner.
I like the way things come up automatically. But then I have found i don't know how to change things when they are wrong and there is no way of contacting you to ask. For instance my G G Grandfather is coming up as a step father to my G grandfather because I had first just typed him in as Charles Budd so your system called him G G grandfather and Charles Lane Budd as step father to my Great grandfather when he is his father and then another Charles Budd who was is son also mixing up with him and I have not been able to work out how I change that's why there is so many discrepancies in my tree. Please could you advice. Another thing there is no email or telephone number of how to get I touch to ask these questions.

As the owner of a family tree of 20,943 individuals going back to 400A.D. And still growing, I am fascinated to realize just how interrelated mankind truely is and that wars really do mean that we are actually killIng our own distant relatives.
A brilliant site. It helps that there are almost daily prompts that once checked out tend to prove so very helpful, or easily dismissed. Would highly recommend each and everyone of you to invest in this site to grow you family tree, awesome.
Why can't my heritage cover relatives in other countries without additional charges. What positive information can be communicated to me from DNA if my heritage level denies OCONUS relatives.
I find the Heritage website sometimes difficult to find relatives it seems to me it is only good if a relative is also a member, your search engine for some of my relatives is not good

Answer: My issue was the automatic renewal without any kind of courtesy reminder prior to the effective date, as other businesses do. Advising one year in advance is a poor business practice. When I contacted them immediately on the renewal effective date, they refused to cancel and offered me a 25% discount. They eventually gave me the full refund but it was due to me turning it over to AMEX to resolve. I do however agree with the advice to base your renewal on your own personal experience.
Answer: You can find your site subscriptions via MyHeritage homepage - pull-down menu on the right upper corner button "Settings". Then click on "My purchases", and button "Site subscriptions". Click "View details". The details contain section "Cancel subscription". Maybe you can get advice by mail from MyHeritage support team ([email protected]).
Answer: If you are looking to get as many connections to your tree that you can, use My Heritage. If you want flexibility in who is added to your tree, use Ancestry.
Answer: Dear Jonathan, Yes I have the same problem, I wrote to My Heritage and they have still not responded to my request for assistance. They are highly Sloppy and unprofessional in responding to customer request for assistance. Even though they have and excellent Technical Team. Fortunately I have another Computer with Windows 8 as a result of which I am able to continue working with my Website. But recently a few problems have cropped up with the recent upgrade of the My Heritage Program and have sent in a request for assistance and till today 3-5 months later I have no response. Apparently the company believes that they can play games with the customers. I firmly believe that they have somehow gone into self destructive mode.

Answer: Hi After posting my complaint about MyHeritage on here I got a very quick response from some one called Dave at the company. He told me to send an email to [email protected] and add the subject Dave: sitejabber. He responded a couple of days later - I emailed on a Saturday - and the auto repeat on my subscription was cancelled and my money refunded within days. Hope this helps.
