I've enjoyed finding out about my relations, I've managed to get a good way back. Although I do spend a bit of time trying to get the inconsistencies sorted, (some of the dates a way wrong). I have also tried numerous times to get a copy of my chart through the chart maker on the site but as yet I haven't managed to get anywhere with it. It's great what you can find on here. So overall it's a good site.

Have found so many ancestors and living relatives that I didn't know existed.
I started my family tree on Ancestry.com. I would get a notice or discovery maybe 2 or 3 times a year. I ran across My Heritage and decided to check it out. Now I get updates and family finds a few times a week. So much better at finding family members. It's pretty easy to maneuver the site and your tree. Just explore the site and you can get the hang of it. Glad I have it.
Not in a financial position that allows me to upgrade plan so hints and discoveries are a waste of time ie can't access without upgrade.
I am paying too much money for what I am receiving from MyHeritage. Why don't you reduce your cost to customers.

If you can afford it, it is a great program and useful tool. It opens up so many doors and such a hurry that it is hard to describe here. I have been into genealogy for over 40 years and MyHeritage stands head and shoulders above the rest.

I have used MyHeritage for years now. The functionality and features of this site are the best value of any genealogy site. The are constantantly adding features ahead of other sites and do not upcharge for every feature added. I have found more international records than other sites and without having to pay hundreds more in access fees.
A l'origine de cette aventure, suite à l'invitation d'un cousin pour consulter son arbre généalogique sur Généanet, en précisant que sur My Héritage, il était beaucoup plus élaboré, ce qui m'a incité à m'inscrire sur se dernier site. Par contre ce cousin ne m'a jamais autorisé à faire parti de la famille.
Par contre My Héritage à commencé à établir la genèse de mon arbre, avec de nombreuses erreurs, en conséquence, je me suis senti dans l'obligation de les corriger, et de ce fait, continuer l'aventure.

After being a member of a few other web sites, I found that this one was the easiest to maneuver. It has so many new features and I am about to upgrade again. My experience has been awe inspiring as I have been able to find my father's ancestors dating back to the 10th century. I have 25 generations of these ancestors and it's still growing thanks to this site. I would highly recommend it! It is the best!

Got the DNA test to track my lost family Got hooked, found my family and started to track my heritage.

Answer: My issue was the automatic renewal without any kind of courtesy reminder prior to the effective date, as other businesses do. Advising one year in advance is a poor business practice. When I contacted them immediately on the renewal effective date, they refused to cancel and offered me a 25% discount. They eventually gave me the full refund but it was due to me turning it over to AMEX to resolve. I do however agree with the advice to base your renewal on your own personal experience.
Answer: You can find your site subscriptions via MyHeritage homepage - pull-down menu on the right upper corner button "Settings". Then click on "My purchases", and button "Site subscriptions". Click "View details". The details contain section "Cancel subscription". Maybe you can get advice by mail from MyHeritage support team ([email protected]).

Answer: Dear Jonathan, Yes I have the same problem, I wrote to My Heritage and they have still not responded to my request for assistance. They are highly Sloppy and unprofessional in responding to customer request for assistance. Even though they have and excellent Technical Team. Fortunately I have another Computer with Windows 8 as a result of which I am able to continue working with my Website. But recently a few problems have cropped up with the recent upgrade of the My Heritage Program and have sent in a request for assistance and till today 3-5 months later I have no response. Apparently the company believes that they can play games with the customers. I firmly believe that they have somehow gone into self destructive mode.

Answer: Hi After posting my complaint about MyHeritage on here I got a very quick response from some one called Dave at the company. He told me to send an email to [email protected] and add the subject Dave: sitejabber. He responded a couple of days later - I emailed on a Saturday - and the auto repeat on my subscription was cancelled and my money refunded within days. Hope this helps.
