I subscribed to Ancestry initially but have concluded that My Heritage is much better for finding my European ancestors. Very satisfied with my membership.
There is just too much coming.out from MyHeritage to handle. If I pursued every lead provided, I would be doing nothing else all day. Is there a way for us to filter the feeds so we can focus on matches that are important to us?

Super finde ich, dass ganz einfach die Ergebnisse von anderen Verwandten in den eigenen Stammbaum integriert werden können. Manche Mitglieder der Familie haben einfach mehr Zeit und mehr Informationen. Dies kann man leicht für sich selbst nutzen und die eigenen Informationen kommen auch wieder anderen zugute.
Die AI gestützte Suche findet auch Informationen, nach denen ich von mir aus gar nicht suchen würde, die aber das Bild von Verwandten sehr interessant vervollständigen können. Zum Beispiel Zeitungsartikel, in denen jemand aus meiner Familie erwähnt wird.
Insgesamt freue ich mich, dass ich mich zu einer Mitgliedschaft bei MyHeritage entschlossen habe. Für eine gewisse Zeit ist das wirklich eine spannende Reise durch meinen „Familien-Kosmos".
We really like the features and research capabilities and have been longtime members. However, I do find that it is getting more and more expensive to be a subscriber and marketing has become very aggressive. We enjoy every other aspect of My Heritage, just not the upselling and increasing fees.
I still use Ancestry.co.uk as my primary website. HOWEVER, I continue to use MyHeritage as my permanently accessible genealogical website. Have found out that my maiden name was misused even when the older Ancestry IGI's were used, and I am slightly crestfallen. I have yet to find such discrepancies within MyHeritage. Additionally, the government Censuses are absolutely free on MyHeritage, whereas nothing can be found out except with an extended subscription from Ancestry. Lastly, MyHeritage continues to find ways to extend membership benefits, and the attitude of 'continual improvement' always attracts me back to MyHeritage.
I've been using MyHeritage for a number of years and found it to be invaluable for discovering my past family members. I have recently used the DNA facility which has been interesting and I am continuing to build my tree.

I get DNA and record hints almost every day. The photo enhancement is great. I get so many compliments with the living stories that I can share on my YouTube videos.
So many tools that I use a lot. Picture cleanup, ancestors talking, DNA matches, calendar alerts, and other things.
I get almost daily notices of new data to follow up on. The site is easy to navigate

Answer: My issue was the automatic renewal without any kind of courtesy reminder prior to the effective date, as other businesses do. Advising one year in advance is a poor business practice. When I contacted them immediately on the renewal effective date, they refused to cancel and offered me a 25% discount. They eventually gave me the full refund but it was due to me turning it over to AMEX to resolve. I do however agree with the advice to base your renewal on your own personal experience.
Answer: You can find your site subscriptions via MyHeritage homepage - pull-down menu on the right upper corner button "Settings". Then click on "My purchases", and button "Site subscriptions". Click "View details". The details contain section "Cancel subscription". Maybe you can get advice by mail from MyHeritage support team ([email protected]).

They are highly Sloppy and unprofessional in responding to customer request for assistance. Even though they have and excellent Technical Team. Fortunately I have another Computer with Windows 8 as a result of which I am able to continue working with my Website. But recently a few problems have cropped up with the recent upgrade of the My Heritage Program and have sent in a request for assistance and till today 3-5 months later I have no response. Apparently the company believes that they can play games with the customers. I firmly believe that they have somehow gone into self destructive mode.

Answer: Hi After posting my complaint about MyHeritage on here I got a very quick response from some one called Dave at the company. He told me to send an email to [email protected] and add the subject Dave: sitejabber. He responded a couple of days later - I emailed on a Saturday - and the auto repeat on my subscription was cancelled and my money refunded within days. Hope this helps.
