Dont even bother to try and use this website
It has to be the worst site along with the ATO websites
Absolute disgrace that a government cannot develop a website that you can access simply without stress.
If they cant do something this simple they should not be running the country
Poor Poor Poor People trying this such a waste of time just draining.
Who would make this so difficult is beyond me.
I am not an idiot I have 4 degrees.
Will give up once again + ring for the fourth time to wait for another hour
Utterly broken and unoptimized. Cannot complete any forms due to the website breaking and either not registering data or outright logging me out. Online options are supposed to be convenient, which is ironic that it's much less hassle to go into Centrelink in person to sort it out
Checking in with my QR code I received a message which implied I should connect with my MygovID - which I did not have. I downloaded the app to my iPhone. To set up an account I needed passport, driver's license and so forth - just to set up a link to my Covid certificate? I had already connected my Medicare app to the Covid certificate: why did I need something from the Tax Office? Then it took me round in circles, from one website and one app to another. This is something which I don't want, don't need and now don't have because I deleted the app. If I come across a roadblock in life which demands that use it I'll look again. Another bloody government app that doesn't work! Who is designing this garbage?
PS after 30 years in the IT business I really think that design standards are going backwards!
Just terrible. Round in circles. Over and over again with the useless redundant information. Just needs to be rewritten from the bottom up. Start again.
Absolute waste of time. Hours on hold, advice that isn't helpful, or even an option. Circles within circles and no one can actually help. Truly awful, makes one depressed in our own Government.
Mygov.com.au is the worst website I've ever seen in my life, nothing work, and Medicare plus is the same.
I've been trying to get the double vaxxed proof for three days, but unfortunately I completely failed.
You feel like you are in a circle, literally.
Very depressing.
MyGov is an absolute pain in the ****
It is impossible to log into, never works, always have to ring the helpdesk every single time we have to use it.
This is the only way to access government information and services, and they have designed it to be frustrating and inaccessible, basically to turn people away from interacting with government services and resources.
There is only limited help available on Saturdays, and none on Sundays. So you have to spend HOURS on the phone during work hours.
The title means trying something the same way and expecting a different result. Such crucial apps should not be like this. It must have been developed by $#*!ed quadrupeds who believe the earth is flat.
I am a certified Microsoft Professional (MCSE) and set up web servers and SIP telephone servers like eating lemmings. I have over 25 years professional IT experience.
But this MyGov App has me totally baffled. Whatever I do it will not display an OTP. Even when I try to register it tells me that I am already registered. And there is no way of de-registering the App as it is a Real Chicken and Egg situation.
Today, I setup the MyGovID app. OK, at least this one shows me an OTP or allows me to enter the verification number shown on my computer. But try to access ATO to do my Tax returns!
Not a chance, it goes round and round in an endless circle. I guess it is best to pay H&R $99 and get my tax return done rather than waste my time and get all aggravated trying to use this useless App.
What I cannot really understand is why no one is asked to test these apps before they are forced on us. Guys remember you are not King. It is our Tax money that is being used to pay developers who are unable to create an user friendly App.
If I, a trained IT pro, cannot use this App, May God help the general public in their endeavours.
Spent two hours trying to access my covid vaccination records without any success. First online, then after waiting for an age to get onto the helpline. The worst experience. (By the way, the "helpline" operator simply has the same screens you do when you go online. They assume the problem is that you're an idiot who can't use the web and only need help to navigate their site.) In the end, the operator also gave up. Frankly, it's put me off bothering to get the second jab, what's the point if you can't access your vaccinations records to prove you're vaccinated?
As someone who worked briefly in UX/UI (User Experience/User Interface), I understand the journey when it comes to interacting with an app. The MyGov app exemplifies an interface that isn't effective; the process of signing up and verifying your id was extremely arduous. When providing your identification documents, all seems well; but what could make this app more effective, is if that they were able to automatically connect your Medicare account during the initial stages where you provide the details when signing up. Once in the main menu of the app, the navigation is a bit limiting, with few buttons taking you external links, which for some users may be overwhelming. I suggest putting the information within the app, even if it is brief and concise and not have menu after menu. Overall, the MyGov app is a painful and limited experience.
Waited on line for 30 minutes then when they picked up they hung up...
Rang back and 8 minutes in music turned off and now have silent line?
The WORST. Never have I experienced a digital experience as poor as this, though what do you expect from a government tech initiative?! Would absolutely echo those saying they'd give zero if they could. I'd argue minus values are more appropriate.
Tried logging in to be told my account had inexplicably been permanently locked with 0 warning. My only resolution, based on the error message, was to set up new one. Tried to link my Medicare account having to answer a number of questions along the way. Submitted all responses and was faced with the same screen, same set of questions again being told I need to provide further info. But my options are…the same.
Spoke to a lovely lady at the call centre who entered exactly the same info as I had tried online and was able to get me moving. Poor lady had to ask for and enter all my details twice because she's dealing with a broken customer experience as well. Christ on a bike though, the online experience for MyGov is a hellscape even Pinhead would be jealous of.
This app is so disappointing. I use lots of apps and this has to be one of the worst considering how important it is! Its actually disgraceful. How much money have they spent on this for an incompetent outcome. Its either woefully incompetent or corrupt. Either way an embarrassment for teh Govt. How can they not know its so bad. Get it together on this stuff or you will be voted out pretty swiftly...
I'd been keeping a close eye on MyGov Inbox expecting some mail that would need a response within 2 weeks... I last checked MyGov on the 2nd of September, finding nothing new since the 20th of August.
Get a notification on the 4th of September that I've received some new mail... Open MyGov, and it's showing the new mail as received on the 3rd of AUGUST!? Yep, it's showing it was received BEFORE mail I'd already read on the 20th of August, despite the fact it didn't actually show up until the 4th of September... So the system back dated the received date over one month!
I work in law and I can't see how a system that behaves like that can be legal... Absolute disgrace.
They made website system for themselves,
It is not for user friendly.
After they made stupid system, they naver take my call… system just repeat contact to medicare, and than medicare naver take my call.
So they do not have to work, It is super easy for them.
How dumb is this? To link a Medicare service you have to access the My Health Record service to get the exact cost and date of your last doctors appointment (Because I am bulked billed so I don't get this info from the clinic). But to get access to the My Health Record you have to prove that it's you by answering these 2 stupid questions. 1) Exact cost and 2) last appointment date, which you can't get because you need to somehow already know this before you can log into the My Health Record (which is where you get this info from). Someone needs their $#*! kicked for creating really stupid questions. Where do the ATO get these genius's from?..
You are not able to link centrelink to mygov, I am fairly good at computers. Mygov really - 10
DO NOT GO NEAR IT. Visit centrelink to get rent assistance
Regards ky
You can't upload documents to prove your identity, you can't go back to the screen where you view documents to upload, it automatically logs you out after trying to verify documents. A complete waste of time and an embarrassment to the country.
