This Company charged me $8.00 after I called a few hours after subscribing to complain my faxes were not going through. Response was to give me an additional month instead of trying to figure out what was wrong. RED FLAG WENT UP!
BTW, Steve Adams gives a bogus phone and extension in his response. They are thieves! I will be reporting them to every board I can post to and file to the Better Business Bureau.

I was able to cancel today, but the process was long and arduous. You must call and speak to representative. I don't recommend ever signing up for free trial
Nightmare! We start requesting to terminate the Fax service since 2017 and my credit card is still being charged as of today. Robbery!
I know, I know. I shouldn't have signed up. Funny how you find these reviews only after you get bit. Well, my free trial ends tomorrow. I've sent two contact forms and held on a chat session for over 30 minutes, with no resolution. I was, however, able to log onto the site and get to my billing account info. There, I changed my billing address to something non-existent. Hopefully they won't be able to charge the card. I guess I'll know tomorrow.
IF it turns out they do charge me, I have screen shots of all the contact forms and chat sessions documenting the inability to cancel before the charge. I will make sure I file this not as a dispute, but rather as a fraudulent/unauthorized charge.
UPDATED two days later:
It turns out changing the billing address on record effectively stops MyFax from charging the card! I just received this email:
"Thank you for signing up for MyFax. In response to the growth of credit card fraud on the Internet, we have instituted fraud controls in an effort to protect ourselves and our customers.
We have not been able to verify the billing address and/or the contact information you provided, and have therefore temporarily suspended your MyFax account (your account has not been closed). This may affect your ability to send and receive faxes using your MyFax account."
Cry me an effing river! HA! So, to anyone who signs up for a trial account, make sure you change the billing address before the charge hits. You may not be able to cancel, but you sure can keep them from hitting your card. Woohoo!
UPDATE #2 3-19-19
Well, that didn't work. Despite getting a notice from MyFax that the charge was declined and my account suspended, my Visa card was SUCCESSFULLY charged. I've started a fraud complaint with the card issuer. Short of getting a new number, I don't know how to prevent them from hitting it each month - even though they don't have the correct billing address!
I only used the fax number once and tried to cancel before trial was over. I couldnt get ahold of anyone to help me. I kept called multiple times and still noone. Its been 3 months and they keep charging me for a service I dont use! I couldn't even log in to my account!
I am constantly fighting to get my login to work & when it does work the faxes fail at least 85% of the time. The site is constantly kicking me out half way through the process as well. I have contacted the company previously and was basically told it wasn't their problem, but rather my browser. I done what they said and it still didn't fix anything. I am currently seeking out other companies to port my number to. The reality is, I'm not fearful to try anyone now because IT CANNOT BE ANY WORSE THAN MYFAX!
Free trial requires credit card. The service does not work. You cannot actually login to the site. Your ONLY way to cancel is via telephone, but when you call they say there is an exceptionally long wait due to the login issue, and no one ever answers.
Do NOT start a free trial with them. There is no option to cancel the free trial on their site which is absurd. Upon emailing them to cancel it they said I needed to call or live chat. I did the live chat and I was 1st in queue for more than 10 minutes. My last option is to call them which I'll do when I have time but I'm sure it will take time as they will try to keep me from cancelling it. THIS COMPANY WILL NOT LAST LONG MANAGEMENT DOES NOT KNOW HOW TO RUN A PROPER BUSINESS.
Tried for 2 days to cancel my service. Cannot cancel it online. Could not get representative on phone. Waited 20 minutes on internet Chat, got to first person in line and was told "contact chat later". Sent 3 e mails to cancel- no response. Looks like will have to cancel my credit card to cancel my service. Beware MyFax!
I used this service once two years ago - I am still being billed. Cannot get these thieves to cancel the account. My credit card company has even sent requests to them - all ignored. When you email them to cancel they provide a phone number that places you on hold for eternity. Dreadful!
Get you to sign up for "Free" then start charging you monthly and can not cancel your account unless you call in and wait 30+ minutes to talk to someone... would highly recommend using another service.
I cancelled this account in December 2018. They charged me for January. They refunded January and then sent me a bill (which they were going to automatically deduct) for February. I spent over an hour 'chatting' with an overseas idiot and after giving him all the info, said "ignore the bill" THIS IS A BULLSWOOL COMPANY DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CREDIT CARD INFO) and you need to put up a minus stars option
I tried to send 2 time sensitive faxes to my Drs. Office, both failed. This product gets a fail in my book. If I could rate it zero I would.
Will find a better service should I need something of this nature in the future. Customer service was nice when they finally got me off hold. This and there isn't an option to provide a zero rating got them one star
Would give 0 stars if I could. False advertising. You will not receive a confirmation email. Don't waste your time, especially if you have to fax before a deadline! Lost all trust. Also, while waiting for confirmation that never came, I googled reviews/forums saying that they also scam people w/ 30 day trial fraud (i. E. can't cancel w/o being charged once or twice).
So... I ended up going to faxzero.com where I can only send 3 pages per free fax, but can send up to 5 faxes (for a total of 15 pages) for free. I got an email confirmation for each fax, and also a private link that updates the fax status so I could double check just in case email didn't come. Thanks faxzero deadline for docs was 4PM today!
I registered a trial account which provides free service for 30 days. At the end of the 30 days, without any notice, the company charged my credit card for a subscription. The company's website does not offer a way to cancel the service. I contacted the company to cancel the account. Initially they responded directing me to a chat service. The chat service said they were not able to proceed because they belonged to the US company and I was an EU customer. They promised to ask the EU company to call me but nobody called back. I have sent several email to the support, billing and UK contact email without any responses.
Edit: The company has reached out, the account is closed and a full refund was provided.

I called and spent 15 minutes dodging sales pitches to finally cancel my account. Then, I was billed anyway. A rep said that they "had received a request to reinstate my account". No such request was made so this is a lie. When I said as much, they changed their story to saying they "had canceled the wrong account" which is definitely a lie because I had to given multiple pieces of identifying information when I canceled my account. Then, the finance team denied my refund request! I was only able to get it overturned because I had saved the chat conversation where the rep admitted that "they had canceled the wrong account". The finance team claimed that they "intended to refund my account but actually made a mistake", which is suspect.Other reviews of the company show that this these lies and run-arounds are common practice with MyFax. This company is utterly fraudulent and needs to be penalized or shut down.
I requested to cancel by email. They did not accept it. Took two months to of being on hold for 30 min waiting for representative to cancel. Terrible. Only faxed once and did not go thru.
My Fax did refund the $4.95 late fee. I have still terminated service and will not do business with this company in the future.
My Fax charges erroneous late fees even when your credit card is perfectly good. Have had same credit card on file, but they charged late fee of $4.95 on a monthly charge. That is how they make their money. If you try to cancel they will tell you they will not refund the erroneous fee. They don't do this the first couple of months only after you have established the fax number and are no longer paying attention to their charges.

Answer: It is a scam service, they will not fix your problem, cancel and call your bank for a charge back. They are offering a service they do not provide.
Answer: Because they can. I am sorry if that sounds flippant, but it is the truth and there is no other logical reason for it. Please note that they don't charge by the page, but rather by the minute and they purposely use a very small bandwidth to send pages.
