The service worked well but it requires a phone call, and navigating through many options to cancel the automated billing to a credit card after the free trial. Would not recommend. There should be a way to easily cancel on-line rather than having to call, speak to someone and be offered "promotional" rates.
Ehh... service is spotty at best, but when I went to cancel, they made it very cryptic in my opinion. After FINALLY finding a number to call, I got some dude on the line that sounded like he was located in a cave somewhere far far away. On top of that, he was hard to understand, kept pausing weirdly, and kept me on the line for almost 30 minutes! CRAZY! He spent all this time trying to convince me to continue service... then says that I should immediately receive a cancellation email... which I didn't. So, I'll be checking to make sure this actually happened. I mean, why can't companies provide good customer service and make things user friendly? It boggles my mind!
I SIGNED UP FOR A 14 DAY FREE TRIAL WHICH INCLUDING 100 PAGES FAXED FOR FREE, I SENT 3 FAXES, 2 THAT WENT THROUGH FOR A TOTAL OF 8 PAGES AND ONE THAT DIDN'T EVEN GO THROUGH WITH 10 PAGES, I CALLED FOR A REFUND, WAS GIVEN AN ABSURD EXPLANATION, TOLD I WOULD BE REFUNDED, CALL TO CANCEL THE ACCOUNT, WAS TOLD THE REFUND WAS INDEED PROCESSED, CAME TO FIND OUT IT WASN'T AND THEN WAS CHARGED ANOTHER $10. SO NOW I'M OUT $20, THE COST OF A 2 MONTH PAID TRIAL IN JUST 2 DAYS INTO A 14 DAY FREE TRIAL. CROOKS. I WANT MY $20 BACK AND AN APOLOGY FROM A SUPERVISOR. THEY SHOULD BE ASHAMED AND BE DELISTED FRON GOOGLE SEARCHES. CROOKS!
I wanted to cancel my service and sat on hold for an hour more than once because they won't accept cancellation via their email support. I finally gave up. Fortunately I don't use the credit card I set up for their services very much, and ended up cancelling my card. They called a month later twice and still would not cancel. I have to call another number. Told them they'd be stuck with closed credit card because I wouldn't sit on hold any more.
They get you to sign up and then repeatedly charge your card despite the "free trial". I got charged $30 to send a single 9 page fax. The call center (to cancel, because of COURSE you have to call someone) was difficult to hear, and still took 30 min to process. AVOID
MyFax charges based on duration. Most fax pages take less than sixty (60) seconds to transmit.
However, for each outbound transmission, the number of pages sent is calculated based on the greater of the actual number of pages or the number of full and partial 60-second increments of transmission or connection time, whether or not the transmission occurs or is completed (such as instances when someone answers the call or transmission is interrupted before completion).
For example, a one page fax with a transmission duration of 30 seconds is recognized as one page, and a one page fax with a transmission duration of five minutes and six seconds is recognized as six pages.
I was on a TRIAL membership so I could check them out! THEY determine the transition time! The fact that they should be a technology company and apparently cost as much as a document to be hand delivered (actually, much more) is ridiculous.
Also! After my 3rd fax through them, I received a breach in THEIR system:

We have temporarily suspended your ability to take advantage of MyFax services that incur fees until we can verify that the credit card associated with your account, and the recent usage charges to your credit card, are valid (your account has not been closed). This may affect your ability to send and receive faxes using your MyFax account.
DO NOT go with them. 1 page, could result in a charge for 20 minutes with their math. They're one of the most unethical organizations I've seen in a long time.
I signed up before I realized that I didnt need a fax machine. UNDER the free trial for a month. Thank God I didnt actually send any faxes. I immediately looked for the cancellation button.. guess what? It doesn't exist. NOPE.. you have to call them.. when you do it takes a good 10 minutes to get someone on the phone. Once I finally got someone you could BARELY hear them because there were people screaming and yelling in the background. I tell her I want to cancel and here come all the questions and special offers.. and then you sit and wait for another 10 minutes and finally it gets cancelled. I can tell you right now.. I have already blocked them from billing my credit card because I have zero faith that they actually cancel your account. BUYER BEWARE!!!

I downloaded this app and it said I'd receive unlimited faxes for $10.00. I sent faxes and notice every time I sent a fax my husband's phone kept beeping. Soon realizing every time I sent a fax they charged me $10.00. $30 within 30 minutes then tried to take another $10.00 out of my account but couldn't because I blocked them and called them. The guy on the phone was extremely rude and told me that I faxed over 400 faxes, which was impossible! The proceeded to tell me that I couldn't get a refund only a credit and he'll send a credit request over to another department that would call me. Then my husband called (men are less excited) and told him the same thing. They are scamming and scheming people and they don't care. Plus, sounded like he was at home drinking a beer! They weren't of any help at all! I DONOT RECOMMEND THIS "FAX PLACE" or whatever. I couldn't believe these people! He immediately starts to tell me,
"WELL" (immediate defense). Poor customer service and they don't compromise their wrongs!
This is a SCAM company that lies and Manipulate people just to keep charging your credit card over and over again for 10 dollars each when it's suppose to be a free trial but isn't my wife downloaded this SCAM app and only faxed 9 pages and they charged my credit card 4 times back to back and then when we called them the guy was so rude and completely started lying saying that she faxed over 300 pages which was a lie and when we asked them to refund our money he wouldn't so I'm advising everyone in the world please do not use SCAM FAX!
Hello. They rope you in to a $10 a month plan. You send 1 fax. It says successfully sent, but never gets there. There is a criptic message in your account later that says it didn't send, but WAIT, you have a confirmation email. AND when you go back and check again after calling customer service, they confirmation is there in your account that the fax was sent.
Then you wait for 45 minutes even though you are the first in a cue for chat help (Average waited is claimed to be 3:23). Please for the love of all, don't waste you time and money.
Being kind works! I totally forgot that I signed up for the service and was billed today! I didn't mind because I had already utilized the service, but I went ahead and called because there was no way to cancel online.
I was on hold for quite a while, but I have no plans for the day, so I didn't mind! Once the representative answered, he was so nice to me, and I just had to be nice back! He helped me cancel my plan, and noticed that I was billed today! I said it was fine, I didn't mind, but he went above and beyond to issue me a refund! Thank you SO much to whoever helped me! :)
This service does not work, there is 1 support agent and he will have you send a test fax to him and tell you the service works fine. I tried multiple times to send my fax, and it failed. This is a scam, they are just looking for suckers to not do chargebacks or cancel their accounts, as you can only cancel if you call them.
I brought out my old sharp from 1990's, fax went right over after having to print it and rescan it at deathly slow speed, but it worked, and didn't eat $10 and disrespect me.
I tried to send faxes during my free trial which did not go through so I tried cancelling my account before the month free trial ended. I could not find a number in my country to call to cancel so I sent an email. I got a response from this first email offering me a discount and saying that if I still wanted to cancel to reply to that email. I did reply saying I wanted to cancel and received no further reply from them. I received a bill when the month ended and sent multiple emails trying to ask why and still no response. I finally found a number in my country which was on my invoice and called and cancelled. No money was taken out of my account because there was no money in my account. I confirmed over the phone that my previous payment would be cancelled as well. I received an email with confirmation of my cancellation. Now a month later I just received another invoice via email to charge me for another month. I am outraged and disgusted at the lack of customer service. Do not even get involved in with these people, they cannot be trusted and obviously don't care about customer service!
Tried to cancel account; took an hour on chat. Was still billed again. Raised hell on chat and email and threatened to have my bank reverse the credit card charge. They finally "discovered" on "further review" that they had cancelled my account the month before and said they're refund. Let's see if that refund actually appears.
Called with a tech support Question: how can I confirm the number of pages was sent. The rep Attempted to assist verbally then stated he'll need to see my screen and walk me through. As I waited for a request to see my screen he was already in my account viewing my fax that had sensitive info. I was totally unhappy with this process and after continuous concern he send me an email 15 mins later requesting permission To go into my account and asked me to reply. This was CYA after fact. Cancelled my service with them and looking into this matter legally.

Signed up for their free trial. Canceled before first payment. MyFax FRAUDULENTLY charged my account for 4 months. The denied any record of cancellation. NEVER successfully used their service a single time. They are off shore. They sell your information. YOUR CREDIT CARD INFO WILL BE COMPROMISED! They are CROOKS. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE CRIMINALS!
No fax was ever sent or recieved because it simply does not work. They refuse to reimburse regardless.
I first started a free trial with this company inn December to fax 3 pages to a company and they never went through so I ended having to send them to someone else to do it. I tried to cancel my free trial by calling first through the U.S. and Canada line and they disconnected the call. I tried this multiple times and failed to get a response. I then emailed them saying I wanted to cancel it and got a response back saying they do it over phone or through online chat on their website. I've been back and forth calling them for 4 months and have still yet to be answered. My most recent call I was waiting and the line picked up only for them to drop it. They don't care about helping their customers, they only care about taking $10 from your bank account every month. If they don't answer you, go to your bank and talk with them about the claim because they will continue to leech your $10 every month whether you use their "service" or not.
They sucker you in with a "Free" trial but provide no means to cancel your trial online. You have to call a very dodgy support number to cancel.
We were evaluating eFax services, MyFax required a credit card for the "trial" period.
I had one important evaluation question which i submitted to their customer service email. Never got a response from them, other than the auto-generated one with a ticket ID. Went with a different service, forgot about this until my CC bill arrived with the first month's charge!
Of course, you cannot cancel via the online portal or email "for security reasons". After hunting though a very convoluted telephone voice mail system I finally connected with a live person who told me they could cancel the account, but sorry they cannot issue a refund! BEWARE THE TRIAL REQUIRING A CREDIT CARD!

Answer: It is a scam service, they will not fix your problem, cancel and call your bank for a charge back. They are offering a service they do not provide.
Answer: Because they can. I am sorry if that sounds flippant, but it is the truth and there is no other logical reason for it. Please note that they don't charge by the page, but rather by the minute and they purposely use a very small bandwidth to send pages.
