Coronavirus issues
March 25, 2020

While other bank are giving 90 days relieved and add the payments at the end of your mortgage. Mister cooper does not want to do it. Told me to stop paying 3 months and the fourth Month I will have to pay 3 months plus the fourth one. This is crazy... On as this virus is gone I will look for another bank and leave this one.

Make it up as they go
March 24, 2020

Said they couldn't do a loan modification because I defaulted within the first year of a prior modification. At no time did they inform me this was what I was agreeing to when I signed the original modification. It looks like they found a loophole somewhere and said oh, this is our investors guidelines. That is no reason not to do another modification.

With the continued risk of the covid-19 virus going around a whole lot of people are out of work, with my husband being one of them. I get countless number of emails from Mr. Cooper saying they will help at all costs with our mortgage. Well my husband called today 3/23/20 and was on hold for 2 1/2 hours. After such a long wait he finally got to talk to someone. We explained the situation & the guy said they can not help in ANY way. He said we can just be late & accept the late fees. They say they will help but it's a front to make them look good. It's so sad at a time like this when so many people are out of work the first place you can be safe in can be taken away from you. God help this company.

I had a mortgage with them and in the first three months it went up $200. They bought out my original loan and when I did research I already had a bad feeling because they had bad reviews and changed their name. The will continuously try to look for anything to raise your escrow. I even put in extra money for my escrow and it took me getting consumer protection involved to get the money to post. I since refinanced my loan to get away from dealing with them.

This is a lie- "A Mr. Cooper Team Member is ready and waiting to help you. Call *******432"

Phone calls, emails, nothing gets returned, let alone completed. 4 months and still waiting on a preApproved loan to be completed... 4 advisors later and no progress- this company is a joke! A circus of unprofessional clowns that have no sense of urgency, business ethics, and finishing the job! Our lives were so much better before these jokes!

Absolutely Horrible
March 21, 2020

My mortgage was sold to Me. Cooper. My previous company for 27 yesrs, no problems. This company can't even give you a payoff over the phone. Why, because they don't even know. It takes them a week to figure it out. Its a strategy they use hoping you don't want to pay off your loan early. Stay far away from this company. PS. Customer service or robotic Customer service is very poor.

Company engage in deceptive/ dishonest loan practices causing me financial harm. They issued written guarantees they didn't honor and offered bad advi Over the span of 2 months I worked with Derek Clark in the Coppell Texas office. During this time Mr. Clark and his manager gave me bad financial advice that cause my FHA refi to collapse. He told me to withhold them make payments to get a loan that he finally was unable to offer. He and others in his office issued several written loan disclosures and was dishonest about there content or meaning. Derek often failed to contact me at agreed times his management would never call me back and even other in his office made comments about the dishonesty shown. Instead of being honest when I had the money to close Derik provided bad advice and asked me to spend my closing amount with a promise to lower closing cost that actually increases after I spent the money. I was issued several loan agreements which the company failed to honor. His supervisor Candi Tran ignored several complaints during the process. I complained more then once only to be lied to again. This company has caused me financial harm and undue stress because of the continued dishonesty during the process of a loan that was sabotaged buy Dereks incompetence as a supposedly licensed professional and the lack of supervision on the part of Candi Tran.

If Mr Cooper buys your mortgage beware. They are a deceptive company. Often you will be told what a family organization they are, but they will fail to communicate with you when you are looking for answers, mostly because they are hoping you will not be able to catch onto their slimy practices.

Well, my mortgage got sold to these people not to long ago. After falling on hard times and now with this corona virus thing keeping me off work, I can tell from all these reviews that there is zero hope of keeping my home. Oh and did you know they will send a man carrying a gun to your door to deliver a message to call them? Yup, a guy wearing a gun belt and gun like a cowboy. And from what I have read about these people, it's not worth even trying to call them. I'm sorry I bought a house at all and at this time, I see no solution except to just walk away from it and rent for the rest of my life. I mean when they send armed men to you door who are not identified as police officers, these asshats are officially the gestapo. I'll sign a deed in trust and you can have the house.

Scammers
March 18, 2020

We had our loan set up in 2 payments a month mr. Cooper buys our loan gives us the run around for 4 months with us inquiring every month when will our loan be in 2 payments I send in the forms all filled out correctly immediately after receiving them and still they want a full mortgage payment! Costumer service is worthless false and misleading information ask for a supervisor and still you get the same run around and they just pass you off frustrating you even more! We took pride in building our credit and mr. Cooper has messed it all up! I wish they would just give my loan back to chase!

Good luck refinancing
March 12, 2020

I was very pleased with this company in the begining using there app, until i got a call about refinancing. The guy told me it would cost me 5k for the refi. Next thing you know, tom sheridan sends me a closing document which i signed a lock in agremnent might i add. Sends me the closing disclosure and its about 8-9k more than what i was thinking and gave me a run around and something about escrow why it was so much more. And i asked why my escrow was going to be financed in the loan made no sense to me. So he starts sending me other loan options on a 15 year and a 20 year which i never asked for. So i ended up wanting to go back to the original proposal come to findout rates have went up by this point. Now its crickets, they wont get back to me or follow thru with the refi now the rates are higher, which i locked in at a lower rate. I even emailed his supervisor and called his supervisor twice and his name is randy tabor. Neither one of them have gotten back to me. Currently going thru someone else to refinance my loan, and going to be done with these people. Very unprofessional and it seems like its hoax. Seems like a bunch of people running around an office throwinf out numbers then when itndoesnt benefit them, they back out and ignore. Thats exactly whats hapoening in my case. The other people ive dealt with were very professional eslecially mario boone. Hes the original guy that got my attention. Tom sheridan says hes no longer is with the company. I can only imagine what happened there.

Worst Finance EVER!
March 9, 2020

Got my house refinanced through Mr. Cooper. Agents were very unresponsive. Never answering phone calls and completely dishonest when it came to cost or how the closing costs were going to end up. Ended up I called my loan processor whos phone rang and rang with no voicemail picking up. I called the customer service line and the lady asked me if I transferred my loan to another company bc she couldn't see anything had been done and it showed I had a late payment status which would affect my credit. Still have yet to hear back from my agent or her manager. DO NOT USE MR COOPER!

Avoid mr cooper
March 6, 2020

Avoid if you can at all costs. Mr cooper made clerical error and directed my mortgage to unnapplied funds. They than sent me a foreclosure notice causing my credit score to drop 200. They fixed mortgage issue but my score has still not recovered even though they said they would try and help. When I called they said there was never a request to fix score.

HORRIFIC
March 5, 2020

If you want to be taken advantage of, disrespected, and no service, Mr. Cooper is your answer. For 10 years they paid a sewer connection fee (we built our home) out of escrow, and all of a sudden stopped. 8 months later + the BBB + attorneys they finally paid it. If you want your FHA MIP dropped, call, call, and call 10 more times. They currently owe us $800 for that. If never want to see your escrow statements or understand how they are calculated, use Mr. Cooper. If you want to talk to a computer for 11 minutes then get hung up on, these are your guys. This company is a disgrace. The only reason we are here is because our mortgage was sold to them which we have no control over. They should be put out of business. I'll leave with... call the refinancing line (or answer their calls because they call 2 times a month) if you want help with your existing loan.

They are the worst!
March 3, 2020

Well, I can concur with everything the other reviewers stated. They deliberately mismanage your funs, i. E., putting it toward your payments, rather than toward the principle as it was set up electrically to do. No one is helpful and everyone refers you to some mysterious "other department" that they claim they cannot connect you to. I asked the last person I spoke with how they manage of there is no way to email or speak to them and he had nothing to say. Our loan was sold to them but if you are out on your own, do your sanity a favor and avoid them at all costs.
