I moved on June 11,2021. Brandon and Brayden helped me tremendously! I have a disability and couldn't do a lot. Brandon showed up a hour before Brayden showed up. I had to go to a Dr's appointment and they stayed there for 6 hours! I only paid for 2 hours. They knew I needed the help and they loaded up my uhaul for me packed pretty well. When my family and I was unpacking it. I can't thank them enough for all the hard work that they did and helping me in anyway. Then Sheryl didn't even charge me for the extra hours. These guys are a huge blessing in disguised. Thank you guys so much! I highly recommend them to anyone who is looking to move and needs help. Ask for Brandon and Brayden! The best guys I promise you.
Scheduled a loading company through U Haul's website. Will never do that again. The loading company is Do It All Movers, Urbana, IL. Cheapest prices BUT as I found out I got nothing except utter dismay. Scheduled to load cubes for move to OK they were nearly 1 hour late and got lost. 2 guys in a pickup showed up and sat in the truck on their phones. I paid for 3 guys got 2 who wanted to argue what I reserved. At this point the "owner" told me they were leaving AND did. Called U Haul's # for hours until I got through and was told using their website was a courtesy for Movinghelp.com and promptly transferred me. I had to spend the rest of the day rescheduling loaders, hotels, freight co.
No-show alert! We scheduled 2 movers but they NEVER SHOWED UP! Phone was off and didn't respond to our texts! Called the company's phone number *******550 from MovingHelp account for help. The guy who answered the phone said that he will get it back to us, but he NEVER DID. Called in, left voice message... and... nothing. Talked to Uhaul, who brushed off all the responsibility. We had been left with bunch of packed boxed and furniture, but no help. We are filing complaints with FMCSA. Do Not use their service. It was a horrifying and extremes frustrated experiences.
WORST COMPANY EVER. Did not show, did not care. I confirmed all the information twice and was reassured all was set to go. On day of Move NO SHOW, NO RESPONSE. Tip Top movers was company. When I called Tip Top on Monday I got a song & dance why no one came & no reason why they did not call to tell me there was a problem. Not even an apology. When I called Moving Helpers who helped set up move, they could not have cared less! Zero accountability! THIS COMPANY DESERVES A NEGATIVE RATING.
I guess I didn't estimate well how long it would take 2 people to move my belongings. I thought they charge by the hour. I estimated 2 hours, but it only took them 1 hour. Since I estimated 2 hours, they charged me for hours. Next time I will read all the fine print. "You agree that You are not entitled to a refund from Us for any Services that are completed in less time than that amount of time set forth in your Request."
Simple. Don't trust them to show. They won't even call or text you back. They work in tandem with U-Haul in what must be a variety of ways, and all unscrupulous.
American Metro Movers Alliance - Stay Away. These folks never showed up. Confirmed appointment... did not show up. I had to pay extra day for truck rental.
Movinghelp.com was useless to assist. Stay away.
They were scheduled for 2:30pm and I received confirmation. At 2:30 received call they would be 1 1/2 hours late. They were in Mobile AL. I'm in Navarre FL. At 3:45 received call they wouldn't arrive before 4:30 due to traffic. I had a 20' truck to unload and return NLT 5:00. When I complained to them I was told they are a legitimate business and didn't need our work and canceled me altogether. They said I was rude. I was not rude I was mad that were not holding up to their agreed service. Buyer beware. Will NOT recommend.
Highly disappointed that we engaged people through this site and they don't stand behind the people. We used: Professional Movers based on the ratings. Not only did they try to blame us for damage but they responded with Thank you for feedback. We packed the majority of the boxes and they came to do the furniture scheduled for 3 hours are took 5 and only finished because I moved everything to the main floor myself. The people who unpacked did a good job but likely caused some of the damage as well. The owner said he would show up and didn't.
I tried to become a moving helper and Uhaul/ moving help DID NOT approved me because I'm a woman they denied me and said I don't fit there business model and what's that? That I'm not a man! Don't use there site there are others out there
I hired these guys(won't stop moving) through uhaul to load my home contents into uboxes. It took them three times as long to do the job as normal movers and they kept over billing me every day. One day they charged me for ten hours and they only worked for eight. They charged me for five workers and there was only three. They stole about $15,000 worth of my belongings. Anything of value was taken. They through all of our clothes into trash bags. They broke open my locked gun case. They stole an old license plate and put it on their truck and are using it to drive across the toll bridge now and I am being fined for it everytime they do. I instructed them to padlock the uboxes and mail me the keys. They never mailed me the keys I had to break the padlocks. They won't answer their phones now when I call them. They disassembled my bed frames and exercise machine into so many pieces I will never get them back together. I am filing a police report today. They left a valuable painting in the house and forgot to pack it. The house has been sold now so I can't get the painting.
The other reviewers are correct!: This mover took over $1000 more than the original quoted price. He did this on day of move. It was every dime I had. Michael Little told me that otherwise he would never move me. His people damaged my furniture and Michael Little would not file a claim. When I contacted uhaul, they said they would remove this company from their website and could not do anything more than that. This company is still on their website. So they were no help and I guess Uhaul lied also.
Do not do business with Michael Little and moving help..
Long story short, stay away from MovingHelp. Once you pay them there is no recourse for damage! Made the mistake of trusting them and when we unpacked at our destination, lots of damaged furniture. Tried to file a complaint and complete waste of time. Also, you won't be able to speak with anyone either. You can open a dialogue box and then they tell you to work with the packing crew, who have no interest in fixing their mistakes once they've been paid.
Let them tell you whatever they want, their main concern is concealing the identity of the moving companies providing quotes and pocketing a commission from the deal.
If the moving company that you book through them has no availability, or is unreliable, they will not help you.
They will refund your money instantly which is very helpful, but overall this service is a complete waste of your time.
This type of business model really had potential, but they just didn't strive for quality with it.
Don't believe any of the false advertising on their website, unreliable.
The company we booked at MovingHelp.com lied to us. When we confirmed they were "on the way". Well, after 2 hours he wasn't taking calls. Straight to voicemail. Heres where this gets interesting. I started with an online chat with an agent named Marisol. I've been in the customer service industry for 30 years and this girl shouldn't be working in Customer Service. She was RUDE an unhelpful. I asked to speak to a manager three times. She wouldn't get me to a manager. Unheard of.
I than called into their customer service number and spoke with Marco. He basically said "too bad, I'll rebook you with another mover but you have to pay the difference". This company is nothing more than a reservation agent for independent movers. They take a fee off the top and don't care a bit about what happens with the mover. Research your mover very carefully. MovingHelp.com could careless about you.
If I could give 0 stars I would. DO NOT GIVE THE CODE TO THE MOVERS IF YOU ARE UNSATISFIED! I made the mistake of giving A to Z movers the code (just to get them out of my house) after they did thousands of dollars worth of damage to my furniture. Movinghelp.com will not do anything for you if the company you hire does damage to your property in any way if you give the code - Im not confident that they would help even if you DONT give the code. I was told by a representative that all a company has to do is apply to be advertised and they are. You CANNOT and SHOULD NOT trust them with backing quality, professional moving companies. This is scam and I wish I had done my homework better before this nightmare started. I will NEVER use movinghelp, com again and to anyone thinking of using them (independantly or through Uhaul) I say: "RUN FAR AND FAST! Dont do it!"
I paid money for service but provider did not show up the whole day but was in touch over messages and then suddenly disappeared. Movinghelp website updates status of my order is completed. I was shocked and wrote 20 emails to movinghelp customer support and they create resolution ticket foe our satisfaction and after 14 days they will send you email saying they can't help by pointing out agreement point no 9. It says they can't help. What a hitech cheating. Be ware Sony loose your hard faught money!
I used this service, and they used tnt moving inc. I hired two people for $170 for 2 hours. A guy and girl showed up that were slow as molasses and very unprofessional. It took them the entire two hours just to load the truck... even though it was a one bedroom apartment. Then I had to pay them another $250 to finish the job, and they bailed on me. When I contacted MovingHelp they refused to take responsibility and told me to contact tnt... which just happened to be the guy who moved me. It was his business. They worked like two high school kids who didn't want to work. They refused to give me my money back, even though they left without completing the job! What is that? I was left high and dry and ripped off. I had to hire two guys the next day from another storage place... who btw were EXCELLENT! I'm out $250 for two people that were probably just off the streets, and then another $260 for the ones that actually DID the job (which were not through MovingHelp). This was all on top of the quoted total of $170. I cannot say anything but RUN AWAY from this company!
I suspect that maybe the owner is the one that who reviewed their company and gave them 5 stars... I can't for the life of me figure out how any rational-minded customer would give them anything but ZERO STARS.
So our move from Florida to Massachusetts continues to be an adventurous one, all for good reasons EXCEPT...
I emptied our storage unit in Wesley Chapel and I hired a "reputable" mover to load the 26' Uhaul truck that I rented... My first mistake... hiring PrimeTime Movers and everything was downhill from there.
First I paid for 4 movers for 2 hours, 2 of them were late, second, one of them was filthy, third and this is the most demoralizing... we had a 3 bedroom storage unit to be loaded into the truck... the majority of what I've seen so far is damaged. Things that shouldn't have been loaded together, heavy fireplace put on top of my daughter's bedroom furniture... tore it to pieces. Instead of securing the full bottles of bleach we had, either on the floor or in the Mom's Attic of the U-haul, the just sat them on top of an expensive piece of furniture and 1200+ miles later... bleach everywhere and on everything. Can you say, INCOMPETENT?!
I feel like I've held your attention too long if you're reading this, stop reading, look at the pictures and then hire a different moving company. Prime Time Movers are a Prime Time Joke and a Full Time Nightmare. I can't believe U-Haul recommends them.
Read this review, swipe left on these guys and pick College Hunks or Two Men and a Truck, heck, pick Snow White & the Seven Dwarves... you can't do worse.
When something goes bad, and your moving help breaks something, you have no recourse. MovingHelp.Com points out the waiver on their site that absolves them of ALL liability, forcing YOU the customer, to file a lawsuit if your stuff gets ruined.
Their movers are NOT required to carry liability insurance by MovingHelp.Com and most of their movers, I've determined, are just muscle-ey guys who just show up and load or unload, and have no real moving experience and don't really care.
I WAS a loyal customer, but after my antique desk was damaged and I was treated this way, I will NEVER use them again. Ever!
Answer: Do not use these people. They don't care if they ruin your furniture. They are very inexperienced, and are a total rip off! Don't believe what you read about them on MovingHelp, that's completely false!
Answer: A good moving company is Almighty Movers. I used them before and they are professional, did a great job, and do not overcharge. I about to move again, and will be using them again for sure! You can count on them for help.
Answer: Run do not use this websight they will rip you off and there is no one to talk to never see your money back.
