I purchased a transmission from Monster Transmission in October 2023 that was advertised and sold as a 4L65E. After installation, the transmission caused the engine to stall as soon as it was put in gear. Its best to have a local transmission rebuild your transmission than have these scam artists sell you one of their many hack transmissions.
I purchased a transmission and it didnt last 5 days, ive been trying to get a hold of these people and its been almost a month now. Did some googling and found out they are owned by some kind of investers names hidden harbor capital partners down in Boca raton fl. I'll be sending them a letter next.
They are the worst. Took over 6 months for them to respond and finally agree to "honor" the warranty. Sent the transmission back costing me almost $700 in shipping. They another transmission that was worst then the first one. Took another 3 months to get them to look at this one another $700 shipping. They sent that back and still does not operate. I now have to a transmission shop to rebuild there transmission. Do not buy from monster transmission their products do not work and they Will Not fix them. Totally disgusting
I purchased a custom 4L60E for my race car that was being built in April. I paid extra for the custom chrome pan a purple painted transmission and the correct torque convertor. My race car is finally done with everything, and the transmission was installed this last weekend it went to the tuner yesterday February 25,2024 and the transmission doesn't have 2nd or reverse. I called Monster transmission first thing this morning to talk with someone about returning this broken transmission and they are telling me that there isn't a manager on duty to talk to. I can be transferred to the warranty department which of course doesn't answer I have to leave a message and 5hrs later and 5 more messages and phone calls and I still didn't talk with anyone. I finally get a hold of Janice in the warranty department only to have her tell me that all of their transmissions have a 30-day warranty. You got to be kidding me what the hell kind of transmission company only has a 30day warranty. On their website it states 3year/unlimited warranty, but Janice says my transmission doesn't qualify for that warranty and since it sat In my garage in there shipping container with their transmission fluid that the transmission went bad. REALY SINCE WHEN DOES A PART HAVE A SELL BUY DATE WERE NOT DEALING WITH FOOD. This company is by far the worst company to deal with they have their heads so far up their asses and all they obviously do is RIP people off.
Bought a brand new transmission and it leaks. It doesn't even have 5 miles in it. They only offer a 90 days warranty, which is crazy short. Stand by your product and offer the industry stand warranty period. When called they were dismissive and unhelpful. Like they were doing me a favor by letting me buy their transmission. Buyer beware!
Absolutely bad, there is only one star for the marketing. Half of my AOD gearbox was installed incorrectly, the oil pump didn't work, the bearings were a lot apart, the main axle had deep scratches and not all of the seals were replaced. Contact can only be made via telephone; other channels are not answered. Monster Transmission, Factory Transmission, Transmission Depot are all the same thing just with a different name.
You can forget about the guarantee, especially abroad.
Absolut schlecht, einen Stern gibt es nur für das Marketing. Bei meinem AOD Getriebe wurde die hälfte falsch eingebaut, die ölpumpe funktionierte nicht, der die Lager vielen auseinander, die Hauptachse hatte tiefe Kratzer und die Dichtungen wurden auch nicht alle ersetzt. Kontaktaufnahme gelingt nur über das Telefon alle anderen Kanäle werden nicht beantwortet. Monster Transmission, Factory Transmission, Transmission Depot sind alle das gleiche nur mit einem anderen Namen.
Garantie kann man vergessen llem im Ausland.

A simple question requires multi page info filled out just what i want a 140$ hour mechanic to fill out. Questions were answeeed with no answers just " i think you voided your warranty". - i havnt even installed anything yet?!
Paid 5k for CUSTOM 4r70w and most important at time was making sure kit included hook up for traditional 1970s speedo. Sure i can get a n adapter but that's $1000 to put in adds in necessary etronics and i believe since it was my concern on order they should have included a Speedo hook up gear in the tail.
So they don't put in what i believe should be the gear they say seriously F-off and bye bye
I ask one question now. Is the 4r70w capable of hooking up to a traditional Speedo - my mechanic says yes- they leave it out make me pay another grand

I ordered some wave plates. It took too long to get them so I bought elsewhere. When I called to set up a return (after an email, a chat and 2 phone calls they tell me I did not request a return for more than 48 hours it may not be accepted. Yes 48 hours. When I told them that wasn't much time, they said "it is in our terms" like that made it right.
I will NEVER buy from these scammers again and I suggest everyone stay away from these crooks.
I ordered 3 parts from Monster Transmission, one of the parts was a transmission bracket for a Edelbrock carburetor to a 700r4 trans.$69.95. Was sent the wrong bracket! They admit the part sent to me is wrong! They then recommended the right brackets number which they do not carry. They refuse to let me return the part or refund my money! They admit it is the wrong bracket and still refuse. Why, because I took it out of the vacuum sealed package. Why did I take it out of the package because they want of picture of the problem! WHAT RATING WOULD YOU GIVE THEM?
After selling me the wrong year of transmission they stopped calling back while I was trying to return it and just left me with a trans I can't use and none of my money back. These people suck
I would not buy a transmission for these guys. They take your payment when you order and they wait long enough for delivery that they exceed any time limit of a credit card assistance. The 700R4 transmission I bought was shipped to me 10 weeks after I ordered it. I installed it and did not make it out of the driveway before I knew something was wrong. Hit three gear and my rpm would shoot up to 6000 rpm and my jimmy would not go forward. I called them and they told me to take it to a shop. Shop told me that they would have to open it up further to figure out the cause of way there is no 3 & 4 gear. Called Monster Transmission and they said that I probably installed the TV cable wrong. My shop wrote them and told them it was installed correctly. Monster Transmission said ship it back and they would fix it and if it was their fault the repairs would free but I had to pay for shipping. I asked if it is a manufacture defect would they cover the shipping to and from. Shipping to and from Florida to Alaska is about $1,400.00 and they said know. Took my truck to my shop and they pulled the transmission and found that they took a wizzy wheels to all machined parts and did not install the 3&4 clutch packs. The new transmission was so bad the shop asked me to get a different core. It is really bad when you order a transmission and spend all the time and money ($3,800.00) on a new transmission and it does not work and the service you get will cover their work but won't cover the shipping when it is their fault. They know how to play this game. This is not a reputable company.

The buying process went pretty smoothly, but once it shipped they didn't seem to care anymore. I had questions right away after the install about how it didn't seem to engage properly and felt a bit off. Their only response was to send it back for a warranty check at my expense. Wasn't worth doing that so gave up and figured for a 25 year old truck it was all I was going to get. A year later and I find out the torque converter I got from them was probably defective and the source of the issues. Tried reaching out to find out if there was anything they could do but they won't respond. So another thousand plus dollars and hopefully now it will be fine. The transmission itself always seemed to work.
Called for a flexplate to put a 700r4 trans on my chevy 292 inline six engine they got all the info they asked for and said yes we have the correct one we will send it ups right away.7 days later still did not have it i called was told they were waiting on a call from the manufacturer so i told them to cancel the order then thet said wait a minute then they said it just shipped.Three days later i recieved the flexplate and nothing about it was correct wrong crank size wrong bolt pattern etc.I called to demand a return slip waited on hold for 10 nminutes then was told they were closed fri sat sun they could have said that to begin with.Myself and my shop are done with them poor service wrong parts extensive delays something we do not need very disattisfied i would give them NO STARS
I purchased a transmission from these guys and I had a big oil leak. They required me to take it to a certified transmission shop for evaluation and repair. It cost me over $500 to have it fixed. I got a reimbursement check for $275. Avoid these guys or get f**ked.
I've been buying and selling transmissions for years and this is by far the biggest mistake I ever made, when we got the transmission not all the seals were installed and we caught it, we installed the transmission and it went out in 200 miles now we've been sitting on it for weeks because they want it sent back for inspection that they can't even get it picked up, meanwhile my customer is without their vehicle. 20 phone calls later maybe I'll get somewhere but I still got to wait for them to rebuild it and send it back and they don't want to cover fluid or all of the labor costs and that's not fair to the consumer, needless to say if you want a junk transmission and the runaround trying to get a warranty call these guys.
Needed a new valve body assembly for my transmission, I called and stayed on the phone for two hours with Sam to verify the valve body assembly was in stock and it would ship out in a couple of days. Two weeks went by and nothing, i called and they said they did not have the parts in stock. But could build a valve body assembly with some other parts. They said they could have a different valve body assembly sent to me within a couple of days. Another two weeks went by and nothing. By that time, my transmission had failed. A couple of weeks went by, and a valve body assembly showed up in the mail. Now they won't take the part back even though it's still sealed in the package, because they say it was a special order and build custom for my transmission. The transmission is a 4L60E, quite a common transmission. But even though I was promised a part within three days, and it took close to two months to receive it they will not refund. So, I'm stuck with a $1000 valve assembly that I can no longer use. I strongly urge you to stay away from this company.
I new I wanted a build transmission to handle my ls base swap to be reliable to hold up to my power and only name I could think of was monster we had sum hiccups but monsters amazing customer service handled everything promptly with amazing service to get everything taking care of! To make sure they have a very satisfied customer! They went above and beyond to make my dream car complete with a monster transmission! Thank you all for everything u have a customer for life! Special should put to Lucas s for going above and beyond to get my flexplate figured out very promptly awsomr job guys keep up the amazing job
