WARNING! I made a mistake and ordered 2 dresses and a jacket from Modlily (I found them advertising on Facebook). I placed the order a month ago. They charged my credit card and that's the last I've heard from them. I never received any of the items. I've tried to contact customer service, but they do not respond. Before you make a mistake like I did know that Modlily is part of a group of on-line scammers based in China. I've reported their page to Facebook as a scam, but I have not gotten any response from Facebook. It's a shame that Facebook still allows them to advertise.
My husband ordered a top for me on 11/22/16. It is now 1/4/17 and it has still not arrived. The customer service is a joke, and the only way to get a refund is to appeal to Paypal. Just don't!
Sizes are inaccurate and workmanship is poor. Pictures are deceiving. Company gives you the run around. You pay return shipping to China AND they charge 40% to recover their shipping. This, you get only 69% (theoretically). NEVER buy from them.
This company is horrible! They sent me 2 items 3-4 sizes too small, then $#*!ed me around for a month claiming that it was cheaper to make a deal. I told them I didn't care whatever worked, but that they needed to pay for the return shipping and that I did not want the products. I did not see the point. After I filed the chargeback with my cc, they apparently posted a response after i charged back and claimed that I would have to pay for the shipping and would only be refunded 60% of the product,
So not do business with them! If you like a garment take a picture to a local seamstress and let them make it. You will have a lot less headaches.
Ordered middle of December. Just came today. The item stinks. After seeing reviews I doubt that trying to return it is worth the effort. It is a convoluted process. I'll just take the loss and chalk it up to a learning experience. But I can warn others to stay FAR away from this rip off joint.
I ordered a dress on 11-21-16. Here it is 1-3-17 and still no dress. I ordered this for my daughter to wear to church Christmas Eve and we ended up having to buy something else. Tracking on this provides no useful information as most is in Chinese and the tracking stops on 12-1-16. I created a "ticket" through there website and have been given the run around. First it was stuck in customs, then it was the tracking doesn't update every day please give it time, then it was we have contacted logistics, then it was the weather. I honestly don't think they have shipped. I have escalated to a claim with Paypal and hopefully I can get my money back.
After multiple contacts with Modlily, refused to give full refund. I now have contacted paypal who will recoup my money from Modlily account in 10 days.
Whoever took their photos did a great job, but the seamstresses are amateurs. I ordered 3 things. Not one of them is recognizable from the pictures. Poor stitchwork, poor customer service. I won't be doing this again. Lesson learned!

I felt I had to come back and add this: Now that I've had the clothes a few days I don't hate them as much. I did a little adjusting to the hemline of one of the dresses, wore it, and got lots of compliments. I also like the coat better now that the wrinkles have fallen out.
I think because American shoppers typically buy their clothes off the rack, it's very disconcerting to have your clothes arrive folded in wrinkles.
Even though the stitching isn't stellar, the low price makes it tolerable. For those reasons, I'm raising my rating to a 3.
I ordered 2 sweaters on Dec. 3rd for Christmas presents and everytime I check the tracking status (a joke). It says the same thing... it has been shipped and was in China somewhere. This status hasn't changed at all and it's now 1/2/17. I sent an email ticket inquiring about it and all I get is the same response... it's been shipped. Im so furious and after looking at all the reviews (after the fact) I don't anticipate receiving good quality clothing much less getting my order for quite some time if at all.
SCAM! Ordered in October and it is now January. They said they will refund 60% of my price. I contacted Paypal. Hopefully they will get them shut down.
I ordered a dress 8 weeks ago and havent recieved it as of yet. They say it is held up at customs. I told them to send it by post or refund my money. Havent heard back from them since.
The dress I ordered is made from poor quality fabric but after an hour of trying I am unable to return the item or contact customer service as the site won't accept my order number as correct.
Save yourself the grief of trying to return or exchange the shoddy merchandise that is nothing like what was advertised. They should be banned from Facebook - once they take your money they will never respond to you again.

The quality of all items ordered are very, very poor and NOWHERE NEAR the correct size.
I knew I'd been scammed the second I touched the items. I didn't bother to try and return. Somethings are not worth the trouble. Lesson learned.
My recourse is to simply try and save others from wasting time and money. Run away!
I bought a top for my daughter for Christmas and waited 3 weeks never got here till after Christmas and also it was so big poor quality terrible customer service can't even get a hold of anybody just a shame that PayPal allows them to do business with them ever again
If you are reading these reviews before ordering you are smarter than I was. I have ordered many nice thing from Zulily and they stand behind what they sell. I ordered a solid color layered dress from ModLily and got one that was the same style but the underdress was a totally different color and fabric. When I contacted them they said they would give me a partial refund if I returned it. So they send me the something that is not what I ordered and I am supposed to pay all the shipping both ways for their mistake? I contacted Paypal and explained the problem to them. They suggested I escalate it from a inquiry to a case which I did. They said I would get a refund if I returned it with tracking at my expense. It wasn't shipped to me with tracking but I agree any seller this dishonest would deny receiving it back unless you have trackable shipping. I then called my credit card company and once I explained to them that what I received did not match what I ordered and that I had offered to return it at the seller's expense the credit card company checked it out and returned all my money to me. Anyone want an ugly dress cheap - you can find this one at Salvation Army.
It is a total fraud. Been 7 weeks... no dress and no refund. Don't believe their c**p about it being customs. They take your money and RUN!
Wish I had been smart enough to read the reviews before ordering! I ordered a sweater that I never received. The FB ad stated it would ship in 2 days! After sending emails requesting a full refund to my PayPal account and asking PayPal to help dispute, they sent me a tracking number for my package that had supposedly just shipped. I have been tracking this package for weeks and even though this company had requested a tracking number, the package had not yet shipped to the shipping company. Ten days later, it still hasn't left the company! My email from Modlily states the package has shipped and is on its way and the next sentence asks me to be patient because they have a lot of orders and my order will be processed as quickly as possible!
The "good" reviews on FB are posted from fake FB accounts - likely from this rip off company!
How do you return this junk?
The color of one blouse looked nothing like the picture and even using their measurements it doesn't fit. The other has a sewing defect in it. I want to return them but don't know how as no one seems to respond.

Answer: You probably received same aweful material that I did but different color and design! My top was advertised as 95% cotton. Modlily LIED. I received a unbelievably ugly top in polyester. I wouldnt give it away to my worst enemy. I ordered through Paypal who has a new division solely dedicated to Modlily returns and complaints! Paypal will get my money back and I will be posting all over the interner to warn people of these chinese thieves!
