DON'T GO WITH mint mobile!
May 27, 2023

So-called "support" are all robots even though they "say" you're talking a human. Took me 7 days to get ACTIVATION and I STILL can't receive phone calls. I've spent hours and hours trying to get the multiple issues resolved, they even brought me to tears. Run run away from Mint Mobile!

After several calls to customer service, several wasted hours with no remedy for my dropped call issues, about 15 of them, I gave up and switched to another provider. I'm out about $150 for 1 week of terrible phone service and the phone which I bought from Mint, which I only used about half of because I got disconnected on several occasions! Find a reputable provider, not Mint!

VERY DISAPPOINTED
May 23, 2023

I work for a non-profit that helps victims of domestic violence so I am frugal with our funds. My husband switched over to Mont Mobile so I thought I would try it for our agency. Unfortunately there were issues with the phone that I was trying to transfer the service to and it didn't work. I contacted Mint Mobile customer service to cancel the subscription, (I paid for a year in advance) and they basically said "too bad". I am very disappointed in their service and lack of cooperation to refund my money. All I asked for was 11 months refunded back to me as it had been less than a week and I was agreeable to paying for the first month even though I NEVER used their service. I WILL NOT RECOMMEND MINT MOBILE

I bought a new phone with mint mobile service for my son, it was stolen. I Contacted mint mobile, and they would not let me long in to my account. They kept saying I need to give them five phone numbers from that I called from the phone. I never used the phone and it was no other way to access my account on line. That's ridiculous not able to give them information from my email and credit card to access my account, when I never used the phone, my son live out of state. They need to find another way to access our accounts; I am cancelling my server and have to wait until my service run out, in the meanwhile somebody {the thief} has free service.

TMobile hasn't completed the buy out yet but the customers are already feeling the burn. Service has gone to crap already. No network, slow speeds and just plan unreliable. Already ordered my new sim card from a competitor bye bye MINT. Was a super satisfied customer for two years. And Ryan you let us down! Typical celebrity BS. I wouldn't recommend MINT or TMobile. Been a customer of both and TMobile's customer service is complete garbage. On the phone for over 3hrs total just to find out my data usage because the app is really just a gateway to their phone number. And "we can't find you in the system". Finally said this isn't worth it cancel my TMobile hotspot. Image if I had a real issue.

When I purchased a new phone and plan from MintMobile for my son, the sales agent confirmed that I will get the credit for getting a new customer since I was already a customer. However, when my son activated his plan and I contacted MintMobile to get the credit, they refused to give me the credit. They said that they would only do that for a new plan, not for buying the phone and the plan together. The sales agent clearly told me that I would get the credits. Moreover, it is not clearly stated on their website that that is not the case. So beware of this deception by MintMobile.

I signed up for a Mint Mobile account three weeks ago (paying 3 months in advance) and in all that time I was unable get my phone service set up. There was nothing out of the ordinary going on here - just the inability of the customer service people in the Philippines to set up the account. I had to repeat myself endlessly, explain what I wanted to do over and over again, and ask for supervisors with no success. I eventually I just gave up, cancelled the account and demanded a refund. What a complete waste of time.
This is the worst customer service I have ever encountered - period.

Decent inexpensive service until I went abroad. A planned trip to Italy prompted me to add $20 to my account to cover roaming charges. While in Italy I could not roam at all. Four calls to four different morons reading from scripts solved nothing. One had me clear my internet history so I lost all my Wifi and Bluetooth connections to places I work, visit, friends' homes, etc. One had me switch the airplane mode on and off which had the result of disconnecting us immediately. No service for 10 days other than Wifi in hotels. Upon returning I spent another 2 hours on the phone just trying to get my $20 back which they denied. The company's customer service is pure gamesmanship. I think they want to see how long I would stay on the line as they put me on hold six times to check with their adviser, then come back online and repeat the entire conversation back to me.
I am paid in full for the year but am looking at other companies to switch to. Here's the message I received after they told me I would receive the $20 back. Made-up nonsense.

I called their customer service before signing up. It was hard to understand their representatives. When we were done I was not sure what I had. Their service did not work in parts of Montana as the calls were picked up by Canadian cell towers and not recognizes as a US call. I tried to get called in Europe and bought their and payed for time to do so as told me by
Their. Customer service. For 30$ I got about three minutes of use before I was told my time was used up. I complained about it when I got home and was told "sorry we don 't know what went wrong." I do not trust them any more at all.

Worst experience with a service provider ever. The customer service reps just follow a script and hangs up on you when they can't solve a problem after pretending to ask you to be on hold. This has happened like 10 times over the course of calling them. First, their service blocked a number of 2fa SMS texts such that I could not log into my bank accounts. Then after all the trouble I had to go through with no resolution, I gave up and returned the iphone I purchased along with the plan. After 6 days of receiving the item, they still did not process the refund, and all they said was the item is "being investigated" in their warehouse, while I am still paying interest every day to Affirm for the purchase of an item I never got to use. Never sign up with these people!

I switched services mid April. I was using their temporary number. I had to chat in to get my number ported -- no big deal. But they didn't actually fix it. My number never worked. I have called and chatted 5 times over the last week; no one could tell me what was wrong and no one fixed it. They also never opened a ticket to resolve the issue on their end. I had to repeatedly reach out and open a ticket. It wasnt until I asked for a refund that they were willing to open a ticket and have someone call me in 24/48 business hours.

Worst carrier ever i never write reviews but i had to on this one because they need to be shut down seriously, i have never been so stressed to the point where i cry talking on the phone. They have the worse customer service ever. Never again like ever… save urself the trouble because they suck. And none of the customer service representatives can speak english correctly which makes it almost impossible to understand them on the phone and they dont have a store… like literally the worst experience ever. They gave me wrong information like 5 times and i was supposed to get my sim card days ago but it still hasn't arrived… ive been without service for 3 days because they said my sim card would come the next day so i went ahead and transferred my old number to mint… then come to fund out they didn't expedite my package so its taking its sweet time. DO NOT SWITCH TO THIS CARRIER U WILL REGRET IT

The fact Mint went all out promoting 50% off ( buy 3 months get 3 months free) and ended it right before it was bought by Tmobile says it all. You dont see Ryan Reynolds promoting Mint now, thats because he made out with a cool 300+ million after the merger lol.

The service area in Reno NV is god awful. 1 Avg bar literally 75% of the time. NO 5G SERVICE EITHER. Numerous missed calls, undeliverable texts.list goes on.
Setting up your phone with Mint is a nightmare,...errors galore.

Makes you realize saving a few hundred bucks to switch from a big provider to Mint is definately, without a doubt, not worth it. Dont do it lol...we're done with this *******@tshow of a company soon as the 6 months are up.

I should have really done more research on this cell service. If I would have known they use T Mobile as their cell tower carrier, I WOULD HAVE PASSED IN A SECOND. They hook you with cheap prices but at the end of three months, they go up. I really thought dropped calls or no reception was a thing in the past. NOT WITH MINT. I can't use my cell phone in a lot of the stores and hospitals I have been in. Probably because of T Mobile gives the scraps,or tower use to the smaller cell services who use their towers. Ironically, I just noticed T Mobile owns Mint now. I have another month of the pre service I bought with Mint abd once that is up for renewal...GOOD BYE! And no switching over to them isn't as easy as Ryan Reynolds brags about. If you don't understand the CELL JARGON it will be trying to your patience. I guess I'll shop a cell service who uses Verizon for the tower service. And NO...I am not promoting Verizon either. LAst, DO YOUR RESEARCH FIRST and don't drink the Koolaid, like I did.

I paid for a plan in November 2022, and for the past 4 days cannot call out or receive calls. Mint tells me they are working on the problem but nothing is getting fixed and they are refusing to give me back any money. They are a scam, do not use them

Got a plan After they said the phone that I had and the area I was in was good. After trouble Shooting for 2 weeks When the network would work right. They finally told me that I would never be able to get any High speed Data where I lived. I would only be able to talk in text which made the plan useless and not what I Paid up front for 3 months. They would not issue me a refund.

On a trip to the British Isles I planned to make calls for taxis and hotels and to use data (Google maps) by adding roaming credits $20 at a time. After two weeks, I could not add anymore credits because Mint Mobile has a limit of $100 per month in roaming credits. So I was left high and dry in a foreign country on a long holiday weekend with no phone service. Customer service was no help, plus due to the 8 hour time difference they were not available when I needed them most. In the USA the service has been fine. Customer service suggested Wi-Fi calling but my IPhone 13 is not compatible according to Mint Mobile's website.

Mint Mobile is a HORRIBLE company full of liars as their customer service representatives. Don't get me wrong, they are very friendly but every single one of them has lied to me in saying they have handled my return case and paid affirm but yet affirm is still saying that they have NOT been paid back, therefore still holding me accountable to make payments on a phone that was returned back to the company and never even taken out of its package! I have been calling back and forth for FOUR months now. And nothing has been resolved! Mint mobile is the most bogus company to deal with, it's been a disaster from the start and has really put me through so much added stress that is unnecessary.
