We were moving from the Midwest to Houston. Initially when i contacted them there was pressure to lock the deal. Very cordial and very prompt Mr. *. We sent a video, did face time with him to show the details of the house.,we also sent individual photos of each room fro moving. A week before the move mr. * calls me and says the price is higher for the move as there was more to move. They had clear photos of every room including the garages. We did not have a choice. So we agreed. The driver for the move comes on may 24th and says that he cannot pack because he wanted more money. He increased the cost of the move. He would not start packing till i paid him the price in cash. So this company incredibly bullied you and left you in desperate position that if you did not pay they would cancel the move. Extremely stressful and being put in Avery negative situation. So from the original estimates given they charged me a 50 percent increase. Then we could not follow where the Furniture was. No responses. They moved my furniture from one truck to another truck and warehouse. Tracking. Your move was not known. They would not tell no matter what.Furniture arrives on June 16th. A few broken pieces, some mattresses that are not ours showed up. Some items were missing. I got angry at the driver who delivered the furniture who demanded that cash be paid of the remaining balance, before he would deliver the furniture. They started unloading at 7.30 pm and this went on till midnight. They than took off without doing the job reassembly. We paid for a white glove transfer package that included. Packing and unpacking and reassemble which the rigged. Upon. Driver was rude as well with his responses for my questions about the damaged goods. Our continued attempts to reach them was a disaster. No responses that were timely and continued way of disowning any responsibility on their part for broken pieces and someone else's mattress being delivered. We had to hire local helpers to reassemble the furniture.This is what we went through in the move with Midland van lines. Never ever would trust this company to move given our experience.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Similar to reviews below I was promised that my move would not be Brokered and it was. There were 3 weeks where Midland could not get in touch with the movers of my items and just did not know where my stuff was. They promised 48 hours notice before delivery, and instead I got a call on a Wednesday from a mover saying they'd be there in about an hour. Once I rescheduled the date for a day I could be at my house, the movers did not show up I was told they "could not guarantee the delivery date".

I was gravely mis-quoted for my move- being told it would be no more than $6,000 after I gave an accurate inventory and overestimated the boxes from their suggested amount. I ended up paying more than $15,000- being told that I "just had a lot more items" than they had thought and the quote was based on the square footage. At one point I was told outright I either would need to pay an extra $1,000, rent my own U-Haul to pick up my items from a parking lot where they would meet me, or they would hold onto my stuff and charge me for storage because their truck couldn't go on the two-laned paved road that semi-trucks drive on all the time on my street. A box was missing and some furniture was broken/boxes were severely damaged.

I was very keen to go back to my hometown after living alone for 4 years. The problem was that I had collected so many things over the years that I just had to hire a moving company. That's where Midland van lines came in. They have such a good reputation that I just had to hire them. I have to give it to them, they really performed well. Their men arrived right on time and were very efficient. They worked diligently for hours packing up all my belongings properly. Then they loaded everything onto the vans. Honestly, I didn't really have to do anything. If paying someone for this job makes my life so easy, I will always do it.

I hired Midland van lines for their low quote despite reading some bad reviews about them. Frankly, I was expecting problems and issues given how some people bashed them in their reviews. When the men arrived at my home, I thought they were very professional and well equipped. They took such a short time in packing and loading my stuff to their vans. All of my breakables were neatly packed and they were extra delicate while handling them. They delivered my valuables right on schedule. I don't care what others have to say about these guys. In my opinion, Midland van lines is the best moving company.--

Was sold "White Glove" Service with full pack move and unpack. They say and there website advertised A+ from the BBB and 5 starts from Google. Was told they don't use brokers and Midland Van Lines Trucks and Employees wearing Midland shirts will do the move. Will be 4 guys to pack/load and unpack. All of the above was a lie. They don't even have a Google Review page, and they have terrible rating from the Better Business Bureau. They used brokers for everything, and no Midland Truck. They had 3 guys for packing before one had to leave to go to the dentist. They arrived late and went well past the scheduled elevator time in the building. Couldn't get anyone to respond to my VM's and emails for scheduling the move in. Got a text from someone that wouldn't talk to me because he didn't speak good english and had to use a translator on a Sunday almost 2 weeks later saying he will be there in the hour. I said we have to schedule with the property. Worked it out to deliver on Tuesday. Midland then contact me to charge me for the extra storage days. On Tuesday the texter shows up with no help. Just him, and says he wants the final third payment in cash otherwise he is going to drive off. Says don't pay Midland as if you do they will not pay me. Talked to Midland and they said don't pay him (even though the contract says to pay him on arrival). Says pay us directly and then we will let him know to start the move. I said we need more guys. Midland says we will get more guys after you pay us. Driver days I am driving off if you pay them. We found a random guy and hired him to help. Paid the driver and then moved. Anything and everything that was large was broken in some way. 2 legs off a chaise lounge. Entire leg off of an antique desk, etc... Midland Van Lines refused to cover anything.

Hire Midland van lines and moving will be fun and easy! I hired them a month ago and I do not regret it for a second. The moving team came on time on the day of the move. Trust me when I say this, they are very friendly and kind. You will love their company! They will move all your things with great care and before you know it, everything will be ready to go in no time. They are very professional and efficient too. They moved me without any damage at all. I really like this moving company! I will use them again.

You will not be disappointed if you hire Midland van lines! They are very good and very efficient. They will move you without any problems or damages. They have low rates and it does not change in the end. My husband and I hired them last month for our long distance move and they really did well. All of our things were nicely packed and moved. They made sure everything was delivered the way it was and they also made sure they did not damage the new floors. The best part about them is that they listen to you. They will do exactly what you say! We had a great experience! We highly recommend them to all.

My wife and I hired this moving company to move us cross country and they aced it! They were just perfect! We got a great deal from their sales rep and he sent a very good crew on the day of the move. The moving boys were very professional, decent, efficient and caring. All the fragile items, valuables, breakables and furniture were nicely packed and moved. It was all delivered within the given time and nothing was damaged at all. My wife really liked them because they did not break any of her stuff and the guys also helped with the china cabinets. We really had a good experience. We will use Midland van lines again!

BEWARE! Exact nightmare people say to avoid. But I was under severe stress - my father had just died. I called, had the EXACT description of all the furniture, received a quote from a very nice person. Movers arrive and OF COURSE! Say that the estimate was WAY TOO LOW and that it would be $1800 MORE!
When questioned the answer was - "well you can just cancel". I had already given them a deposit which of course was NONREFUNDABLE! Then is was over 3 weeks for delivery. RIP OFF!
Just glad the furniture arrived: wood was skinned off and the edges but at least the TV was undamaged.

I called several moving companies. Some companies were too expensive and charged high prices for the small things. When talking to the representatives they did not thoroughly explain the pickup and delivery dates, which totally confused me. They did not return calls in a timely manner which made it difficult for me to plan my move. When I called Midland van lines,they thoroughly explained what to expect and it made it easy for me to plan my move. The price was reasonable and the movers were friendly and professional. I would recommend Midland van lines to all of my friends and family.

I thought moving would be a disaster because I hired a moving company that I had no knowledge about. I expected the worst and just went on with it. But I did not know this moving company would impress me instead. They were amazing! All the people were professional, efficient and caring. They moved all the furniture very nicely and gently. These guys from Midland van lines moved me so well that I still can't believe it. They were right on time and very smoothly moved me out of my old place. All the furniture, glassware, expensive items and fragile items were nicely protracted. They delivered on time and everything was intact! Not even a scratch! My friend told me about Midland van lines when I was looking for a reliable moving company. I got their number from him and called them. I got a great deal from the sales guy and booked my move with divine moving. Their movers did the job with ease. They arrived at my place on time, did the packing flawlessly and moved them to their destination without any hiccups. They always seemed to have control over the situation and they had their own innovative ways which saved our time and money. These guys delivered what they said and also saved us few bucks by providing free boxes for the packing. I appreciate their service and recommend them.

Worst moving company I have ever dealt with, will steal your deposit; inflate prices and never communicate. Avoid this terrible company like the plague that it is and never pay a deposit for a move before hand. Live and learn and avoid midland van lines..

They lie about everything, from cost to delivery time, to ways to pay.
They want all the money up front before you can see how they destroyed your items.
They think 21 business days between pick up and delivery is no problem. Because everyone can live without all of their stuff for a month. And don't try to resolve it, they just lie even more and threaten to cancel the contract and put your stuff up for auction.
They literally hold your whole life hostage.
I've never met a company that only takes cash on delivery, is it because they tear up so much stuff that they know you can dispute their shoddy services?

I was a bit nervous at first while hiring a new moving company. My brother recommended Midland van lines to me. As there are many shady stories about moving companies elsewhere across the internet, I only depended on my brother's suggestion and I was right. The team came on time and made everything ready to move within four hours of their arrival. It was like they emptied the apartment by some machine without any fault. No scratch on the wall, floor or anywhere else! The guys not only just loaded and moved our belongings but they assembled and maneuvered our furniture at our new place too! They are just like heroes to me and my family! I highly recommend them too!

From the first phone call, I was impressed by this company. Last time I asked my two cousins for help and my table got damaged. This time I decided to do it in a different way. Their sales rep explained everything thoroughly so on the moving day, three guys came and packed all my furniture. Packing was done in a couple of hours. I did not have a lot of things and my move was done quickly. These guys were really speedy. They were promptly, efficient and professional and I only paid the amount I was told by their sales rep during our first conversation. No hidden fees or charges! This is the worst moving company. They under quoted us then when they had us in a last minute crunch upped the price by 2,000.00. They broke my grandmother's antique chest and promised to fix it but when our stuff arrived they never did. They don't return your calls or emails. When you do talk to someone they are rude or hang up on you. This company doesn't care about you there all about the money. When our things were delivered my family had to help unload there was only the driver, no movers. This has been nothing but stress with this company. Take your chance but you'll be sorry.
