I hired Midland to move my mother's belongings from NC to CA after she passed away in December 2023. They took about 40 days and on the day they were supposed to deliver I called to find out why they were late. Then the driver told me the truck was stolen. I had an AirTag in one of the boxes and was able to find where the truck was deserted, after my Mom's life belongings were torn apart and sent out to thieves, pawn shops, and wherever else. I was able to find some of it in an abandoned alleyway/homeless encampment but not much. Midland apparently subcontracted to outfits and cannot tell me who they gave our belongings too. I have yet to get police reports or any other documentation. Plus they made me pay owed and more to turn my few belongings over to me. Demanded cash and would not give a receipt. Terribly, terribly, wrong. And I am heartbroken over losing so much of my Mom's life and my memories. They never bothered to let me know….
The first driver said he would be at our apartment at 9:00 and didn't show up until 12:00. No phone call, I had to call him to find out when he would be arriving. I gave a very specific inventory list and they entered it wrong which I had to pay an increased deposit on despite the inaccuracy. When the driver arrived he charged us an additional $900.00 for things we were told were included in the estimate. Upon delivery our driver told us he would be at the apartment at 10:00 and only when I called him did he tell me it would be 12:00. He didn't show up until 4:30 and then tried to charge us more money despite being told the price would not increase. Our property was broken and we were missing two items. We were told to file a claim but the paperwork was ineligible and we don't even know what we need to file a claim on. Do not use this moving company.
I recently used Midland van lines for a long-distance move, and I am compelled to share my overwhelmingly positive experience. From start to finish, their commitment to professionalism, efficiency, and customer satisfaction was truly exceptional. The team demonstrated a level of expertise that immediately put me at ease. The process began with a thorough and transparent assessment of my moving needs, ensuring that all aspects of the move were considered. The detailed planning and communication prior to the moving day were indicative of their dedication to providing a seamless experience. On the moving day itself, the crew arrived promptly and wasted no time in getting to work. Their efficiency and coordination were remarkable, and they handled every aspect of the move with the utmost care. The full-service package I opted for truly lived up to its name, as the team took care of everything from packing and loading to transportation and unloading. One of the standout aspects of my experience with them was the professionalism and courtesy exhibited by their entire team. Each member of the crew was not only skilled in their tasks but also approachable and eager to address any concerns I had. Their friendly demeanor made the inherently stressful process of moving much more manageable. Furthermore, the company's commitment to the safety of my belongings was evident throughout the entire journey. Not a single item was damaged or misplaced, and everything arrived at the destination in the same condition it left. In addition to their operational excellence, they also impressed me with their transparent and competitive pricing. The quote provided at the beginning of the process accurately reflected the final cost, and there were no hidden fees or surprises. In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend Midland van lines to anyone in need of a reliable and professional moving company. Their dedication to customer satisfaction, coupled with their skilled and courteous team, make them a standout choice for long-distance moves. I am grateful for the positive experience they provided during a time that can be inherently stressful, and I would not hesitate to entrust them with any future moves.
Moving is often a chaotic whirlwind, a maelstrom of boxes, logistics, and sheer exhaustion. But for my recent relocation, I stumbled upon a hidden oasis in the moving desert: Midland van lines. From the initial quote to the final box placement in my new home, they were an absolute symphony of professionalism, efficiency, and, dare I say it, joy in the midst of the moving madness. First things first, let's talk about money. Their quote was refreshingly transparent. No surprise fees lurking in the shadows, no bait-and-switch tactics. Their initial estimate held true throughout the entire process, a welcome relief in the world of inflated moving costs. Now, I'm not the neatest packer. My packing skills are more akin to a toddler's enthusiastic finger painting than organized efficiency. They were packing Picasso's! They arrived like a well-oiled machine, transforming my chaotic pile of belongings into perfectly labeled, Tetris-worthy boxes. They treated each item with respect and care, from the grandmotherly china to the well-worn childhood teddy bear. Watching them work was a master class in packing efficiency and organization. Moving day itself could have been a logistical nightmare, but the crew made it a breeze. They arrived on time, brimming with energy and good humor. They handled the heavy furniture with the grace of ballet dancers, navigating tight corners and awkward doorways like seasoned park experts. And throughout it all, they were a joy to be around! They cracked jokes, shared stories, and even helped me wrangle my overly excited dog (who, needless to say, was also on the move). It felt more like having friends over to help than hired professionals. The customer service was like a perfectly tuned orchestra. Every call was answered promptly, every question addressed with patience and clarity. They kept me informed at every step of the process, from the initial quote to the final delivery. They even checked in after everything was settled to make sure I was happy and adjusted. It felt like they genuinely cared about my experience, not just about getting the job done. In conclusion, my experience wasn't just a move; it was a masterpiece. They exceeded my expectations at every turn, making what could have been a stressful ordeal a surprisingly smooth and even pleasant experience. If you're looking for a moving company that offers reasonable rates, professional packing and moving services, a friendly and helpful crew, and top-notch customer service, then look no further than this company. They're not just movers; they're moving maestros.
I used Midland Van Lines to move from Seattle WA to Washington DC.
They lost a valuable piece of art. Opened my 3 wardrobe boxes and jammed all my closes. Hats and shoes into one box! Midland Van Lines has acknowledged the loss and damage but refused compensation. I have been forced to hire a lawyer to obtain compensation.
Adrian is a complete jerk and wasted my time. He sounded great on the phone but when I looked up his company I found really bad reviews of his company so I decided to not go with him. When he called me back I didn't feel like saying "your reviews are awful and your company failed my due-diligence process" so I said I answered and spoke to him for 30 seconds and told him I went with another company and he gets pissed off and says "wow thanks for wasting my time" and hangs up on me. This is the level of customer service they have for you. Once you can't pay them, they tell you to "F Off". Adrian is a terrible person and you shouldn't trust him or this company. I found so many websites with bad reviews with mid van lines and I also found multiple BBB profiles as they create a new one every few years to avoid all the bad ones. Don't fall for their profile scams.
It all started with a phone call, when I called Midland van lines for a quote. It was a long distance move, so I was a little worried about the process. But their sales rep on the phone immediately put me at ease. He gave me hope that nothing would be damaged. He was very responsive and attentive and did his best to work out the best deal for me. Later that day their onsite estimator came to my house for the estimate. The estimated price was within my budget. So, I booked the move with them, booking process was very easy. All the paperwork is done in no time. On the moving day the team of 4 men arrived on time and did a fantastic job packing all my belongings. They handled all the valuables, delicate and fragile items with great care. They did use quality packing materials and double checked everything before loading. Everything arrived in one piece and in pristine condition at the other end and within the allotted time. And the final bill was identical with the estimated amount. There was no issue whatsoever. I can only recommend this fine company.
DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY! JAMIE IS A LIAR AND A THIEF. HE TELLS YOU WHATEVER YOU WANT TO HEAR JUST TO GET YOUR MONEY. THEY DO NOT GUARANTEE DROP OFF DATES AND THEY WILL CHANGE YOUR QUOTE MULTIPLE TIMES AFTER YOU'VE ALREADY SIGNED, PAID AND PROMISED THE PRICE WONT CHANGE. THEY ALSO WON'T PICK UP THE PHONES AFTER YOU REALIZE YOU'VE BEEN SCAMMED. THIS COMPANY SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN. I WISH I WOULDVE LISTENED TO THESE OTHER REVIEWS. RUN!
We talked to many moving companies before our last move and finally hired Midland van lines only because their quote seemed the most rational. I wasn't expecting a royal treatment but what I got was nothing short of extraordinary. The movers arrived right on time to start moving our belongings. They wasted no time in packing everything neatly. The whole thing was done in just 3 hours. I have rarely seen such efficiency before in my life. The delivery was made on time and all my valuables traveled very well. I will definitely hire them again.
They gave me one estimate of $3600 to move from Colorado to Connecticut and instantly it became $5700 when they got to my house. This is after I actually sold three giant items out of what they based the estimate based on. So less cubic feet should've been a lot less money, not $2,100 over what they quoted. It's been a month since I've been here, and Daniella from customer service is not calling back. Each time I call she insists that she called and left me a message. She was supposed to look at the "bill of lading" since I signed it, that's what she'll go by.
I insisted when they got there that there's no way for me to measure cubic feet or confirm it. If I want to move, I better sign it.
It's all a lie.
They broke my furniture. Broke expensive dishes. The guy that delivered the furniture in CT yelled at me, and I'm pretty sure he is the one that hit my car when I saw it after they left.
Do yourself a favor, DON'T USE THEM. Liars.
Before moving out of Denver to Miami, we contacted 4 moving companies and finally decided on Midland van lines. They quoted us the best price and it was the only company that had the storage options that were the best fit for us. The sales rep was responsive and willing to answer all our questions, but the packers arrived 1 hour late for the packing. They should have informed us about the delay earlier in the morning. However they did a decent job packing all the fragile and delicate items. The moving process was easy. We received our belongings in good condition. There were few scratches here and there but that was a minor issue. Overall they did better than the last company that moved us long distance. I am pleased with the way everything turned out.
We moved to another state a few days ago. Midland van lines was the company that we selected to be our moving carrier. I hired them because we needed a reliable company, and our move was happening on short notice - luckily they had the availability. I hired them for the full service packing. They did pretty well overall. While packing one of my kitchen items, I had to ask one of the packers to use more bubble wrap on one of my large pitchers, and called on the foreman to assist. A couple pieces of kitchen glassware arrived broken, but they did provide compensation for it. Overall this company did a good job but could have packed some kitchen glassware a bit better.
I was told it would be 4-14 business days to get my belongings. But they can take up 21 business days. It is 20 business days and still no delivery and their "customer care" woman is useless.
I was just so stressed out about this move. Midland van lines is a good moving company which lends a helping hand during these stressful times. I called them and they seemed to be very thorough with the questions. They called me back very quickly with a quote which seemed reasonable enough. Their men arrived on time on the moving day. I was quite delighted to see the men at work. They were very skilled at packing my breakables. They loaded everything very expertly onto their vans. I received all my things on the scheduled delivery day and everything was in very good condition. I am quite pleased with how everything went during this move.
I hired Midland van lines in such a rush basically because I had to move on a three days' notice. Frankly, I was expecting problems and issues just like any move. When the men arrived at my home, I thought they were very professional and well equipped. They took such a short time in packing and loading my stuff to their vans. They even helped with the furniture I was going to leave behind; they gave me the phone number of a very good charity. They delivered my valuables right on schedule. I think I got either really lucky with this company or they really are a trustworthy and reliable moving company.
I went to a furniture store a couple of years back and ended up buying some very unusually shaped, but very expensive, pieces of furniture. Parting with them wasn't an option. So I hired Midland van lines to move them. I required the crew to be creative and careful with my pieces. They were exactly that. The crew of four men, who arrived on time, was very efficient and capable. They brought a lot of packing materials with them and put them to creative use while packing my unusual pieces. They were careful with them while loading onto the vans. Other breakables of mine were put neatly into boxes. They delivered all my belongings on time. They unpacked everything and put them in places. Nothing was broken and I was a happy man.
Nothing holds true from their promises. I don't want to say this but the way they are doing business is really, really dishonest and full of cheating. I definitely will tell my acquaintants to avoid them at any cost. May God punish them, sooner or later.
I do have a lot of stuff and so when I had to relocate from Denver, CO to Austin, TX, I was very nervous. I wasn't going to leave anything behind for sure. So, I hired Midland van lines to handle the move. This company is just amazing. When I called them, they gave me a very reasonable quote and the guy on the phone seemed very understanding. They confirmed the crew's arrival time two days earlier so I could be prepared. The crew arrived sharp on time. They were properly equipped and got to work immediately. They worked very efficiently for 3 hours packing all my stuff with great care and precision. They did use all the essential packing materials. Frankly, I had nothing to do during this move. They delivered my belongings on time and everything arrived safely. They unpacked everything and put them where I directed them to. Everything went very smoothly during this move.
Midland van lines has really proven how capable they are during my move. I had heard about this company before. But working with them was a whole different experience. They seemed so professional and helpful when I called them on the phone. It was really easy to get a quote and the number seemed very fair to me. They sent over four movers on the moving day who were all properly equipped. They used their tools properly to pack up my 3-bedroom house in under 2 hours. I paid them for the whole 2 hours. There were no glitches while loading the van and soon they were off to the destination. The delivery was made on the first scheduled day sharp at 10 am. I don't know how they manage to work so efficiently. But Midland van lines is definitely the top moving company in the country.
It's never fun having to wrap up your life into boxes and move states. But life makes you do that more often than you desire. As first time movers, we figured it's way easier to just hire a moving company to do the job. Moving is a hard job and no one understands it better than Midland van lines. They were absolutely fantastic during our move. Their quote was low and the movers arrived on time. All four men had the guns to pull off a massive move like ours. They carried big pieces of furniture as if they weighed nothing. It was almost intimidating to watch these guys in action. They give efficiency a new name. They made the delivery on time and everything arrived in great condition. I really couldn't have asked for more.
Answer: It would have been an extra $30,000 for insurance per my contract with them and, while the items that were damaged and lost were sentimental, they were not actually valuable. My mother passed right before this move and I looked at this company at face value since I didn't have the bandwidth for a deeper dive. I've already contacted their customer service department about the situation and they have said there is nothing they can do.

Dear Tali
Thank you very much for your feedback. Please accept our apology for not being able to serve you in the best possible ways.
Please note that the distance between Colorado to Connecticut is quite a lot. It is nearly impossible to deliver everything in one piece when you have too many breakables. But we are very sorry for the broken pieces.
Now let’s come to the Daniella matter. She made her honest effort to settle the issue with you but unfortunately she was not getting you over the phone. And it is her job to go by the book. She had to go by the signed document by you.
We charged exactly what needed to be charged. We believe in repeat customers. A happy customer always returns and gives more business, recommending to other people. Somehow there is confusion. We would be glad if you call us and discuss the entire matter again or if you can manage to come to our office, have a cup of coffee and sort out all the confusion.
We are always ready to serve you and we wish you a very successful life ahead.
Team Midland Van Lines.
