Bought an expensive bag and within a year the strap has unraveled along the stitching and the trim is falling off... this is quality!?
I called but its past one year so they wont stand behind their product... my TJMax bag lasted longer!

I purchased a wallet online and didnt like it so I exchanged it for a handbag at a local Michael Kors store. Im totally displeased with not receiving full credit for my online purchase due to not getting credit for the tax I paid on the wallet online. It seems like the store representative didnt want to go through the effort of refunding my credit card and then completing the handbag purchase in a separate transaction. I had already completed the transaction, left the store, and was thinking that something didnt seem right. I returned to the store to bring to her attention but she said the tax was credited. It was my mistake to take her word rather than show her the receipts. Im not spending extra time visiting the store to resolve this issue because this simple transaction shouldnt have come down to leaving this poor review. My advice is make sure you read product reviews on the items youre interested in before buying so you dont have to waste your time visiting a physical store and not have a seamless experience.
Its too bad that for the product prices the customer experience doesnt match what a customer pays for.

I usually like to give people the benefit of the doubt and base reviews on my own experience so when I saw some of the complaints against Micheal Kors I decided to give them a shot anyways... Saying that was a mistake was an understatement! I ordered a total of 4 purses and 1 wallet online. The first backpack purse I ordered although new, had 2 very noticeable scratches on the front. I really wanted this purse so although I sent it back, I purchased it from my local store the very next day. I made this purchase on 5/21 and still have not received a refund. The other purse was picked up in the store as well so I was able to see it before I actually took it. Today I just received a purse and wallet I purchased in two separate orders on different days and both of them came damaged and USED. The purse (which is usually a $358 dollar purse) came wrapped in only the dust bag. The tag was cut off and placed in the purse. The purse looked used and was deflating and creasing due to being packaged with no filling. The clasp that closes the purse was scratched and dirty. The wallet came in the same condition wrapped only in a single piece of tissue paper. The material was warped around the MK logo on the front of the wallet and it looks as if it got wet at some point. It is unacceptable for a company, any company, to send items in this condition. But especially a company thats supposed to have higher quality items? I wouldn't expect that from Walmart! Now I have to wait weeks to receive a refund for two items that never should have been sent in that condition to begin with. This is beyond poor service or usual problems you encounter with most businesses occasionally and borders on actual fraud! Please save yourself the trouble and stay away. Coach has similar prices and you would NEVER encounter incidents like this. Once could possibly be an oversight made by a negligent employee but two separate orders made 2 days apart? That should tell you all you need to know about what kind of company this is.

Poor quality

I purchased a pair of sneakers six months ago that contain gold Astor pieces on them. I was only able to use the item a maximum of three times (as I did not use the sneakers during the cold months) before I realized that one of the astor pieces had fallen off, for some unknown reason. This is ridiculous and poor quality. Their company policy is terrible when it comes to warranty. They wont repair the shoe because it has been more than three months, which is also ridiculous. I was a loyal customer of Michael Kors but will no longer be purchasing their products. I dont see how such a well known company can produce a product of such poor quality, and then not even attempt to correct the issue. Instead, they direct me to their repair center to be quoted $50 just for a small replacement piece. What a shame. They will not be receiving my money anymore.

Do not shop online with Michael Kors! They messed up my order and shipped me the wrong item, now i have to go through the hassle of shipping it out and wait for them to send the correct item. Supervisor of E-commerce "Angel" did not try at all to resolve the issue. Absolutely disgusting, how is a person like that a supervisor of CUSTOMER SERVICE, she dont give a $#*! about customers!

Pocket book

They are so nasty, I bought a pocket book in Calf. And I want to return it, they tell me to take it to an outlet there is no outlet in Brooklyn New York, they tell me to travel 60 miles, they are so bad don't ever step in to there stores the are realy nasty and care, I am going to send them a summons thel have to appear in New York

Disgusting service

I am shocked in the customer service i have received!

In November i brought a pair of the burgundy winter wellies and the badge on the back of one has come off, i took my boots to the shop and was told she cannot help me and i need to speak with customer service.

I then got home and emailed the customer service email address with photos of my boots.

Every email i have received is like an automated one, no one actually reading my email nor answering correctly. I got a email saying at my own cost i can send they into the repairs centre! No i have a faulty product and its down to the company to repair esp when within the warranty. The face i have not even been offered a new badge to be sent out to me is evern worse, no attempt at all in helping the situation.

These boots are now nothing, with one boot with a badge and the other with nothing.

It been over a month of emails and still nothing is being done and i have brought many items from Michael Kors and now with this service i will not continue.

I placed an order on December 20th with next day delivery for 30 dollars hoping it would get to me before Christmas but here I am 7 days later and I still hadnt received any information about shipping or tracking. So I called and turns out they canceled my order without even telling me because the shipping I chose wasnt available and now Im going on a trip in 2 days and would like to have to bag but they said it would take 48 hours to reprocess my order and then they could try to ship it as soon as possible. Also sat on the phone for 20 minutes waiting for customer service to answer. DO NOT ORDER IF YOU ARE EXPECTING TO GET YOUR ORDER FAST! Customer service also isnt great or much help at all. I love Michael Kors bags but Im very disappointed after placing this order and the trouble Ive gone through.

SHIPPING TIMES SUCK

Placed an order for Christmas but, lo and behold... did not arrive on time. I will now return both bags since I purchased bags from another designer and they actually shipped and arrived on time. Further, the quality of the other bags is 100x better than MK. His stuff has certainly gone downhill over the past few years. I suppose it is just plain old greed. Stay away.

I purchased a MK zip around wallet for travel. Have used it on 5 short trips and it is totally falling apart. The "gold" on the inside is flaking all over the place. Unfortunately, cannot return, but MK has some serious quality issues. It is no surprise that the brand has fallen sharply and no one want anything MK anymore

I ordered a pair of shoes with a matching clutch on line and unfortunately left the clutch in the packaging as we were moving and I wan't to protect it and as I was packing up my house and knew I wouldn't be dressing up very soon I left it wrapped up and did not look at it as I already had the same in beige and knew I would love it.
We moved into our house then I was away for a month and finally had an event to go to and pulled out the clutch from the wrapping and to my dismay the studs on the purse are gold and on the shoes they are silver. All original wrapping and tags are still on the purse however they said I was over the 30 days. They still have the purse on line but I cannot even get a credit. Never experienced such bad customer service anywhere. THERE IS NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. Lori Dublanica

I ordered a watch link for mk 5726 via a local authorized retailer some 3 weeks ago. My receipt indicates that its available for pick pick up by December 4, and guess what? Looks like i will still have to wait for another week. Hopefully so. What a shame..

Terrible quality handbag

Purchased a crossbody purse seams are coming apart and so is the thin black rubber strip which lines the purse near the zipper. At the time of purchase I was told if for any reason you are dissatisfied we will repair or exchange, your receipt will be on file. I thought, great! Now I have this problem my whole purse is literally falling apart at the seams! To no surprise there was one reason after another my purse would not be repaired and my treatment was brushed off like a cockroach.

I received a purse I did not like the color of. I placed it in a perfect fitting sturdy box to send it back to them. It was much better than huge box they sent me.
A few weeks later I received purse back saying purse was folded in half, damaged and used and it was un returnable. The purse was never folded in half and the purse came back in the same brand new condition I sent it to them in. When I called Michael Kors they said there was nothing they could do since purse was damaged. I explained over and over that it was NOT damaged, not a scratch wrong with it, I'd be happy to send pics etc. They had no interest in helping the situation. I believe they do not want sale items back that are are old styles and harder to sell so they just send it back and claim it is un returnable and it is your word against theirs.
I have a closet full of their clothes, shoes and purses.
They lost a costumer today.

I ordered a bag on 20 July. When I realised that the price was in US$ I cancelled it. I was told that the refund would take 25 working days, It is now September 19 and NO refund has been made in spite of repeated emails. The price was US$59.99 which should have been about $75AU however $85.21 was taken from my account. I am absolutely disgusted with this seller.

I recently sent handbag back to you for repair on the handle (the stitching had come undone). I received news that the handbag could not be repaired or replaced. I was advised that I would have to chose from a small list of handbags that were not to my liking. I will not except this. Especially since you can still purchase this bag online at your store. I want to know what I can do to either receive a credit so that I can repurchase the original bag or credit back my card. They refuse to send my original handbag back and I am now out $400. I cant believe that this is the way a company such as yours would treat their customers. I have many of your items but I will never purchase another item from you until this is made right. I paid for express shipping for a bag and watch which I had to urgently send it to a friend in NYC who was leaving for India the next day. The package was for my mother who is in India and I wanted to send this to her for her birthday. Not only was the package late, the customer service was rude and said they couldn't do anything about it but refund my shipping. Obviously, there is no way to send that package to my mother before her birthday. I am not in NYC so it is super inconvenient for me to ship the package back to Michael Kors for a full refund. I don't understand why I am being inconvenienced because of a commitment that they failed to keep. Horrible horrible horrible!

Worst customer service and return policys in retail history. They have the policy that a order can not be stopped or refunded. You can only receive the bag and then reship it back to them. Even if the item hasnt been shipped yet. For the bags to be 200+ a pop thats absolutely absurd. I find it strange they would rather have the merchandise opended and handled by a consumer rather than just reverse the payment. Ridiculous. Not to mention there call center employees are extremely rude. I asked to speak to the supervisor the man said do you mean Micheal? Like Im nieve enough to believe he has any contact with Micheal Kors. So so so disappointed.
