Quality is Meh

I recieved a beautiful MK purse for Christmas 2016 and while it is stylish & functional, the quality is not what I expect for a $200+ purse. The straps started fraying after only 8 months and when I took it to the store to find out about the warranty, the sales clerk stated "they will probably warranty it but it will happen again, all of our straps do that"

Um, ok... Apparantly they finish the straps with a vinyl paint and over time the paint peels away from the leather.

MK team, you have to find a better way to finish the straps of your handbags. Vinyl paint on leather? Of course it is going to peel away eventually.

My colleague has an MK bag as well, and her straps have done the same thing.

Very dissapointing for a high end handbag. I have $20 purses that have held up better & longer than this $200+ bag.

I have been a loyal customer to Michael Kors for over 6 years now. I decided to purchase a Black Cross-Body this last time around and once I got home I decided it was too small. I had to go out of the country for work but the day I arrived home I took it back to the store to return (I was still within the 30-day time frame). I was given a snotty, condescending attitude by the sales lady and told that the purse was "used," I explained that can't be possible since I was out of town for work and it had been sitting in my closet since. She didn't even pretend to care or listen and simply said: "sorry there is nothing we can do." I was beside myself in shock, what kind of company policy is that?! Especially for a high-end purse store, I had never been treated with such disrespect by any other name-brand stores. I asked if I could exchange the unused bag for a bigger bag and pay the difference and was snubbed completely. I really love MK but this experience left a REALLY bad taste in my mouth and I will not be coming back... EVER. I am going to make sure to tell all of my friends and family how terrible this experience was.

Terrible

I bought shoes from MK and they ripped after not even a month of wearing. I called MK for warranty purposes and they denied my claim. For the price you pay for their products, it's extremely disappointing and would not recommend.

Scam my debit card

I never order anything from them and they charged my card $86.07. Called them and they wont return my money I think there in on this with my card co. Scammers dont buy anything from them

I bought a tote from there website for 96 dollar on sale, macy is selling the same for 73.50. When I called them up they were arrogant and said may be macy is selling defected stuff. They refused to price match also did not cancel my Oder although they had not even shipped it yet. Never buying from them again. Did not expect this from a big brand Kiel michel kors.

Impossible to return item

Horrible service! Still cannot return my item seven days later, and it was their error. I bought a puse online for $125. When it arrived last Sat, I could immediately tell it was too large. I was just going to bring it to my local Michael Kors store in Northbrook or drop it at the post office to return it. However, there was no receipt or packing label in the box, no paperwork of any kind. I called and emailed that Sat and was told through both channels that I would be emailed a shipping label in two business days. Thursday, I still hadn't received it. I called again and was told I would be emailed a shipping label in two days. (What is this with two days to send an email? What kind of old computers do they have? Especailly when it was their error that there was no paperwork in the box.) I asked what would happen as we are running into another weekend. She assured me it wouldn't be a problem. Today, Saturday, I still haven't received it. I called and even after talking to a supervisor Esha, I was told nothing can be done on the weekend. I asked how can that be for an expensive product, especially when it was their error, and they had five non-weekend days to send me the stupid label or receipt. Esha said there is nothing she can do and she was the supervisor. So she is not really a supervisor, just somone else who can get on the phone. She has no power, no ability to get on a computer and email me my receipt or shipping label. I even had set up an account with my order. I can go online and see my order, but no way for me to print a receipt. How archaic! And she had no sympathy for my problem. You can get better service buying a purse at Walmart.

I bought a michael kors handbag in the michael kors shop in venice this july 2017 while cruising around the med i used the bag when travellung home and it scratched with normal use i used it again when i came home and the leather marked again i contacted michael kors and they asked me to email them photos of the bag receipst etc i received an email from them telling me i had caused the external damage to the bag myself i have many michael kors bags but the gold pebble bag marks if it touches anything it is not fit for normal use they have told me there is nothing they can do the bag was only 5 weeks old when i contacted them i will not be accepting their response and will be taking this compliant further i cant believe how poor michael kors customer service is the bag is one of ur new autumn range and therefore has not received any customer reviews yet? The material used to make this handbag is def faulty prepare urselves for further compliants hopefully you will deal with these in a more professional helpful manner?

Received my purse and the leather strap was missing. Didn't seem to me like this would be such a difficult thing to fix. They had me take pictures of the purse and packaging which I did. Then after I called them back and spoke to several rude supervisors saying just return the bag for your credit we don't have any straps. One supervisor finally gave me a 15% discount, which sounds good, but not enough to replace the missing strap. So I was back to just return the bag! They just didn't get it... I liked the bag, there was nothing wrong with it, the strap was missing. They sell straps! Make it right and replace the missing strap! After several hours On hold listening to the same dumb song, I spoke to "Ria" the manager. She was the most uncaring person I've ever talked to. She should never be in customer service. She kept saying, sorry we can't help you, just return the bag or live with no strap. There was no interest on her part to make me, the customer, happy with my new MK purse. I've purchased MK products before, but never again after such a horrible experience. Too bad!

ABSOLUTE SHAMBLES

Ordered a watch and paid for express shipping only to spend the whole day chasing the order to find it is lost in the Netherlands due to an error on their part.
To add to that one of the several incompetent staff had managed to cancel the order so the watch would actually never arrive...
To then be told they will refund once it is received back by them.

Do not waste your time with this useless bunch..

Cheaply made purse handles.

They don! T stand behind their products. Their purses are very over-priced for the quality you get. My friend purchased a bag for me, then passed away. I wanted this to remember him and his pricy thoughtfulness. The straps fell apart twice. They fixed the first, but refused the second time. Please don't spend your hard earned money on their poor quality handbags.

I bought a 350 dollar Michael kors bag on 8/24/2017 went to try to return it 9/10/2017 they gave me such a hard time they told me I needed the dust bag it came with in order to return it. When I checked with a another Michael kors store they told me that wasn't true. They made me feel soo low class for wanting to return the item after the straps started ripping. I don't think I will ever buy from them again.

I will never buy anything from them! My son is 11 months today. My $300 diaper bag is falling apart! I called and because it was purchased before " one year" no warranty! Are you KIDDING me! This is a DAMN diaper bag! I use it Everyday. Make it better use! Or have a better warranty! THAN when you call they act as if everyone has MICHEAL money to purchase another one!

I never write customer complaints, I always thought it is a waste of time, but this time I can not tolerate it anymore! Don't buy anything from Michael Kors! Never! I returned something which I bought online on May 13th, I sent it back on June 8th, 2017. They said they processed the refund on June 27th. But it has been over two months and I still didn't get the refund. The refund is through paypal, so I called paypal, but they say they never receive any refunds from Michael Kors. How could I not see the refund in my paypal history (not even in the pending payments) if they really processed it? I truly believe they didn't process the refund at all, even though the insisted it. I called MK a least seven times, and every agent says different things. Every time they say they ask me to wait a few more day and they're gonna have a resolution for me, but they never did. Last week I called them again they say they have investigated this issue and they are going to send me a check, but I haven't received any checks yet! Today I called them one more time, and this time they say they are still processing the refund, and they say they never send checks! How could the two agents say things in completely opposite way? I'm really frustrated now it seems it took forever for them to investigate the case and my case never got a solution. I used to buy MK bags a lot, but if the company keeps doing like this, they're lose a customer forever!

Defective

Bought a white purse only because the sales rep assured me the protectant spray would stop jean dye from staining the purse. I followed directions and it didn't work. 45 minutes of wearing the purse and I saw jean due.
They refuse to take it back, they refuse to exchange. They offer me warranty at my own cost even though I contacted them with in the stated return policy.

Very unhappy customer

I received one of there handbags as a gift December 2016. 7 months later the straps started ripping. I contacted Macy's where the person said they bought it from and Macy's was unable to return it unless I had a receipt, which who keeps a receipt for that long and it was a gift so I didn't have one. I then contact Michael kors who said they needed all kinds of information and proof of purchase. Multiple emails later after I kept telling them it was a gift and I don't have proof of purchase they will not take the handbag back to fix it or exchange it. I will not be buying anything Michael kors or Macy's ever again. There bags are not cheap and all the difficulty with phone calls, emails I got no where. I had an expensive tool break I got my husband for his birthday, I did not have a receipt, I contacted that company sent them pictures and had a brand new tool within 2 weeks. So just goes to show you these people make very difficult on purpose because they don't want people returning or exchanging. I have 2 other purses with this company with no problems so it's a manufacturing issue and they are not being helpful. So if you buy anything for there keep your receipt otherwise you will be out of luck like me. Very unsatisfied customer.

Worst customer service

I bought a purse for my wife that she wanted to exchange. The staff treated us like criminals when we tried to return and found every reason not to let us exchange. I have never ever experienced such lack of respect by a merchant.

My girlfriend's birthday was last month, and as we were apart, so I decided to buy her a gift card on the Michael Kors website, as she loves the brand. Biggest mistake ever.

The gift card was never delivered, and after continuously asking my gf to check her mail, the surprise was ruined and her birthday passed with no gift card.

After numerous emails back and forth, and long delays (they asnwered my emails after 2-3 days each time) she got the email with the gift card. However, when she tried to order she was told she needed a code and pin to use the card, and when she called the company she got he same horrible service and was told that perhaps I hadn't paid.

Then to top things off, I was told that the problem was because I had bought the card without making an account, so I should make one before buying next time. Why do they have the option to buy that way if it doesn't work?

This is still ongoing and now I only want my money back and to never shop from this horrible company again.

There are many better fashion brands out there, with better quality and customer service. You should stay away from Michael Kors

Horrible company

I just got off the phone with Amirah at customer support. They should change the name to no customer support.
I really do not understand how this company is still in business. I guess partly because we do not check these sites till after having a bad experience.
They could not care less as to whether the customer is satisfied. All they care about is the cash is in there account.
I will not be doing business with this company again,
