They pulled a fast one on me at the store. I switched and thought I got a free phone. I thought they charged a lot for their activation, since my bill was 190 dollars. I get home and looked on my receipt, they changed me for a phone and service which should not have happened. Also I ended that their activation is expensive and the clerk did not explain the charges at that moment, although she had an opportunity to explain the charges at that point
This is called BAIT AND SWITCH. I am reporting METRO PCS to the BBB for BAIT And SWTICH FRAUD for charging my card without consent.
Want to start with saying that it's not MetroPCS that I'm upset with it's not Nokia then I'm upset with I am upset with the manager of this store and possibly the owner if this is the way they handle business. I purchased a Nokia X 100 phone 2/15/2022 about 2 Days later the phone turned off and on but went into a bootloader mode and it did not have recovery mode which come to find out a lot of these Nokia phones are having the same problem. I called MetroPCS customer service and they didn't understand why the store wasn't taking the phone back they were so shocked the lady literally argued and did everything in her power to explain to them this is not right he bought the phone it's having a malfunction problem he has the receipt he has the box why are you not taking this back from him this is the guy that said it's our procedure that if you take out the SIM card and put it on a different phone you deactivate that phone so that phone is no good anymore we can't do anything with it I said it was 6:00 in the morning and I needed a phone so yes I called MetroPCS had them put the SIM card in my old phone so I had a phone for the day which common sense right. And they said no we will not return that phone because it is our procedure I said well show me that procedure I will walk out of this thing head held high you know verbiage is everything. They do not have anything to back up there policy or procedure. Their policy that is in writing states that they need to take the phone back within a certain amount of time with the receipt nothing's damaged it was not my fault that the phone is faulty. Not my fault I am innocent I worked hard for my money. This Nokia phone is called Nokia x100 and it is a MetroPCS T-Mobile exclusive phone. When I went into that store that day to purchase a phone he sold me on that phone he said how great it was the processor the camera and yes it did have a great camera did have good speed but it is a faulty phone and it needs a little work. I called Nokia Nokia said that we are so sorry sir we do not understand why they will not take the phone and return it but we will fix it we will do whatever it takes I said well the fact that the phone has malfunctions now I would much prefer to return the phone and try another phone that doesn't have these problems it has other kinks worked out they said well you need to go back to that store or the only store that can do anything for you they sold it to you they are legally obligated to abide by the global seller contract that they have and they're legally obligated to abide by the guidelines that MetroPCS T-Mobile has made throughout the whole company. The worker told me that this is not a corporate office this is just a franchise that someone owns we're just a licensed dealer. And it's exactly the point you are not anybody to change any policy you abide by the MetroPCS and T-Mobile guidelines. I can't recall the Metro PCS customer service representative that I had to call to the corporate office but she did everything in her power to try to understand what this guy was talking about. She couldn't understand how the owner of that store made up his own rules. I went home I didn't you know cause a scene I called Nokia I start looking through all the paperwork that the phone comes with and again it states they need to take this phone back they sold it to me the phone was faulty and what they needed to do was take the phone from me give me my refund give me a new phone do something to make it right. Nokia told me that all they had to do is take the phone contact them and they would work it out nobody was going to get taken advantage of treated poorly. And that's what it really bothers me is that I work hard for my money and you know what she told me that worker at that store it's a free phone who cares whoa lady it's a free phone yeah I paid the taxes on that phone yes it wasn't hundreds of dollars but I paid money for that phone I walked in here to get a phone and a new service activated. I didn't come here to be taking advantage of laughed at treated poorly!
They keep changing the policies now they won't help people with their data and hotspot problems!
Been with metro for about several years and customer service just keeps getting worse. Even speaking with so call supervisors not worth it. Im over metro. All the misinformation and professionalism is awful. It took all day for me to get an explanation about my account. Spending money with this company is just not worth it.
My account is due on the 1st of the month. Metro will shut you down if you have not payed by the 1st, but they will not restart your data limit till the next day. So even if you pay you will not be able to use your alotted data
It is pretty sorry of them when you just get a brand new phone and you can't call out or text and they tell you that you have to make a claim on a brand new phone you just got. When I filled a claim on a Thursday they said my phone will be at the store by Monday we well I call and then they tell me it wasn't delivered it might be tomorrow. That is just not good at all. Thinking about changing to another carrier. They have no good customer service at all. If you just received a new phone and have had problems with it they need to give you another phone with no problems.
I have an account with 2 lines for 2 of my grandkids and I can the cost is pretty average. The coverage area is not terrible where we are, but could be a big concern in some areas. In general I've experienced decent customer service. My biggest complaint is account access. It requires the username, password, account code, and a code it sends to one of the phones every single time. The phone's are with my 13 and 15 yr old grandkids, not myself, so this makes it difficult most of the time.
I switched to Metro from H2O in Dec 2021. I saw a good deal: $25 per month for 35Gb data - that's great! And it was till today when I found out that they LOCK your SIM-card by device which is completele BS! It means you cannot take out your SIM from one device and put on into another - it will not work!
I bought a Tablet with LTE and try to set it by my Metro SIM-card and I was really suprised when it did not work. So, I called to their customer support and they confirmed that the system works that way.
You may ask - what's the problem? But think again - what if you damage your device or it becomes broken? If you have a SIM from any other carrier, you just put on your SIM into new device and everything will work great! But IT IS NOT GONNA HAPPEN WITH METRO! You will need to contact them first, register your device and only after that you can use your new device!
My monthly plan is ending and I will not pay for another month. Just starting looking for another service provider.
Recently phone service was suspended due to a fraudulent charge which. I knew nothing about so I called customer service to deal with it and got the run around one customer service agent waive the fraudulent fee but still didn't unsuspended my service and the other two didn't do anything cause they said my account was lock and there's nothing they could do and advise me to go to the metro by T-Mobile store which I did. Today I went to the Metro by T- Mobile and The Tara Blvd location customer service was worst than the ever the customer service agent tried to get me to buy a hold new sms card for my phone which I was advised by the customer service agent that I talked to Sunday that I would not be charged to come in to the store to have the unsupend my phone line. So when I told her that I was advised that I didn't have to pay to have them unsupend and sense I didn't want to the told me to go to another store which I ended up going to the store in the west end location which was worst than Tara Blvd the sales manager team was very none chalante about help he explained to me what possible could have happened saying that my phone wasn't on the plan which it was but said there was another phone on my line and that it was added on Sunday 01-16-22 when I told him that I might be a victim of fraud he could care less I asked do I need to file a report with metro he told me to file a report with the police and never felt this devalued in my life the hold Metro by T-Mobile group drop the ball big time as a customer and I probably will never be a customer of this company again.
This company is horrible. They messed up a whole lot with my phone service for months, because they kept giving me the wrong information regarding my application for Broadband service. As of last month Metro PCS has been getting paid $50 a month ($48 from Broadband), and this is the second month that they shut my phone down while disallowing phone calls by posting that I am not connected to a network, whenever I try to call anyone. They shut my phone off last month on December 24 until December 31, and they haven't refunded any money. They said that they did an investigation, but figured out nothing. It is the 12th of January and they shut my phone off again. I just applied for some jobs yesterday and I can't even receive any phone calls. This is terrible! I do not have access to another phone, so how am I supposed to get this problem resolved?
I live in surprise az in the city and the service sucks alot of the times specially when im home my phone service doesn't work the internet always fails it can't load this service is the worst I ever had will switch asap
Customer service Representatives with unprofessional mess both my account over towards me treat me like that was a nobody he should be fired I'm handicapped I'm too far from the store he took advantage of it
IF YOU WANT A GOOD WIRELESS PHONE COMPANY GO WITH ANY OTHER COMPANY BESIDES METRO BY TMOBILE. THEY ARE ABSOLUTY U UNEQUIVOCALLY THE WORST. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS THE WORST. THEY SUCK. ON A SCALE OF 1 TO 10 THEY ARE A ZERO
My service my phone service is actually pretty good it has some thoughts my only problem is when you go to Charter customer service you are unable to understand a word they say none of them speak English I called 10 times 1 time and finally got an American and it went so smooth when I talk to the American person that can understand and speak English it was done in 30 seconds but I was on the phone an hour trying to find somebody that could understand me this is a big issue
It has been my experience that Metro even in light of the mistake not being one of their own creation well nine out of 10 times make the job right even at their cost I just finished a phone call with Metro customer service where they gave me 4 GB of hotspot for free simply because I did not understand how the billing cycle worked and the megabyte being topped up or swapped over from month to month your month may be different than your your month supply of hotspot is different scale than your billing payments time scale you might your bills due on the 16th say but your mobile hotspot doesn't pop up to the first that's the part I didn't understand completely service guy service rep on the phone that they call it agent was extremely polite he was almost too polite but it was thorough he was pleasant helpful and positive just everything if I was a customer service company I would hire this guy is the kind of people I would want working for me and at the end of the day that's really what makes a business a success at least it would for me not the millions of dollars I can make that's just added bonus really it's the employees the people their dedication to your customers they give them a job and afford you a life good job Metro good job customer for 11 years now and I don't regret it I still do not regret it!
I will never recommend metro pcs to anyone because they have such horrible service. I was promised a 20 dollar credit for 3 months and I have not seen it yet. They are crooked and do not uphold their promises to customers.
I would give a 0, but I don't have the option. I have been a metro customer for more than 4 years. I recently purchased a new defective phone. I have been trying for weeks to get a replacement. It just isn't gonna happen. The employees are powerless to help and management does not care' Worst customer service experience of my life.
Today was a horrible day for me with trying to get help from 611. I located a store because my phones were disconnected because of a charge on my bill. Last year around the same time I also had this issue with one of my lines. They tried to tell me that my disabled Veteran who was in a rehabilitation facility walked into a store and upgraded his phone. He cant even walk I explained and he didn't update the account or upgrade his phone. It was a error on their end they figured out after a couple of hours and me finding a Authorized location to get help. I ended up getting a security pin so this wouldn't happen again but it did. My Veteran friend passed away in August and I kept his line on so his daughter and family could call to hear his voice mail when needed because it was extremely difficult for us to loose him. I went to the Location off of Madison Avenue next to a Safeway store and the lady inside was really nice but didn't understand why I was charged the 43.and some change it I just paid on November 27th $132.00 for 3 lines. I was told to call 611 for help so I went back to my vehicle and did so in the parking lot. I ended up finally getting a live person who I have her name and rep number but don't want to put it out there even though she was very rude and she told me the charger was past due and needed to be paid now. I asked what the charges were for and she argued that my Veteran walked into a store and upgraded his phone. I explained he couldn't have for two reasons one he didn't have the security code and if he did with dialysis and dementia he wouldn't remember ontop of being bed bound and two he passed away in late August so he didn't do it. She was rude and put me on hold. She came back on the phone and then told me I needed to get the representative from the Metro store on the phone because she messed up and changed me on my account. I put her on speaker and waited for the lady whom I spoke with before to have both of them talk about it since the representative on the phone tried telling me she couldn't take the charges off but the lady in the store could. I went into the store because my phones were suspended and I knew she wasn't the one who made the mistake. The rudest thing about this all was she lied about not being able to help me with the false charges and tried to blame a representative in the store but ended up with a attitude turning back on the phones. I'm glad I recorded the call myself because I had to explain to my boss why I couldn't clock in at work because once again Metro PCS charges were added. I am honestly thinking about switching my family and friends to another carrier because its been 2 years in a row and I took all security resource to make sure it wasn't going to happen again but yet it did and I ended up getting lied to and loosing money from the experience. I know that I can honestly get a better deal than I am now but I have been with Metro Pcs since 2015 and I did like the way I was treated in the past. I hope it changes with guest service experiences because my family and friends are feeling the same way I am. Its horrible that the representative tried telling me that he walked into a store and upgraded his phone and he isn't with us anymore but I just wanted to hear his voice. I ended up getting his phone line canceled because 2 years in a row with the same issue is just sadness..
Metro PC in Elizabeth city is horrible associate added my new phone to my account of my lost phone then another associate made another account for my phone under a made up name that she thought of in the store instead of fixing the problem they way she should have so my phone was turned off two days in a row in then the head supervisor pj pushed me off also cause she didn't wanna deal with the problem as well horrible making excuses for wat the associates made horrible
After a costly and horrendous ordeal with TracFone/SafeLink Wireless, I decided to go back to traditional type service I walked into Metro by T Mobil located at 3750 Ming Ave, Bakersfield, CA on 12/3/21. I stepped up to the counter and stated I would like to start new service with the free phone when you switch promotion. I added, I'd like to keep my number. What was supposed to be a free phone, cost me $107 before leaving the store. This promotion is nothing more than a bait and switch operation to lure in gullible customers. I chose a Nokia X100. I was told in order to get the free phone, I must buy a $60 monthly plan. I stated I can't afford that and the salesperson said not to worryafter the first month I could choose a lesser plan. She added, if you want a lesser plan now, you'll have to pay full price for the phone which was $189 plus tax. I didn't get a contract, but when I got the receipt, it was unbelievable. I was charged $70 for a $60 plan that I scammed into buying. I declined insurance and was charged for insurance anyways. Their rationale for imposing insurance when I had declined was that it was policy. I was charged for a case that was supposedly free when I sign up for auto pay. Subtotal was $85 plus I was charged $22 sales tax. I tried to discuss the bill but the saleslady talked over me and much faster. Customers were piling up so I was passed off to someone else. The phone works for outgoing calls, I can call out but incoming calls do not reach me. People claim the phone rings when calling me but I can't hear it, my phone never light up. I'm going back tomorrow for a refund or exchange because I got nowhere yesterday. I left feeling foolish and frustrated.
