Got sold a bad product

I've been using Mercari for a while. Bought some perfume. When it came it smelled like alcohol. Immoderately I requested to return for the seller for a refund. Mercari said no! Charged me and their reason? I can't prove it smells. I deleted the app and done with them forever.

A user on Mercari purchased my item. Immediately after receiving it they requested a return. I never received tracking or the money for it. They do not pickup the phone or respond to emails. I basically got robbed for my merchandise and Mercari did nothing about it. I'll be filing a police report and a civil case against Mercari. Stay away from doing business with them. I relisted my item but it's been days and I have not gotten a response from anyone.

I shop a lot online, including auction sites. This website is the absolute worst. It is extremely difficult to access customer service, but if you do correspond with an actual human, it is a waste of time. I have had three bad experiences to date, so the site has now been struck from my list of shopping sites. Last week I bought a large dog bed for a big dog. I was sent a tiny dog bed suitable for a toy breed. I sent numerous photos (10+) including a tag that showed the size of the bed—which was in direct opposition to the listing info— but was told that I did not provide enough documentation to return the item. Don't waste your time, money, or sanity with this unprofessional website!

I used their printable postal label and shipped a 535.00 item i sold on their site which the buyer never received. Contacted customer service 7 times only to get the run around from Danielle who offered no help. UPS confirmed Mercari received my package which they never sent to the buyer. Beware and steer clear of these thieves!

Banned for no reason. A couple simple warnings for tagged words or whatever it may be but I actually really enjoyed selling on that site and they gave me no explanation or reason they just said basically I'm banned for life so I'm pretty salty about it

This sight is scandalous they refunded me for a lost item then put my account under review
Took back the money they refunded and closed my account for what look like no reason until I noticed all my fund never transferred to my bank and they became completely to busy to address my concerns so I filed a police report but since they are not even in Us I not sure what county there was nithythey could do beware I'm out over 800 and some valuables I strongly advise not to use this app not ro mention every thing I ever bout except maybe 1 pair of shoes was junk and they also raised fees hidden sold items from my view and very poor customer support I would perhaps suggest Robinhood u can make money on that app but Mercari is a rip off people please beware thanks Marty

The most horrible customer service ever provided. They close my account without notice even though that was my business and I made thousands of dollars for them. They closed it because apparently I used a product photo from ulta, but apparently that was illegal. Horrible customer service. No one responds, no one cares, and no one is willing to help. I've message them so many times, and they've never responded. Mercari is the worst of to sell on and they take so much money from you.

Fronlm you bank and not mail you the item Paige215 was the seller I had and she said she forgot to send my item 7 days later when I messaged her. She kept my money. Now paige215 blocked me, but the office of MARCARI has never ever called me, nor text me, nor email me. How terrible they take advantage of a social security person. But I learned the hard way. God is there and I hope they will later on see that. Shame on you Paige215.

Doing some on line shopping and came across the item I was looking for on mercai. After setting up the account, I get an error starting "address couldn't be verified". Suggested using the app instead. Download the app and it gets stuck at the same place on three different devices. At this point I just wanted to cancel out everything and delete all info I already given. To my dismay, the app or website had no clear direction on how to do this. Several emails and generic useless answers about WiFi connection latest software and play store crap, hasn't gotten me anything. They still can't verify my location, they still have information i no longer want them to have and still don't have directions on how to be done with this shady company once and for all.

I don't like mercari because you have no way of contacting them about any issue that you have! Another thing is that buyers give false feedback! A buyer left false negative feedback that had nothing to do with the seller at all! And mercari Does NOT do anything about it! All they care about is there money! I will no longer use mercari and I will NOT RECOMMEND
ANYONE TO USE MErCARI!

Full of SCAMS, If you get unlucky and text the scammer, and they ask to purchase outside the app, YOU WILL ALSO FACE CONSEQUENCES. If you buy from a scammer, you WILL HAVE TO WAIT DAYS FOR A REFUND. If you try to talk to support you will wait DAYS for a automated response. If you add a card to a account, that card CANNOT BE USED ON ANY OTHER. BEWARE!

Buyers Beware

I purchased a black pair of shoes and when they arrived, they were green! LOL My return request was denied by Mercari. Instead, the customer service team told me that if I was unhappy, I could just relist them. You're better off shopping for deals on a reputable website that honors returns.

I would give them 0 stars if I could. I bought an item and was in the hospital for a few days. It had barely been the third day mark. As soon as I came back, I realized that the seller had sold me a 1) counterfeit and 2) defective product. I immediately proceeded to leave voicemails and messages to mercari, none of which was answered in a timely manner. Then, mercari responded that they will make a one time exception and allow a return, the rep then ghosted me. Many later, another rep messaged me and said no return period. The reps openly lie and don't take responsibility. Mind you, the first rep had promised me a return for a DEFECTIVE and COUNTERFEIT item and now they are not taking responsibility.

Do not buy anything from this site. I recieved a broken fraudulent peice of junk. Then told it was ok by customer service. BUYER BEWARE! Do not expect to get your money back as stated in the first line of there own LIES. The unit i received was made to be something else, a stick on badge. Then when i complained about the broken conditions and i tested it. BLEW EVERYTHING IN MY CAR UP. A FIRE HARZARD. I WAS TOLD TO LIST THIS ON OUT SELLING PLACE. LIST IT AS WHAT? BROKEN JUNK, RIP OFF? Just Do NOT ever buy anything from this site. Its all the sellers that have been banned from Amazaon and Ebay All Ready for fraud and scams. Selling fake broken and junk or nothing at all. They still get paid and customer support is a joke. Leave a message or tell us what happened. THAT GETS YOUR MONEY GIVING TO THE SELLER... YIU GET TO KEEP THE CRAP THEY SENT YOU.

Wrong item received

I ordered a women's shwinn hybrid bike. Waited over a week for it to be shipped. We were on a planned trip when arrived so could not rate. Once we saw product it was a men's mountain bike NOT even a shwinn! Mercari would not support this problem. We now have a bike that's useless. Box was also partially opened. BAD seller- Awful company paid 324$ for this bad delivery

Unfairly closed
