The quality of the bag was cheap at best. The free pouch looked like it came from the dollar store. I did get my refund back but….
I had to work at it first to find an address then emails, talking to people who said they couldn't give me an address that a "return specialist" would call! Back and forth and I wish I had logged in when I started and when I got an answer. So you have been warned! Sorry I didn't read these reviews first would not have ordered.

My take: mdbm.uk bag has great style and is well constructed. However... doesn't even smell like leather, so I'm thinking vegan leather (vinyl). The hardware (buckles, zipper) are, I'm guessing, zinc alloy that has been coated with gold-colored plating. Still, this has a lovely appearance. Return address in LA is from Zhao Meng. Hmm. UK by way of China? Real bait-and-switch. Anyway, I do think the purchase is nice, but make sure to look for a discount code for it to be worth it.

I ordered the Cholet bag in teal and love it. The bag is excellent quality considering the price is inexpensive. I loved mine so much, I bought another one (in yellow) to give to my BFF for her birthday. I've read some reviews here complaining about the quality of the leather -- even some doubting it's real leather -- but I am perfectly happy with the quality. And the stitching and construction are first-rate IMO. My only complaint is the lengthy shipping time - and they do not offer expedited shipping -- I would have been willing to pay for it, As it is, my BFF's birthday gift will be late. Ordered 3/17, said I would receive in 5-7 days it had been 4 weeks! The worst part is that it takes 3 or more days to get a response when I email them and all they say is " sorry, give it a few more day"

Although these bags are advertised as leather - they leave out the "key" word - fake! These bags are not leather - doesn't even smell like leather - as someone who buys higher priced Always leather bags I feel stupid to have fallen for this beside the fact that the bag took 6 weeks to get to me! Do Not Buy these,,

Terrible customer service. Bought a purse and the color was not what I wanted. The leather was very stiff, the hardware looked tarnished and the strap was so crimped it will never straighten out. Asked to return it and was told they will review my request for return. Didn't hear from them so I called and was told they didn't see any processing request. I asked what if I just sent it to their Olean, NY facility and was told there would be no one there to receive it! Ridiculous. I don't normally spend $125. For a small purse but I splurged. I tried to put this review on their website but couldn't for some reason. Very disappointed

I read the reviews here first before I decided to write my own. Reviews here don't do the company justice in my opinion. Better reviews are in their site itself. Having said that, I will put in my review here.
I purchased total of 3 different bags/purses from MDBM. It shipped within the expected time frame, well packed. The bags are of high quality without the famous name and high price tag. They are leather! Except the pouch that they add on. Their styles are unique that's why I chose them over famous brands. Received envy and great compliments from friends when I used them. Always checking on their bags coz I want them all. Just don't feel the need to buy more since I can't go out much to use them with this pandemic. Maybe later. But I do personally recommend them.
