Sent my laptop
They had offered 77
Now the are offering 0 as the say the keypad is wear out I'm 71 only used it for my emails etc
Rubbish company
Sent Mazuma an iphone that had been in a case it's whole life, and was immaculate. I received an email back to say that it had more than 5 scratches and wanted to reduce the price offered by £30. I asked to see the pictures as I knew this wasn't the case. They sent me about 10 photos, one with a noticeable scratch and others where you can hardly see anything and maybe tiny marks around the edge. I know my phone didn't have these as it had been a in a case it's whole life and sent to them wrapped in bubble wrap. The screen scratches that they tried to prove also weren't true as the phone had had a screen protector on it it's whole life, and was actually still attached when I sent the phone, so they didn't exist either. I have included pics of what they class as scratches, even though I don't believe these are of my phone. I have asked for the phone back as I'm not going to be scammed by them. I used them as I thought they were a reputable company, but clearly the idea is to offer one of the highest amounts to get the business and then try and knock down the price, and if their phone is already there people will just accept it. Very disappointing.
Sent them an iPhone 8 in excellent condition with no marks or scratches having been kept from new in fully enclosed case and with one careful owner - my wife. They claim over 3 scratches on display - there were absolutely none, and marks on body - again there were none. They reduced the "guaranteed" £80 price to £25! I've rejected and asked for phone to be returned, stating I will hold them personally responsible if it comes back with marks and scratches. It was sent to them very carefully wrapped in considerable bubble wrap and in a new, sturdy box. Don't use this company. They are, as many reviwers have stateds, con merchants.
As with most people who have used Mazuma Mobile, sent a perfect iphone X to them and received the same email, has more than 5 scratches and price reduced, contacted them immediately and was told they would send pictures received pictures back from them, one of my phone switched on showing the IMEI number but remaining pictures were of a different faded and damaged phone. I had taken a full set of pictures prior to sending and not 1 mark on the phone had protectors and a case and was a director's phone that never left his desk. I asked for a Video rather than individual pictures of different phones, surprise surprise, no video! Accepted the reduced price as didn't want a damaged phone returned to me, will see if I receive any money and update. Don't touch with a barge pole, complete scammers.
Don't bother, absolute con. Accept used phones but insist on as good as new after forensically examining them. Dropped price from 300 to 100. Don't waste your time, sell privately.
Sent my Samsung s20+ to Mazuma they where offering £180 for it they had it over a week heard nothing until I contacted them when they came back with an offer of £50 because it had screen burn and a slight crack on the rear camera nether I can see anyway reject the £50 they came back with an £80 offer told them just send the phone back worth more to me as a backup.
I like many of the reviewers have had my iphone in a protective case with a screen protector fitted from new. I polished my phone before sending it off to Mazuma and i didn't see any scratches or marks on it at all. I was given a reasonable price of £350 to sell my phone, once it arrived at Mazuma i received an email saying that there were marks on the casing and i was offered a new price of £285, a reduction of £65. I rang Mazuma and asked for pictures of my phone and the ones they sent showed many marks which i'm sure i'd have noticed (see pictures). I would recommend that anyone using Mazuma take a video of their phone, tablet, etc before sending it to Mazuma as evidence. I am considering contacting trading standards as i believe they are trying to maximise their profits by sending pictures of damaged phones to the owners..
This company is ripping people off and not hiding the fact they are. I sent them a (spotless) Iphone 11 Pro Max always covered completely with front and back protection and it was mint condition. I was offered £375 so i sent it off in a protection box that Apple had sent me previously so it was fully protected from any explosions. I had it collected from the house and the delivery driver secured it inside a foam filled box so it could have been thrown off a 10 story building and not had a scratch to it. Received an email from Mazuma 3 days later to say
"Sorry we have had to amend your sale due to multiple scratches (we only allow up to 5)".
Are they joking, the phone is in mint condition! I demanded photo evidence that there are scratches on the phone. I received an email to say "no problem, they will request them. Not, i'm really sorry for the inconvenience or anything of that nature. I have since requested I have my phone returned as i dont have pictures. This is an unethical business dangling good prices in front of you so you send in your phone and they will then reduce the price on receipt and lie about damage that doesn't exist. I am yet to receive the phone back and hoping they have not purposely damaged it to prove there was scratches to it. DO NOT USE and search google for the real reviews.
AVOID THIS COMPANY, always find faults with your devices, when there is never anything wrong with them
I sent off a perfect Samsung S8, I had been quoted £50. The emailed me to say it had screen burn and multiple scratches. It did not, it had been in a case its whole life, it didn't have a mark on it and the screen was perfect. It's discussing, avoid them.
Offered me £90 less for my perfect condition apple watch, said it was scratched but wasn't! Do not use
Sent my as new Samsung S10 to Mazuma after being quoted £130. Received an email once they received it to say they would only oay £110 as multiple scratches.
I can tell you there wasnt a scratch or mark on the phone. It was checked over with s magnifying glass prior to posting, the confition was perfect and was checked over thoroughly by someone else before posting. It had never been out of wrapping.
When I called them to discuss they simply said I can rejectct the offer.
Last time I sent a phone to Mazuma and rejected it I never got it back and took months to fike a complaint for compensation.
I should have learnt my lesson however everybody deserves a second chance so that is where we are now.
Will never use Mazuma again.
Complete scammers.
Mazuma offered £95 for my iPhone 8 - they emailed to say it had scratches and offered £70. I rejected and asked for the phone to be returned; they then offered £75. I told them I was not happy and to return my phone. It arrived safe and I took photos of it and emailed them to show the phone did not have any scratches. And they kept by iPhone case!
Do not trust them. They are scammers.
Sent off iPhone XS Max in absolute mint condition. Offered £200. Then get an email stating that there is dust particles that have worked their way into the camera module creating "black spots" in a pic. Nonsense. I have taken thousands of pics and no evidence of dark spots or dust in the lenses. Total rubbish. Then offered me £60. Lol. If there was "dust particles " that had worked its way into the lense over time then that is fair wear and usage and does not constitute a camera lense replacement or any damage. My bank accepted my photos of my ID only 2 days prior to sending in the device. Go figure.
Absolute waste of time, wish I had read the other reviews before choosing Mazuma to resell my phone. Scam. They clearly don't honour the original prices they quote, claiming damage on the phone that doesn't exist, and I'm obviously not the only person they do this too. On calling to query these mysterious "more than 5 scratches" on the phone, I was told there is no way to appeal their decision. A mistake to pick them when there are so many alternative companies to choose, won't make that mistake again.
Sent my phone to maxima and they said there was a dark spot on the lens and reduced the price from 365 to 100, which I accepted but there was no issues with any of my photographs which I used for business so had to be spot on. My partner sent another phone back today and had exactly the same response! Can't believe that both phones, always protected with covers have exactly the same issue! Definitely not accepting their offer for this phone and will never use Mazuma again
Avoid at all costs. Sent off an pristine iPhone 13 pro max as it was too big for me, the device is 5 months old had a case on and screen protector on the whole time I had it. Mazuma said they'd give me £655 until they "checked" it and found multiple scratches and something wrong with the camera. There isn't a single scratch on the device and they tried to offer me £190 instead. Asked for it to be sent back, hopefully they return the device in the same condition. Very disappointed with this service. Avoided Facebook marketplace as too many people were trying to scam me but Mazuma are the real scammers. This is how they make their money by ripping people off and then selling it for a fortune.
I sold my iPad air 4 to Mazuma. They offered me £300 as it's nearly brand new and in mint condition. Sent it to them. They tested it and said my speakers aren't working properly so we can offer you £65! I rang them and said there is nothing wrong with the speakers to which he replied there is we've tested them. Told them to send it back to me. When I received it back I turned it on and the speakers are working perfectly. There were no scratches on it but now it has scratches on the back. How can they get away with this? It's fraud. Wish I read the reviews before sending it off to them crooks.
Sent 3 mobiles, iPhone 11, Xr and XS, the 11 & the XS were perfect no scratches at all but the XR had a cracked screen so expected a reduction on that one. We took photos of all phones to confirm condition.
Mazuma said only off er £225 now instead of £445 originally offered.
Think this is a very sharp practise, told them to return the phones.
DONT USE MAZUMA

Used to be a good company and used before. Recent experience very poor. Needed to sell a phone to raise emergency money. Order M*******. Phone had just come back from apple centre with a new genuine screen and not used. They claimed it had three scratches on it. I have a photo of the phone and it was like new. Offered £100 less then agreed. I needed the money so had to accept. Payment was not next day either as the claimed the received the phone later then their cut off point for next day. Even though tracking says otherwise.
DO NOT USE. Plenty of good reviews on here but they all short and very similar. Read the genuine reviews on here.
