Terrific therapist

I recently got a massage by Andreya she did a great job on my hurting hands and the total massage. Very friendly and professional. I recommend her for a great massage.

Scam
May 18, 2021

My husband called to purchase me a massage for Mother's Day. They told him they had a 2 for 1 offer and that I could get two massages for the price of one. They told him I would be given a voucher for the second massage once I had the first massage. At the end of my massage, they did not give me a voucher. My husband spent four days calling them. When someone finally returned his call, they told him he would have had to purchase the deal in person and would have been given two vouchers at that time. So, one sub-par massage cost $120. Massage Envy is a scam. I would recommend finding a massage therapist who works for themselves. At least you know the money is going to the therapist rather than a chain.

I made an appointment over a week ago for 1 hour and 30 minutes for hot stone massage.
When I show up to my appointment the girl that was supposed to do my massage told me she didn't know how to do the hot stone massage. Really?
I booked the appointment in advance and nobody call me to tell that the massage girl didn't know how to do the hot stone massage? Dissatisfied and disappointed. River Edge customer support is the worst. My rating is very poor. 1 star still to much.

Sierra
December 13, 2020

Sierra was AMAZING, I went to the beavercreek location off north Fairfield. She catered to all my needs. I am a night nurse, I have knots beyond belief. She worked with me and even gave me a print out of exercises to do at home to help my muscles. Best massage I have ever had. Highly highly recommend her!

Racism
December 11, 2020

I Had the worst experience ever. Every time I call there always mean to me. When im done with my Sessions the Receptionist makes weird faces at me racial type of faces. When I thought the therapist Was being friendly. I gave her my number the GM Adriana called me and said I was unacceptable. I felt so disrespected. I will be writing to the Better Business Bureau. There's nothing wrong in offering your number. Plus the faces and treatment by the staff. Unacceptable

Best Facial Ever!
October 5, 2020

I had the pleasure of having a Jan Marino facial. My esthetician, Alyssa, at Southland's Mall in Aurora, CO, gave me the best facial massage ever. She was such a pleasure. She gave me several recommendations or my daily skin plan. She also scheduled a program for upcoming appts. For my skin care. It was such a pleasure to meet you, Alyssa. Thanks Alyssa for your outstanding services!

Terrible. Terrible.
September 8, 2020

Paid for 60min massage got 40min massage. Asked massage therapist about shortened time and I was told "this isn't the place for me." This place is a joke and Kim is the massage therapist at lands town commons I had this experience with. Roxy the manager said there was nothing she could do and didn't even apologize for the rip off time and unprofessional massage therapist. Corporate needs to recheck this landstown commons. Location. Was a monthly client now taking my money elsewhere.

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE
September 5, 2020

In February 2020, My husband bought a gift card for $85(to cover $65 hour massage and $20 tip). I used this today/ massage ok. No special "ambience."
My spouse also purchased another gift card about a week ago(6 months after prior purchase)-he paid $135-when I asked if this was for a longer massage, they said NO-same as was purchased 6 months ago! A 77% increase!
I told them my husband didn't realize he had paid $50 more for the exact same service, and they simply didn't care!
The manager insisted my spouse knew(NOT!) and that no refund would be given!
DO NOT waste your money at this North Wales, PA Massage Envy facility. They DO NOT care about their customers or about their workers! They only want to be deceptive and then gouge the client out of money. Over time, This will hurt them as a business and their workers(who I feel sorry for!).
After checking out yelp, consumer affairs, and other places with reviews, I know I am not alone. Just hoping that if folks check reviews first before spending their money, they can be spared from feeling cheated out of their money like my family.

Let me start be saying the massage therapist was amazing and and went above and beyond to make sure that I was happy with my experience. The front desk girl ended up charging me for my massage (I have a membership) I was just trying to tip, she got "confused " then couldn't refund my money. I spoke to the manager the following day and honestly she just made it worse. She informed me that she would be "writing up" all the employees including the therapist and when I suggested that maybe they just needed to do some training she didn't like that idea. Really poor management. I feel very sorry for all the employees there. I tried to call the corporate offices and I was forced to leave a voicemail or send an email. I really feel if a consumer is frustrated enough to contact a corporate office they shouldn't get a voicemail they should be able to speak to a person. Massage should be relaxing not frustrating.

WORST experience EVER
January 12, 2020

WORST experience EVER! First time here, The room was freezing and the table was freezing I let the masseuse know. He giggled. I paid extra for the hot towels/icy hot. The towel was hot and wet the first time applied and then he applied more icy hot and the cold wet towel back on me, I told him I was Freezing at least five different times and he just continued to giggle. It was miserable. It was supposed to be a full body massage and the only thing he worked on was my neck my back and the back of my legs and no arms no feet nothing else. Worst thing in the world to be freezing and not even get a good massage. The manager said because of the experience I can come back in at the intro rate of $65 for my next massage. I would NEVER pay $65 for an awful experience again. NEVER going back and warn anyone thinking about trying them LOOK ANYWHERE ELSE!

I've used Massage Envy in Georgia.

The quality of massages varied from great to poor, depending on the therapist you get. Most of the people that work here are rather new or just graduated from school. That being said, it doesn't mean you'll get a bad massage.

The $50 a session is a great price if you get a dependable person who listens to your needs. It has mixed results, I would say 50/50. At least half the time I got a fairly decent service but the other half, it was pretty darn bad. I had one guy that was so rough I asked him several times to be gentler. After about the 5th time, I told him I had enough and left.

Far as the price for relaxation, I will give them 3 stars. What you pay is pretty good for what you get.

Now, let's talk about the contract. Yikes! The first one you get the discounted price, then you have to agree to a monthly fee of $50 for one year. If you don't sign the contract the price is 1.5 to 1.8 times higher. Instead of $50 an hour, it's like $80 an hour. Trust me, you won't get a massage here worth $80 - the ambiance isn't worth the additional $30.

If you agree to the contract, they charge your method of choice once a month for $50. For that you get one service a month of choice at the discounted rate. As an example, you get a 60 min massage or facial (if they offer it) - if you want 90 minutes or something more, you have to pay the difference. If you can not use it this month, you can carry it over to next - so not too bad.

The thing is, you are stuck with it for a whole year. If you aren't lucky enough to get someone you like, they will continue to charge you to get a mediocre massage and you paid $600.

The contract is not worth it, the service is 50/50, the price - you get what you pay.

So, customer service is pretty good: 4 stars
Massage varies from time to time: 3 stars
Ambiance/cleanliness is good: 3 stars
Contract is not worth it: 1 star

AVOID THIS PLACE!
November 27, 2017

They will get you to sign an open ended service agreement. They will verbally misrepresent the time frame for the monthly agreement. They will bill you ~$50/month whether you use it or not. They will convince you to have them bill your HSA account (if you have one) which you will not notice. Months will go by and they will continue to extract their monthly fee without your knowledge. You will pay them for NO SERVICE PROVIDED until you take action or until the HSA account is depleted! They make it difficult to sign-out of the agreement. They will be completely inflexible in the aftermath.

These open ended contracts need to be declared ILLEGAL by the MN STATE ATTORNEY GENERAL; Lori Swanson! Write her! Think my case is unusual? Check out other reviews for here & for other locations. You'll note the trend!

VOID THIS ESTABLISHMENT AT ALL COSTS. They are a franchised establishment and my experience is with the MAPLE GROVE, MN location. Nationally they are now being accused of sexual molestation. (ref NBC Today Show News 27-Nov-17)

Massage Envy Rowlett
March 24, 2016

The staff is warm and friendly, and will greet you by name when you walk in. The massages are great, especially once you find the therapist best for you. Prices are so reasonable you don't have to chase Groupon deals to save money on a massage that you may not even like.
