I've had my ME membership for several years. I had an terrible customer service issue at the Charlotte Northlake location so I changed to the Huntersville, NC location. I'm on MY 3rd MASSAGE THERAPIST because of "he doesn't work here anymore." Today (6/22/22), I called the Huntersvlle, NC location to book a 7/09/22 or 7/10/22 massage with my latest therapist. I was informed that he was booked out 30-60 days. This is the 3rd time I've called and he's been booked out so far out in advance. The front desk person asked if I would consider another therapist. I reluctantly told her yes but when she checked the schedule, no other thetapst was available. I was asked if I wanted to be put on a cancellation list and I agreed. Today, I ALSO called the Concord, NC location (25 minutes from my home) and was told that there were no appointments on Friday, 7/08/22 or 7/09/22. Because I travel for work, I call several weeks in advance to ensure I have an appointment sometime the weekend I'm home so there really is no good reason why I can't receive service.
At this point, I don't want to put on any cancellation list. I want to cancel my membership. I've been told I'd lose all of my accrued sessions and would not receive a refund for them although they are paid for. I should not be financially penalized because of lack of staff, lack and/or poor customer service. My advice? If you are considering a membership, save the stress on your nerves and wallet and DON'T DO IT!
I had a appt at North Attleboro at 1015 I booked over a month ago and they called me at 945 telling me it's cancelled... now I'm a member there so I pay monthly and if you get a 90 minute it's a upcharge. So now that they cancelled my sat morning appt I waited for along time, I said I wanted a discount on additional fees on my reschedule... I said I had to cancelle work and was driving there when they called and the reschedule I would have to get babysitter... so the manager Erin said she was going to call general manager to get permission to do the for me and then she TEXT MSG me saying the staff doesn't feel comfortable with me so I'm not allowed there... I couldn't believe it I was so respectful, so now I can't even make appts cause nothings open and they don't care at all... very poor.
I'm a member of Massage and be in Greeley. It sucks trying to get an appointment to begin with. I scheduled a 90 minute massage two months in advance. Confirmed the day before, then the assistant manager gave my appointment to somebody else. I'm furious! They don't hesitate to take your money! Would not recommend! The struggle has been going on for months and it's old.
My experience was a shame because the hard work and good job of the massage therapist was overshadowed by other issues that left a bad taste in my mouth. First, the massage was very good. I didn't like the deceptive practice in stating one price which included a one time discount for new customers plus a 10.00 coupon. When I spoke to the front desk attendant multiple times over the phone when I was booking the appointment, I was told that the coupon I found online at the webpage of the site was good and that she already applied it to my service.
I also waited an extra 10 minutes before my massage. It was nice but not worth the $70 dollars plus tip (total $80.) for 45 minutes. At the end of my service, there was no record of my discount and the front desk was far from friendly. It was awkward and unpleasant to see the suggested tip posted so close to the register. In spite of my massage therapist being professional, nice and giving a decent massage, I would never ever go to another Massage Envy spa again. If you like deceptive pricing and not getting value for your money and feeling uncomfortable dealing with the front reception attendant, then waste your money there.

I bought both my son and my mother GC for Christmas. I am not a member.
I went into Massage Envy - Sanford and asked for 2 one hour massages. It was at Christmas and they were running specials. The massage's were $65 each. My son went to get his massage and they told him if he didn't become a member it would be an additional $55, same with my mom. If they had told me this in the beginning I wouldn't of bought the GC. My brother also bought my mom $300 worth of GC with the " Christmas special GC ". When My mom went in yesterday and they told her the same thing, she said never mind, and was going to walk out. They said Maam, that will be $50 for a cancellation. She gave them her GC and told them to use that.

You wont be able to schedule anything, you get credits each month that you pay. When you cancel your membership you will have to use all your credits within 60 days. You will not be able to use them as you can't make appointments. You will loose all the money you pay for a membership here.
Massage Envy, the company with huge promises, a strong sales pitch, great locations... but the worst staff and therapists i have ever experienced anywhere around the world.

I travel for work and for over 30 years have received massages weekly around the world. Some great, some not so great but most therapists try hard... and the time is usually worth the expense and effort,
But that is definitely NOT the case with this horrible company and their abusive, disrespectful and arrogant staff at multiple locations.
I visited Massage Envy, the Falls location on 6/28/21, given a great sales pitch on how well trained their staff is and that they were all "Professional Massage Therapists, regularly trained."
The first session I came to was promised to be a 2 hour session with full body stretching and a full body deep tissue "sport massage"
What did I get?
The Therapist showed up 25 minutes late, did a 7 minute stretch session and a crap 40 minute massage that made the girls on the beach rubbing suntan lotion on people look like a professional.
I immediately complained to the front desk staff and was promised a full refund for the 2 hours and a replacement session with "one of their best therapists t a different location"
I agreed and scheduled the appointment.
My second session, at a different location; the South Miami location on 9/9/21.
I arrived 30 minutes early and fully explained my last experience at the other location. They told me they had heard many complaints about that "other" location, then assured me the "Professional Therapist" i would meet today was "one of their best". I was promised "this therapist was highly trained with strong hands".
What did I get?
An individual who had been working with your company for only a few weeks, and complained through the entire session how much her hands were hurting.
Again, i immediately complained to the front desk staff and shared my extreme disappointment.
Again, same as the last location, many apologies, promised refund and replacement treatment.
I asked to speak to a manager, the front desk individuals called and spoke with "head office". They passed me the phone and said "this manager will help you".
I explained the full experiences from both locations and stated i no longer wanted the appointments and simply wanted my money back.
I wanted to find a different company that had fully and professionally trained therapists. I was told "All our therapists are professionals and highly trained", my experience proved this statement was not accurate.
I said again i wanted to cancel the membership and receive a refund for the wasted sessions. I was told by the "manager" on the phone my membership would be cancelled and my money refunded.
Both times I was promised a refund. This time now from a 'manager" at "head office" promised a full refund and cancelling my membership.
Simple and easy. A professional reaction to a very bad situation. What any good company would do.
What did I get?
Nothing!
Not only did i not get the promised refunds, these scammers took 3 more payments from my credit card.
I contacted the company each time a payment was taken and given an apology and more promises of correction, refunds, & claims "We respect all our clients and I would love to be able to address the issue"
Not only has this horrible company wasted endless amounts of my time in 2 different locations, via telephone and email, and failed to follow through on your promises, they have to this day continued to try to steal more money from my credit card.
And they are even sly about that trying multiple times every day using different amounts each time.
I finally put a block on my credit card so they could not steal anymore, and to my delight, i finally received a call from them under the pretense they wished to help...
The follow up call, from a "manager" Monica Trujillo *******@massageenvy.com, only goal was to get more money from me. She claimed she knew nothing about the reported issues, and went on to mock me, make fun of my company and threaten to sue and do damage to me and my reputation if i made any sort of comments on their "how did we do?" reviews.
My suggestion, avoid these scammers. Terrible services, disrespectful and scams… This company is clearly only interested in how much money they can get from people, with no interest in the services provided, or promises made.
Went through the entire process online to find an open appointment when I'm available. It stated a 90 minute massage was $98 for first time customers. I'm a first time customer and at check out it tried to charge me $173. Corporate company.
I made my Husband and appointment for his Birthday which was a surprise for him from me. I blind folded his eyes before we left home once we arrived I helped him out of the car and took his blind fold of his eyes, also I parked right in front of the door. We enter the building I speak to everyone as we walk in and I receive and ugly look from the staff I let that slide and went ahead and let the concierge know that he has an appointment so from there where given a form for him to fill out to know and pick out what all he wants done after we fill it out I let the concierge know that I am leaving him there and if they can to call me once he's done and she says ok and she ask him to wait in the waiting area. I leave and not even 3 minutes later one of the ladies call me and tells me that they can't see my husband because he was under the influence ( He was not under the influence at all) so I asked her why would they think that he was under the influence and she never gave me and direct answer but she said the masseuse didn't feel comfortable giving him a message. I feel like because my Husband is a Black man they didn't want to give him a massage which I feel like it was racist thing. The address for this location is 1210 W 43rd ste 200 Houston, Tx *******

I booked an appointment and a few hours later had to cancel because I was being held over at work. I called to cancel and of course they were closed because it was in the middle of the night. I did leave a message. They charged my credit card anyway and when I called they said it's because I did not cancel 24 hours in advance. The man that said this was very rude. It was impossible for me to cancel 24 hours in advance when the appointment was not scheduled 24 hours in advance. There needs to be a revision to the policy in situations like this. I definitely will not come here and I will not recommend them to my friends family or patients.
They do not have enough people working there and you cannot get an appointment. They have cancelled two different appointments that I had set up. I can't even get an appointment for two or more months. I have now been charged for 3 sessions that were never completed and had to put my account on hold so they will stop charging me for massages that I am not receiving. This is no joke! DO NOT SIGN A CONTRACT.
After being a member for 3-4 years I was treated poorly when trying to cancel an appt due to covid. I was honest and let them know I could not come in because the covid numbers went up and I am high risk. They then informed me that I would have to pay for the full appt to cover the therapist. That is a lie because they do not give the therapist the full rate. I know this because I have friends that worked for them. I offered to tip the therapist for her time and they would not budge. I asked to talk to the manager and I was yelled at. When I tried to cancel my membership I was placed on hold for over 5 minutes. I called back and was told that I had to wait until the GM came in to cancel! This place is a joke. Not relaxing in any way. I was so stressed out over the way I was treated. I tried to leave a review on their website. Of course there is not way to do that! All their reviews on their website must be bought and paid for if a 3 year member can't figure out how to leave one!
Let me start by saying I've been a member for YEARS. I absolutely love my masseuse, Jackie. She's simply the best. Now the bad side... this franchise is horribly ran. Terrible owners and management who speak to their members completely unprofessional. When they opened back up after covid restrictions lifted, they implemented new "rules". I can't ever get in to use my sessions (I have a few accrued due to still paying during shutdowns). I've even tried to get in for facials not just massage and nothing is ever available. The manager basically told me to drop my membership when I spoke with him about this situation again. I contacted corporate as well who were not helpful either. Ridiculous company to be affiliated with, don't get a membership here.
Nothing wrong with the therapist. Chelsea. She was fantastic each time i used my membership. Twice of six. It is the business dealings that are sketchy. I was not able to use all 6 of my sessions fast enough, due to the limited scheduling they have availabe and my own limitations... so i lost them. After tip, i paid darn near $500 for 2, yes count the 2, hours of massage. I will not be back I DO NOT RECOMMEND!
I do not know where to start. I started a membership with ME and used it a lot but then it was so hard to get an appointment so the sessions kept building up. I am now leaving overseas and cannot use the sessions I have paid for. The GM told me she would cancel my membership but the sessions would never expire. So I thought it would be nice to give them to friends and family. I called ME and they said that the GM has to approve the transfer since it was an expired membership. I have emailed, called and even took the time to go into the store and still after a week, I cannot get the GM to approve it so the employees can transfer my sessions. I have emails etc from the GM but still cannot do anything. I was told I would get a call back yesterday but nothing. The employee today called the GM but I will not be surprised if I do not get a call back.
I just do not understand how this happens. I truly believe this GM is sinking and cannot deal with what is going on. Where did customer service go?
Updated** I received an email from someone from ME and they said that they can no longer transfer the sessions because of a system update. If they really wanted to honor my membership for the past years, they could easily let me transfer those sessions. So Lori Eastman who is the GM is going back on her word to me and couldn't even call me. She had to email me so I couldn't ask why.
I truly hope the leadership of ME see this and see what kind of ship they are running.
The representative never got detailed information. Just very fast to take my money and get contact signed. They could not even provide the service at my appointment. Horrible experience and refused to go back. Of course, they refused to refund my money. Even when I did not get the service. You must need the money more than I do -

IF YOU WANT A GREAT FACIAL, GO TO THE BRAINTREE LOCATION AND BOOK YOUR FACIAL WITH KATTY. SHE IS THE BEST! SHE TAKES HER TIME AND EXPLAINS EVERYTHING SHE'S DOING. SHE'S WELL-TRAINED, VERY PLEASANT, EFFICIENT AND FRIENDLY.

Unfortunately, there is no way to review and give zero stars. The Seal Beach Franchise of Massage Envy is so poorly managed that, when you have an appointment, you can not count on receiving services. Today was the 4th time this has happened to me. Twice, when I arrived for my appointment, they had no record of it. Three times I was notified the day of my appointment, but prior to my arrival, that the masseuse wasn't available. The first time, the masseuse was ill. The second time, the masseuse "wasn't able to come to work" that day. The third time, the same individual as the second time no longer worked for them, yet they scheduled my appointment with him.
When I spoke to the poorly kempt manager today and asked for a refund for the 8 credits that I have on the books she told me I would have to talk to corporate about that. When I asked for the contact information for the owner I was advised that the information was not available. When I asked for the telephone number for the corporate office I was told she didn't have that information either, that nowhere in the entire building was that information available. She did give me a list of emails and one number for customer service, which ended up being the number for a franchise in Michigan, who kindly emailed the corporate number to me. At this point, I have not been able to contact anyone at that number.
